Recently, the IPOB leadership, the Directorate of States(DOS) made the decision to withdraw their interest in the Justice Binta Nyako's Federal High Court continued trial of its Leader's Case. This decision comes in the wake of a deeply troubling Supreme Court ruling on December 15, 2023, which have been viewed as a miscarriage of justice.

The Supreme Court Justices in their ruling, admitted to several critical points that highlight the injustice faced by Nnamdi Kanu. Firstly, they acknowledged that Kanu did not jump bail but rather escaped assassination when the military invaded his house on September 14, 2017. Same invasion which led to the loss of 28 lives and destruction of properties.

Secondly, the Supreme Court Justices condemned the manner in which the IPOB leader was abducted in Kenya and extradited to Nigeria. The extraordinary rendition violated international law and Kanu's rights, yet he continues to be held in detention without bail.

Thirdly, the Supreme Court Justices criticized Justice Binta Nyako's decision to revoke Kanu's bail. This decision, which was based on spurious allegations, further demonstrates the bias and unfairness that have characterized this trial.

It is important to note that the Court of Appeal had previously delivered a landmark ruling on October 13, 2022, which took all these factors into consideration. The Court of Appeal discharged and acquitted Kanu of all charges, declaring him ineligible to stand trial further in any Nigerian court. This ruling was a clear indication of the lack of merit in the case against Kanu.

However, despite acknowledging and admitting these wrongdoing by the federal government against Kanu, the Supreme Court in its ill-delivered verdict, reversed the due judgment and remanded Kanu back to the Department of State Services (DSS) dungeon without bail. This decision reeks of political interference and raises serious concerns about the independence of the judiciary in Nigeria.

The IPOB leadership's decision to withdraw every confidence from the Judiciary reflects their lack of confidence in the fairness and impartiality of the judicial process. It is a damning indictment of the Nigerian legal system and its failure to uphold justice and the rule of law.

In conclusion, this withdrawal of IPOB's interest is a stark reminder of the injustice that continues to plague Nigeria's legal system. Kanu's case is not just about him; it is about the fundamental principles of justice and fairness that should govern any democratic society. Until these principles are upheld, Kanu's trial will remain a symbol of the injustices that persist in Nigeria.

Written by Chima O. The genocidist Yakubu Gowon led the second bloodiest genocide after the Israeli Holocaust against Biafrans between 1967 and 1970.

Recently, during a solidarity visit to President Tinubu, the genocidist, Yakubu Gowon, openly confessed to starting the genocidal war that they call a civil war against Ndigbo without shame. He equally confirmed that he was criticized for starting that war, yet he went ahead to commit the deadly genocide against Biafra Nation.

Below, we have identified the main betrayers in the Middle Belt's present crisis who dine with the Fulanis to kill their own people and have promised them part of Middle Belt land, especially in Plateau state the Gowon's Indigenous state:

1. The genocidists agenda was to wipe out Biafrans from the surface of the earth, but Chukwu Okike Abiama disappointed them. Today, Biafrans have moved on and prospered against all economic and developmental odds to the envy of Nigerians. Despite the depopulation agenda against Biafra through many years of pogroms and the civil war of genocide, today, the Biafra population is the highest among all the nations yoked together in their one-Nigeria

If Nigeria doubts the population strength of Biafra, we challenge them to conduct a digitalized population census.

The genocidist Gowon, through the British support, mobilized many world powers and fought against Biafra. The war of annihilation went on for three years against the small new Nation of Biafra. By the grace of Chukwu Okike Abiama, our heroes withstood their war of annihilation for three (3) years without foreign support. We are not surprised that an unrepentant and unapologetic war criminal, Yakubu Gowon, can still boldly boast of his genocidal actions against Biafra. In other sane nations, war criminals like Gowon are serving life imprisonment sentences for their part in genocide. But Nigeria is a nation that rewards criminals, terrorists, and treasurey looters while punishing FREEDOM FIGHTERS and human rights activists.

As other genocidists in Nigeria, Gowon is galavanting and glorifying himself for massacring millions of Biafran men, women, and children. His home state is under the occupation of terrorists and bandits today, but that is not his concern. The genocide he masterminded against Biafrans has visited his people. Fulani bandits and terrorists have taken over and renamed some of the villages in Tiv nation while Gowon is watching helplessly like the slave that he is. God has preserved Gowon to witness the same genocide he perpetrated against Biafrans. Fortunately, no inch of Biafran land was taken over by the Nigeria State during the bloody civil war. But Yakubu Gowon and his people have already lost some areas of their own land to Fulani conquerors and jihadists. And if care is not taken, the entire Middle Belt will be conquered by the Sokoto Fulani Caliphate. We don't wish that happens because of the innocent people of the Middle Belt even though we despise the unrepentant Genocidist Gowon and his fellow Nigerianists' actions against Biafrans.

We commend our eternal leader, Chief Dim, Odumegwu Ojukwu whether dead or alive, and other Biafra heroes and heroines for resisting the bloody genocide against Biafrans led by the genocidist, Gowon. By the special grace of Eze Chukwu Okike Abiama, this generation of Biafrans will finish the struggle and restore Biafra Independence. There is nothing people like war criminal Gen. Yakubu Gowon and company can do about it.

COMRADE EMMA POWERFUL, MEDIA, AND PUBLICITY SECRETARY FOR IPOB
Emeka Gifthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10134360289078060311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7046283784500530673.post-21320799097558092532024-02-25T00:31:00.000-08:002024-02-25T00:31:32.276-08:00IGBOPHOBIA: Why Aare Kurunmi's Rating Of Easterners Is Out Of An Assessment Marred With Cynicism
IGBOPHOBIA: Why Aare Kurunmi's Rating Of Easterners Is Out Of An Assessment Marred With Cynicism

Recently, a rather controversial and arguably illogical piece has been in circulation on various social media networks. And, the content is as usual, nothing less of what has constantly obtained; a jab at the Igbo nation and the South Eastern region, starring from the uproar and discontentment of various dissidents in the western and northern parts of Nigeria over the unbearable economic hardship that has enveloped the enclave, and the subsequent mysterious refusal to the bewilderment and disappointment of those who dearly crave their workforce to achieve their desired goal.

By invoking past memories and encounters, the East have opted to maintain strategic ambivalence and allow the North, West handle the crisis "they brought upon everyone". And, from the forgoing has this acclaimed Pan-Yoruba activist called Aare Kurunmi Kakanfo decided to continue throwing tantrums against the Igbos and accusingly positing that they would start another war in Nigeria.

In his view, the West (Yoruba) would never politically align with the East - as that would imply the "total surrender of the political, economic, social control of the South West to the Igbos" and such would not be possible. Ironically, Mr. Aare is making these nettlesome remarks at a time the Igbos are maintaining silence and apathy in any national issue.

For posterity sake, this obsession and fear-mongering of a "domineering Igbo devourers" has been in play since time immemorial and has always served as an easy-to-use card for whosever decides to deploy their ignorant peasants against the bogeymen while advertently and distractively keeping them peasants in perpetual hunger and misery.

Either from the days of the Sarduana of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello or Dr. Obafemi Awolowo up till the contemporary moment, the Igbos have always served as the perfect frightening objects or rather subjects, for the tactical, selfish politicial games of the ruling class. And, this has not changed nor is it expected to.

The Igbos in contrast to another ethnic make-up in Nigeria – and by admission of independent international sources, have evidently invested more in the Nigerian project without demanding for any extraordinary favor in return. If history serves right, the first and Igbo man to assume or contest a significant political position outside the East, was Nnamdi Azikiwe - who is regarded as one of the founding fathers and Pro-independent activists of the British amalgamated Nigeria, and this was when he contested for the premiership of the West and eventually lost or rather was kicked out by tribal jingoists led by his erstwhile comrade, Chief Awolowo.

It is important to emphasize that the actions of Azikiwe was ultimately influenced by the sentiments, purpose and promise of the Nigeria they ostensibly fought for; a Nigeria of pragmatic regionalism but with Federal characteristics devoid of tribalism and nepotism. Clearly, his detractors were not on the same page with him, thus he was roundly kicked out and he came back home to lick his wounds.

On the Economic level, the Igbos have mobilized and invested in immense proportion in other regions of Nigeria, even to the detriment of the development of the East, their homebase. They live amongst the community of wherever they are found, contribute to the development of the community and pay their tax as legitimate citizens and residents of where they are domiciled. The investments worth billions of dollars of Igbos are littered across western and Northern Nigeria, while later are recalcitrant to do same in the East.

The Igbo man has not fermented, sponsored funded any political party, candidate - either within the SouthEast or outside- for the sole benefit of himself, enterprises. However, he has exercise his constitutional rights to harbor a political will and not be intimidated to express it, and this he has done not from a tribalistic viewpoint, instead on meritocratic basis. And if that is what Mr. Aare Kakanfo refers to being "meddlesome", then he needs to be schooled about the entailments of the Nigerian constitution.

Admittedly, it is unarguable that there is an unsolvable fundamental ideological difference between not only the East and West, but inclusively the North. The incompatibility is glaring enough that all can see it. And, since Mr. Aare obviously believes that the Igbos needs to keep to the east, he should shun the hypocritical rhetorics of another Civil war and join campaign for the expulsion and exit of the East from Nigeria and even ban Easterners from visiting and travelling to Nigeria (then it would be essentially the west's and north's).

Igbos are not only in the deceptive "South East geopolitical zone" and cannot be reduced to such. The man who led the infamous January 15th 1966 mutiny vilely called "Igbo coup" - which was primarily about saving Yoruba land from an impending takeover by the ultranationalist Fulani warlord, Sir Ahmadu Bello and enthroning Chief Awolowo as president, is from okpanam present-day Delta State - though it is now assumed to be no longer part of the Igbo nation.

It is an insult to human intelligence, and it is only Brain-wrecked individuals and people would accept such a travesty. Not after the serial pogroms and Genocidal war that claimed the lives of over 3.5 million people (mostly children), not after the massacres of every male child in Asaba. Not after the" shoot everything that moves" order and "if the Biafra children must die first, then it is just too bad" euphoria by Benjamin Adekunle AKA black scorpion.

The East, the Igbos remains unapologetic for being who they are; for their economic wittiness, for being meritocratic, hardworking and resistant to oppression, for being true Pan-Africanist. Nevertheless, they have decided to maintain strategic ambivalence and that shall continue until the desired result is achieved.

In summary, the Igbos have paid heavily in their course and adventure of unfortunately finding their selves in a British amalgamated Nigeria. They owe nothing, rather those who killed, starved their children to death, stole their hard-earned money in the banks and gave them £20 to fizzle away,3 are those who owe them and will surely pay in folds when the time comes.

The East never asked for war nor did they started the Nigeria-Biafra war, as lately admitted by the Chief genocidist, Yakubu Gowon to the hearing of the global community. However, as always, the East reserves the right to defend themselves against aggression and threats of extermination as obtained 57 years ago. Self-defense is a natural right and all people are entitled to it. Those fanning the flames of war should be guided and advocate for the peaceful desolation of Nigeria.

Written By Enenienwite Ikechukwu

Edited by Ogah C S Maduabuchi

For Family Writers Press International.

Emeka Gifthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10134360289078060311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7046283784500530673.post-13777648624257773812024-02-24T22:11:00.000-08:002024-02-24T22:11:07.393-08:00A Rebuttal to Aare Kurunmi Kakanfo's Allegations Against the Igbos
A Rebuttal to Aare Kurunmi Kakanfo's Allegations Against the Igbos

This is a reply to some statements attributed to Aare Kurunmi Kakanfo, a pan-Yoruba activist concerning the Igbo people in Nigeria. In his statements there are numerous misconceptions and misrepresentations that warrant clarification. Kakanfo's assertions paint an inaccurate and unfair picture of the Igbo people's aspirations and intentions within the Nigerian federation. It is essential to address these misconceptions and provide a more nuanced perspective on the Igbo people's desires and contributions to Nigeria's socio-political landscape.

First, Kakanfo's statement suggests that the Southwest and Southeast regions of Nigeria cannot align politically unless the Southwest surrenders control to the Igbos. This assertion is misleading and ignores the complexities of Nigeria's political dynamics. Mr Kakanfo and others who may be sharing similar perspective should understand that the Igbo people like persons of any other ethnic groups in Nigeria, have legitimate right to aspire for political representation and influence without the need for any region to surrender control.

Secondly, Kakanfo's claim that the Southwest desire a Nigeria where its resources and taxes will be used solely for the development of Yorubaland oversimplifies the Southwest's political aspirations. The Southwest, like other regions, seeks a Nigeria where resources are equitably distributed, and all regions benefit from national resources for their development.

Kakanfo's assertion that the Igbo people want to dictate how other regions are governed and claim rights beyond their traditional homeland is a misrepresentation. The Igbo people, like all Nigerians, seek a Nigeria where every citizen is free to pursue their aspirations without discrimination or marginalization. The desire for political representation does not equate to a desire to dominate or impose one's will on others.

Additionally, Kakanfo's characterization of the Igbo people as constantly complaining and turning themselves into opposition in non-Igbo states is unfair. The Igbo people, like other ethnic groups, have the right to express their grievances and seek redress within the confines of the law. Painting them as perpetual complainers overlooks the legitimate grievances that many Igbo people have faced over the years.

It is also misleading to suggest that the Igbo people seek to impose their cultural and political preferences on other ethnic groups. The Igbo people, like all Nigerians, value diversity and understands the importance of respecting the cultural and political differences of others. Any suggestion to the contrary is a misrepresentation of their intentions.

In conclusion, Aare Kurunmi Kakanfo's statements regarding the Igbo people are based on misconceptions and misrepresentations. The Igbo people, like all Nigerians, seek a Nigeria where every citizen is treated fairly and have equal opportunities to pursue their aspirations. It is essential to debunk these misconceptions and promote a more inclusive and understanding approach to Nigeria's diversity.

Written by Chima O. It is a time we watch several shocking events unfold with such a speed of light that one must be strategically positioned in order to remain in touch and control of situations and their possible outcomes in his pathway.

Following the recent general hardship ravaging Nigerian, orchestrated by the daily skyrocketing cost of living, we have witnessed that it appears the effects is telling more on some regions in the country where protests and strikes have begun. With North and South West bearing heavily the effects of the hardship, South - East have witnessed a minimal effect of its own share on the Easterners. This have led to what appears as though some Easterners are making mockery of the situation, while the North and West are cunningly pleading for East to join them in protest against the government of Ahmed Bola Tinubu, a Southwesterner.

However, it is important to note that since over five (5) decades ago, Easterners have been maneuvering economic strangulation policies from both Western and Northern cabals ruling the Nigeria. It is palpable to understand that the effect of the current realities in Nigeria is not going to have heavy blows on Easterners due to their harsh economic survival instincts and skills developed over the years of deliberate marginalization and injustices. This in ironical disposition explains why the mockery celebrations from some quarters are urging the situation in the country.

Suffice to say, Easterners must understand that as bush hunters in the Nigerian State, we must remain calm, with absolute decorum, move with consistency without unnecessary attractions and distractive noises. This is because with our calmness, we would not be distracted easily by the twilight of events that shapes the struggle we are in. We would be able to decipher what we want out of the situation at hand. Carefulness and propriety is expected of us in this trying time. We should not aggravate or endanger ourselves, interests and properties, out of exuberances.

This calls for avoidance of unnecessary attractions and distractions as seen in the unwarranted mockery celebrations going on in various parts of Igboland and on social media. These noises could get us loose focus on the ball, and or indirectly fuel another level of Igbophobic agenda against our people outside the East. As the tension and polity in Nigeria is eagerly searching for avenue to prey on the East as scapegoat.

The present ugly situation in the Zoo(Nigeria) is preparing Biafrans towards reaching our goal. Therefore, we should be smart enough not to jeopardize our positions and interests now or ever. As hunting and noise making does not go together, Biafrans in general should understand that we are encircled by events that tends to shape our struggle. At this moment, noise making will distract our focus, prolong our hunting time in the bush. Believe it or not. It will come. The best way to defend peace is to prepare for WAR. Here were the steps taken in the last 8 years by Fulani to set Nigeria on the part of war apart from the British plot to retain Fulani, the most retrogressive group, in power so as to keep Nigeria stunted.

1). Buhari and his Fulani kinsmen ab initio brought him to power in order to ensure the Fulani would be out of Government, but not out of power. For the 8 years, Buhari’s party, Congress for Progressive Change, CPC ruled Nigeria though in the name of All Progressives Congress, (APC). The CPC was the real party in power. It controlled all the major security organs of government. For the past 8 years, under the flimsy rehabilitation of terrorists, thousands of Fulani have been recruited into the Nigerian security apparatus through the backdoor.

2). The CPC officials stole the country dry. The agenda was to keep public funds in private pockets in order to prepare for the inevitable war. It is not just about corruption; it is about rogue stealing for a political agenda.

3) Buhari allowed armed Fulani gangs to have full dominion in all forests in Yorubaland, Middle Belt territories and in the South East. They have already established armed cells. The armed groups are in thousands. They will be used to torment and harass the country into submission either to force a military intervention or to destabilise any regime that is in power.

4) Buhari removed subsidy beginning from January 2022. The subsidy budget ended in May 2023. The second day he left power, prices of everything went up. This is a deliberate plan to create chaos that would lead to mass uprising which the Fulani, which is still better placed in the Army and all other security institutions, wants to explore. This is not to rationalise the profligate and corrupt regime that took over from Buhari.

5) Buhari and the Fulani cabal borrowed so much money to the tune of N37trillion. His government was using 95 percent of earnings to service debt. There is no way any government that succeeded him would make it. There is no miracle any government can perform. Buhari has already set the tone for inevitable misery and chaos. It is made worse because his successor has continued with the same pattern of exploitation and reckless stealing of public funds even in the first few months of the regime.

6) Buhari and his Fulani cabal took foreign funds and agreed to pay with crude oil. This will last for many years. As Nigeria sells crude, substantial part of the money would be deducted by creditors. This is a huge hurdle that will never allow Nigeria to survive the next two years. Fulani need this chaos to bring back the Army which structure remains in their hands. We must resist this by all means necessary.

7) Buhari armed the Ijaw in the Niger Delta. It was a political decision that many fail to understand. He gave N4b protection of pipelines to Tom Polo and also asked Asari Dokubo to protect Abuja-Kaduna highway with some 2.5billion given to his armed group. A lot of people fail to understand the reason. The Fulani want an alliance with the Ijaw which produce most of Nigeria oil. They calculate that the Ijaw needed to be fully armed for two reasons: To use them as ally to fight against Igbo South East and Yoruba South West when the war starts. When the war starts, they also wanted to retain and bargain for the control of many oil rigs they own in the Niger Delta. It is unthinkable that a FGN (Fulani Government of Nigeria) would provide so much money for armed rebels if not for its own strategic considerations. As we speak today, the Ijaws are armed to the teeth. In protecting oil pipelines, they have also used the opportunity to bring so many arms into their part of the country The Fulani calculates that with Ijaw fighting Yoruba and Igbo, the Fulani would negotiate a foothold in the Niger-Delta. The Fulani also calculates that a well armed Ijaw would ensure Yoruba or Igbo do not have access to oil and therefore would not deny the Fulani the chance of entering the Ijaw territory through a plotted alliance. You must have observed that Fulani armed groups are not present in Ijaw forests. Unfortunately, Tinubu came and rewarded the contracts to Tompolo. Disgracefully, Tompolo is even protecting the pipelines in Yoruba territories.

WHAT IS TO BE DONE?

The Yoruba political class is empty. They can never save Yorubaland. They are barren and arid in ideology. The future lay in our own hands. We call on Yoruba people to prepare. Nigeria cannot survive the landmines laid by the Fulani. The landmines will soon begin to detonate one by one.

Plans of Parliamentary system to begin in 2031 is another Fulani agenda. That is the period the current regime will end. Its another plot to delude Nigerians and reinforce false hope. While the Fulani is planning for war, they are deceiving other Nigerians to have hope in a country they detest with cruel hatred. Nigeria only makes sense to Fulani if the country is under her armpit. Yoruba Nation, Prepare or be doomed.

From Apapo Oodua Koya, (AOKOYA) Public Enlightenment Bureau

Emeka Gifthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10134360289078060311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7046283784500530673.post-32526179414753568412024-02-20T03:24:00.000-08:002024-02-20T03:24:43.741-08:00 IPOB Bans Nigeria Hunger Protests In Biafra Land
IPOB Bans Nigeria Hunger Protests In Biafra Land

Following the unprecedented hardship in the contraption called Nigeria, we the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by the great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu Kanu hereby caution the people of Biafra not to join any Nigerianists to protest against hunger in Nigeria in any Biafran territory. Any Nigerian agent who dares to organize any protest in Biafraland will regret it.

The current hardship in Nigeria should be the concern of Nigerians, not Biafrans. Biafrans are no longer interested in the affairs of Nigeria. Biafrans were abused, intimidated, beaten, and killed and denied voting rights during the election of this present government. Ndigbo were told to wait that it is their turn to rule, not the turn of Ndigbo. The aftermath of the fraudulent elections was the demolition of Ndigbo's properties and investments in the West and Northern parts of the zoo called Nigeria. Has anyone or groups organized a protest against the demolition of Ndigbo's properties in the West and North? Anyone who organize any protest against economic hardship in Biafraland will put Biafrans in danger. During the #ENDSARS protest, the Nigerian government and their agents like ex-Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike accused Ndigbo of attempting to destroy Nigeria with violence that ensued making sure that his masters won't tag him an Igbo man. We don't want such profiling and targeting to repeat because of Ndigbo's participation in any Nigerian mass protest. Biafrans should leave the current economic hardship in the contraption called Nigeria for Nigerians to deal with because this hardship is what God Almighty Chukwu Okike Abiama has in stock for Nigeria for the crimes they have committed against Biafrans between 1967 to 1970 and up to date.

We understand that Biafrans are equally affected by the economic hardship arising from the reckless and thoughtless economic policies of Emilokon, but God Almighty Chukwu Okike Abiama is still seeing Biafrans through. We are worried about the suffering of other tribes but there is nothing we can do. The current situation is why Biafrans are fighting for freedom. Nevertheless, we must apply wisdom. Biafrans have gone far for Biafra restoration Independence, and it must materialize very soon. Biafrans have gone through the worst economic crisis and emerged victoriously during their planned war of annihilation against the Igbo race. During the genocidal war between 1967 and 1970, Nigerian soldiers went house to house to annihilate Biafrans. The government placed food and salt embargo on Biafrans. After the genocidal war, the Nigeria government placed further economic strangulation on Biafrans by giving us only £20 (pound) to start life over in their Nigeria despite irrespective of our millions in the Bank. What a wicked policy! God Almighty Chukwu Okike Abiama is rewarding Nigeria and Nigerians who participated in the tribal war of annihilation against the people of God Almighty. We have had and continued to have our share amount of economic hardship imposed on Ndigbo by Nigeria.

By the grace of Eze Chukwu Okike Abiama, we shall also triumph over the current Emilokon's imposed economic hardship. "When eating in the same pot with an enemy, you must use a very long spoon." That long spoon is what Ndigbo requires at a time like this and to focus on the ball because Ndigbo are hated in Nigeria.

Anyone or group that wants to organize a protest for Nigeria hardship should kindly go to the Northern or Western Nigeria and stage such protest there.

Our region is battling the State sponsored insecurity, kidnappings, and killings by the Nigeria government's agencies and agents, including Fulani terrorists. We have much in our hands to do. We will not allow anyone or any group to use the arrangement of protests to import more agents of destabilization into our territory.

ESN is ready to take on the government's agents who will want to organize hunger protests in Biafraland. Therefore, the IPOB intelligence unit must be on high alert to identify those planning to destabilize Biafraland with senseless Nigeria hunger protests. But Biafrans will come out of this one too unscathed. We will see how serious Nigerians are and how well they are handling the protest.

Biafrans should call IPOB's inquiry lines if any person or group are found planning to stage a Nigerian hunger protest in our territory. If we catch anyone organizing hunger protests in Biafra land, they will have ESN Operatives and IPOB volunteers to contend with, and the person will "smell pepper."

Biafrans should allow Nigerians to carry their cross because if we do Chukwu Okike Abiama will be annoyed with us. Our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Okwuchukwu Kanu, prophetically told about these things that are happening today in Nigeria, and Biafrans should stay calm, resolute and unbreakable because the situation will be over soon in our favor. While the company heavily charges the populace for their services, it consistently fails to provide a reliable supply of electricity, thereby plunging homes and businesses into darkness and distruction. People are forced to pay exorbitant bills for a service they rarely receive. This exploitation is not only unjust, but also stifles economic growth and development in the region.

The management of the EEDC, epitomized by Emeka Ofor is not only a failure but have come under fire for their apparent incompetence and lack of accountability. Ofor, who has a questionable track record in community affairs, seems ill-equipped to manage the complex challenges of providing electricity to an entire region. His managerial failures have only exacerbated the already dire situation faced by the people.

More unfortunate is the South East Governors' lack of will or ability to address the EEDC's failures, because they are all criminal minded leaders who pleasure on the proceeds of failure. Instead of holding the EEDC company accountable and seeking alternative solutions, these governors have allowed the status quo to persist. This inaction of the South East Governors hugely questions their commitment to the well-being of their states. So, it is time they takes decisive action and kick the EEDC out of the region, or force it give the society their agreed service.

The constitutional power now rests with the states to generate their own electricity, and it is imperative to exercise this power to provide a better alternative to the EEDC. The Enugu State government, in connavince with some community leaders, has mapped out some community's land to be sold to Fulanis. The names of the community leaders in such connavince will be made public soon. Enugu State citizens must know about the arrangements of Dr. Peter Mba in giving away their ancestral lands to the murderous bandits for his political interests and compensation.

IPOB is monitoring Governor Peter Mba and his collaborators. They should understand that IPOB will not allow the establishment of any murderous camp for jihadist Fulanis in the name of cattle ranch anywhere in Enugu State. If Governor Peter Mba is genuinely interested in establishing a cattle ranch in Enugu State, such ranch must be managed privately by an Igbo businessman. Only Ndigbo are allowed to own cattle ranches anywhere in Igbo land. We don't want to have murderous Fulanis operating any cattle ranch in Alaigbo.

Governor Peter Mba should not allow what happened at Eha Mufu two(2) years ago to repeat itself because of his need to chase a political cloud. The governor should understand that IPOB is not joking. We must chase away murderous fulani jihadist herdsmen anywhere they are seen in the South East Region. If Fulani herdsmen has paid Dr. Peter Mba or any Traditional Leader for any parcel of Land in Enugu State, they should better go and collect their money back. Dear Dr. Peter Mba, if you want to have a smooth and peaceful regime in Enugu State, you must jettison the idea of establishing a Fulani cattle ranch in the state.

ESN must be on an alert and wait for an order from the IPOB leadership to move into Nimbo Community in Uzowani. We call on the community youths, community groups, and Enugu citizens to provide IPOB/ESN with any information of any proposed site for Fulani camp or ranch anywhere around Uzowani. ESN will stop at nothing to ensure that Peter Mba and his government don't establish RUGA in any part of Enugu State.

We are also informing South East Governors to shun any idea of establishing cattle ranch in any state in the South East Region. IPOB and ESN Operatives won't allow any establishment of Fulani camp in the name of cattle ranch in any state in the Biafra territory.

COMRADE EMMA POWERFUL, MEDIA, AND PUBLICITY SECRETARY FOR IPOB.
Emeka Gifthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10134360289078060311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7046283784500530673.post-21543358749186823272024-02-12T06:01:00.000-08:002024-02-12T06:01:51.291-08:00 Summary Of The British Government Sponsored And Supervised Genocide Against Biafan People
Summary Of The British Government Sponsored And Supervised Genocide Against Biafan People

SUMMARY OF THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT SPONSORED AND SUPERVISED GENOCIDE AGAINST BIAFAN PEOPLE (aka) NIGERIAN - BIAFRAN CIVIL WAR.

Nigerian Civil War In Chronological Order - WE SHALL NEVER FORGET:

1. Often disguised in its insidious and appealing form that allows it to penetrate key institutions meant to ensure the effectiveness of running affairs of state, primarily the one responsible for upholding of justice and fairness, which unarguably is the very anchorage or springboard whence development and growth finds its root.

In Nigeria, the judiciary, purported and expected to be the bastion of righteousness, stands accused and guilty of succumbing to the rot of corruption. Among the myriad victims of this malaise is Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) movement – who was kidnapped and extraordinarily renditioned from Kenya nearly three years ago and whose legal tussle with the Nigerian Government, has invariably exposed the level of decadence and erosion of justice in the country.

The adage "the worst corruption is the corruption of the best" resonates profoundly in Nigeria's judicial system. The judiciary, entrusted with the sacred duty of safeguarding the rule of law and ensuring equality of all before it - regardless of class, creed or orientation has, in many instances, been compromised by the influence of money, power, and political interests. Justice, once perceived as an impartial arbiter, has been morphed to be a commodity available to the highest bidder in Nigeria.

Reports of judges soliciting bribes and manipulating the legal system in favor of the vendee, as well as political interference in judicial proceedings remains rampant and have become common in the Nigerian enclave. The consequences of this systemic corruption are dire, as it undermines public trust in the judiciary, weakens the foundation and credibility of the supposed Nigerian democracy, and perpetuates impunity among/of the ruling elite.

Within this context of institutional and constitutional decay, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's legal saga has served as a poignant, practical example of the injustices wrought in the compromised Nigerian judiciary. Kanu, a vocal advocate and political activist - for the self-determination of the people of Eastern Nigeria otherwise known as Bịafrans - through the establishment of the Republic of Biafra via a United Nations supervised referendum, has been embroiled in a web of intense legal battles since his unlawful abduction in 2015 by the Nigerian security agencies.

The charges against Kanu, ranging from treasonable felony to terrorism, is clearly understood to be politically motivated, aimed at silencing the dissension and quelling the aspirations of the IPOB movement. Despite the lack of credible evidence to substantiate these charges levied by the Federal government either in penultimate 2015-17 or contemporary 2021-date, Kanu has continued to languished in solitary confinement of the Nigerian State Gestapo secret Police Gulag for nearly three years, a victim of judicial delay tactics and executive overreach.

Throughout their ordeal, Kanu and IPOB have always decried the corruption Nigeria’s judiciary, alleging that the legal system has been weaponized to suppress their legitimate demands for self-determination and equity, citing instances of judicial bias against them, arbitrary rulings, and the denial of bail as evidence of a rigged system designed to subjugate dissenting voices.

The case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu underscores the broader struggle for justice and human rights in Nigeria. It exposes the fault lines of a legal system marred by corruption, inequity, and impunity. Kanu's supporters argue that his persecution is emblematic of the systemic oppression faced by marginalized communities in Nigeria, particularly the Igbo people of the southeast region.

The quest for justice in Kanu's case has extended beyond the confines of the courtroom, manifesting in widespread protests, international advocacy campaigns, and calls for accountability by the Nigeria legal and political establishment. Civil society organizations, human rights activists, and foreign governments have condemned the judicial persecution of Kanu and demanded his unconditional release. Coupled with the Airtight decision of Appellate court on 13th October, 2022 - which ordered his unconditional discharge and acquittal, although the Nigerian Supreme Court agreed with the argument and reason that led to the decision of its subordinate court, yet refused to uphold the judgement.

Despite plausible calls, pressure from reputable and prominent institutions and individuals alike, the Nigerian government has remained obstinate in its persecution of Kanu, other thousands of detained members/sympathizers of the Biafra cause and suppression of the IPOB movement. The authorities continued to extrajudicially manipulate the powers of the legal system against dissenting voices, employing tactics of intimidation, harassment, and judicial manipulation to stifle the civil resistance of the IPOB movement.

In the face of such adversity, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB have persevered, their resolve undeterred by the machinations of an oppressive state in collaboration with its pliable judiciary. They have leveraged the power of grassroots mobilization, media advocacy, and international solidarity to amplify their message of self-determination and support for the resistance.

The plight of Kanu and IPOB serves as a rallying cry for all those who seek justice, equality, and freedom in Nigeria. It exposes the glaring contradictions of a nation that purports to be a democracy yet denies its citizens the fundamental rights enshrined in its constitution. It challenges the notion of a fair and impartial judiciary and calls into question the legitimacy of the Nigerian democracy - which it, as well as its western enablers continues to use a pretext for oppression of not internally inside Nigeria, but also in West Africa sub region or even the wider African continent, to the benefit of their nefarious neocolonial advances and interests.

The struggle for justice in Nigeria is far from over, but the resilience of icons like Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB movement offers hope in the face of adversity and the fortitude to be courageous in the face of unprecedented provocation and oppression. Their courage in the face of persecution will certainly serve as an inspiration to those who genuinely aspires to resist injustice and corruption, to demand accountability from those in power, and to envision a future where justice prevails for all not in today's Nigeria, but in also in the wider African continent and elsewhere. The precedent has been set and will endure forever.

As the world watches, the fate of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB hangs in the balance of uncertainty, given the fact that the IPOB movement has resolved to "throw in the towel" - in terms of trust and confidence in the Nigerian judicial system - a consequence of Nigeria's ill-conceived actions, arrogance and weaponization of the judiciary. The outcome and antecedents of their legal perseverance battle will reverberate far beyond the confines Nigerian enclave, and will shape the trajectory and future of the Nigeria experiment that was instigated by the British over a century ago and annals of history will be poised to bear conspicuous witness.

Written By Chima O. In the case of Nnamdi Kanu, and his extraordinary rendition from Kenya to Nigeria, which was a clear violation of not only his rights, but also the Nigerian law, constitution as well as international law - the United Nations charters and treaties which the Nigerian state is signatory to.

The lack of transparency in the proceedings and resolution of the supreme court on the case challenges the principles of justice and outrightly undermines the credibility of Nigeria's legal system on the International and local stage, given the fact that the Supreme Court of Nigeria after all informed gestures, in its wisdom and capacity and explicit stipulations in the Nigerian constitution went ahead on 15th December, 2023, to opine what is in essence a travesty of justice - by justifying and greenlighting the continuous detention, trial and incarceration of the IPOB Leader - even though the supreme court had agreed that the Extraordinary Rendition was a crime locally and Internationally, and on which the Appellate Court, a year ago anchored its resolution upon and ordered his discharge and acquittal.

The global community closely observes cases of the extraordinary rendition of the IPOB Leader, his fundamental human rights violations as well as the level of disdain and contemptuousness of the Nigerian government for its law, constitution and also International law.

The Nigeria's legal system also now faces scrutiny, as questions arise about its to uphold the, expected rigidity against nefarious influence and the commitment to upholding the law, local and international. The plethora of justification of gross illegalities not only with the case of Kanu, but also with the fiasco of the disputed 2023 Nigerian presidential election and the blatant, corrupt culpability of the Nigerian judiciary raises concerns about trust and competitiveness in the Nigerian judicial system not only the agitators (IPOB), foreigners investors who are leaving the Nigerian economic landscape in droves, but also the average common man on the streets.

The extraordinary rendition of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the ongoing persecution of the IPOB agitation by the state with the blessings of the judiciary, expose ignoble vulnerabilities in Nigeria's legal system, which are just too much to ignore or wave off.

For posterity and objectivity sake, To address these challenges, Nigeria has to consider legal and institutional reforms - although the likelihood of such is dim, given the ineptitude, arrogant ultranationalism and corruption that obtains in elite class that bedevils the enclave. Strengthen the legal system, enhancing transparency, and ensuring due process as essential steps towards rebuilding trust in the nation's governance and independence of the judiciary. This requires a commitment to upholding the rule of law, protecting citizens' rights, and fostering a legal environment conducive to justice and fairness.

And, even if Nigeria should start now in those overdue reforms. It would still be a little to late, given the level of damage and self-inflicted destruction it has brought on it self by its actions and inactions. There is no guarantee that those who the Nigerian state, system has gravely offended - who are no other than the people domiciled inside it, especially the East but not limited to, will ever have trust to wholeheartedly return or embrace Nigeria as their country.

However, this could undoubtedly be a plausible step towards righting the wrongs of the past century and could also facilitate mutual cooperation in various areas and works of live, even as partitioned and estranged different countries. And could halt further chaos or even a repetition of another civil war. The choice ultimately is in the hands of the Nigerian elites and their foriegn facilitators, the people of the East heralded by the IPOB movement, will find their self in the unfortunate position, to counter, respond and defend their selves, lives, culture, idealogy, region and Nation.

Written Chima O. The Nigerian-Biafran War (1967-1970) serves as a poignant example of how geopolitical interests can overshadow the pursuit of peace, with Britain's role casting a long shadow over the region's history.

The Aburi Accord, signed in January 1967, was a crucial attempt to reconcile the grievances between the Nigerian government and Biafra. Crafted in Ghana, the agreement aimed to decentralize power, granting more autonomy to the regions within Nigeria. However, Britain, a former colonial power with vested interests in Nigeria, played a pivotal role in undermining the accord and escalating tensions.

Britain's intervention in the Nigerian-Biafran conflict was multifaceted. Firstly, it used its diplomatic influence to undermine the Aburi Accord, fearing that a decentralized Nigeria would threaten its economic and strategic interests in the region. Secondly, Britain provided military support to the Nigerian government, enabling it to wage a brutal campaign against Biafra.

The consequences of Britain's actions were catastrophic. The Nigerian-Biafran War resulted in the deaths of over 5 million Biafrans, many of whom were civilians caught in the crossfire or succumbed to starvation due to a blockade imposed by the Nigerian government supervised by Britain. The conflict, characterized by ethnic tensions and humanitarian crises, left a deep scar on the collective memory of the region and Africa.

The parallels between Britain's role in the Nigerian-Biafran War and the current situation in Ukraine are striking. Just as Britain manipulated peace negotiations in Nigeria to serve its interests, there are interfering in the peace process between Russia and Ukraine.

Recent revelations, including statements by an American Journalist Tucker Carlson, suggest that there were genuine efforts towards a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine. However, external pressures, allegedly orchestrated by the Britain through Boris Johnson truncated the process and influenced Biden admiration to derail these efforts, perpetuating the cycle of conflict and suffering.

This is the same demonic role Britain played and scuttled #AburiAccord that plunged Nigeria and #Biafra into a brutal war that saw the murder of over 3.5 million Biafrans of which Britain directly sponsored Nigeria.

Today Britain through Boris Johnson has played the same role… pic.twitter.com/zzMycqDRHA
— Emeka Gift Official (@EmekaGift100) February 10, 2024

The role of media propaganda cannot be overlooked in shaping public perception and justifying external interventions. In the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) movement, civil disobedience has served as a crucial, potential tool in their struggle for Self-determination, justice, and freedom.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the IPOB movement, whom champions the struggle for the self-determination of the Biafran people - domiciled in the Eastern part of Nigeria, has been facing allegations and charges by the Nigerian state, thus it has become imperative to look into the nature, intentions and overall philosophy behind his agitation for Biafra independence, how plausible and result yielding it has been over the years.

Drawing divine guidance from style of productive activism of prominent figures like Mahatma Gandhi - the father of India Independence from colonial rule, and Late Martin Luther King Jr, who advocated and employed civil disobedience as a viable technique to confront the societal segregationally injustices being meted against the Black folks in the United States during his time. It becomes apparent that Kanu's style of activism from inception, align and draws immense inspiration from the principles of peaceful and unconventional resistance.

In embracing civil disobedience, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB movement brought to attention of the global community, the maltreatment and marginalization of the Biafran people and dispelled the consciously engineered misinformation and propaganda; that the Biafran people or even a disproportionate section of them are troublemakers, rebels and irredentists who perpetually deserves to be occupied, surveilled and marginalized by the celestial Federal government of Nigeria and its security apparatus.

The echoes and howls of historical century-long emasculation of the people of Eastern Nigeria (Biafrans) resonates even till this very moment, mirroring the struggles faced by the IPOB movement whose leader is still being illegally detained in the Nigerian Department Of States Services solitary confinement cell - after he was kidnapped and extraordinarily renditioned from Kenya nearly three years ago, and even after the Nigerian Supreme Court of Appeal ordered his unconditional discharge and acquittal, he has continued to be arbitrarily detained and incarcerated by the Nigerian state.

The beauty of civil disobedience lies in its ability to tactically disrupt the status quo, compel the oppressors to review its tyrannous policies, and consider the plausible demands of the marginalized. And this has, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB movement, maximized in the struggle for liberation and confrontation with the Nigerian state.

It is crucial to emphasize that civil disobedience is not a crime in itself rather a retaliatory or reactive response to seeming and obtained injustice. It is a provisional pedigree of the system, used to fight the oppressive nature of the same system.

Although Kanu's actions and activism may periodically be viewed by even core Nigerian nationalists as a call for constitutional and legal reforms within the Nigerian context, yet agitations and demands goes beyond that. His call for a United Nations supervised referendum for the people of Eastern Nigeria, to determine if they wish to continue in the unconsented British amalgamated Nigeria, remains indispensable, even while in shackles.

However, the complexities of Kanu's current ordeal highlights the misinterpretation and misconception of the principle of civil disobedience in a democratic setting, by the Federal government who have overtime levied trumped up terror charges against him and launched serial extrajudicial crackdown on the IPOB movement and its sympathizers.

The draconian measures deployed by the Nigeria government against Kanu and that of the movement he leads raises serious question about the intolerance of the government for dispensation of justice, equity and fairness - which are the basic principles of universal Human and People's right.

As the Biafran people ultimately rallies behind Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB movement, the broader conversation shifts towards examining the role, civil disobedience has played in contemporary struggles for self-determination and if there is a need for a review and improvising of strategy to achieve the desired goal, which is Freedom!

Nonetheless, civil disobedience has undoubtedly served as potential tool in the IPOB-Biafra struggle, and has dispelled uninformed notions not only about the personalities of people of the East, in the eyes of the world. But, also the legitimacy of their struggle and resistance against oppression and their consistency and resoluteness to live free, as every other nation and people around the world.

Written By Chima O.
<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">For reference purpose, Extraordinary rendition
involves the extrajudicial transfer of a person from one country to another,
often without due legal extradition process. While governments who have engaged
in the international crime argues that it is a crucial tool in combating
terrorism, critics contends that it violates fundamental human rights and
undermines the principles of justice.

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">One of the key issues bedeviling the
act extraordinary rendition is the lack of due process. Individuals subjected
to this draconian process, are totally denied the opportunity to defend
themselves in a court of law before been rendered, leading to a glaring absence
of justice.

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">On this note the following questions
has to be carefully considered; Can a government fairly try an individual they
have extraordinarily rendition, in their court without violating the very
principles of justice they claim they intend to uphold? Does their legal system or constitution legitimize
and condones the rendition crime, and are they not under International treaties
and binding signatories that abhors the rendition crime?

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">The United Nations Convention Against
Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman, or Degrading Treatment or Punishment
explicitly prohibits the transfer of individuals to countries where they may
face torture. Extraordinary rendition invariably places its victims precisely
in such precarious situations, infringing upon their basic human rights and
dispelling the tenacious authority of international law that protects these
rights. The case of Mazi Kanu falls squarely under the above description as he
is being subjected to severe physical, psychological and mental torture in the
Nigerian Department Of States Service (DSS) solitary confinement cell in Abuja.

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">Nnamdi Kanu's case in the extraordinary
rendition context is not only delicate but unique. The leader of the Indigenous
People of Biafra (IPOB), movement was kidnapped, tortured for eight days in
Kenya before being extraordinarily rendition to Nigeria, under trumped up
terrorism charges - which overtime has been ultimately quashed by various
competent court of jurisdiction in Nigeria -
stating that his methods of political activism which are peaceful
demonstration and civil disobedience are totally legal, and are in no violation
of either the Nigerian constitution or International law.

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">Thus, the ill-conceived act of
rendition committed by the Nigerian government against the IPOB Leader, raising
serious concerns about its obligation to due process, transparency, and
adherence to international legal standards and biddings.

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">Evaluating this is crucial in
understanding the responsibility and legitimacy of the successive Nigeria
governments especially with its flagrant disregard for its own court
resolutions, such as the decision of the Appeal court on 13th October,2022 -
which ordered the discharge and acquittal of Mazi Kanu and further barring his
trial in any Nigeria court, on the premises of the extraordinary means through
which he was brought to stand trial in Nigeria.

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">Furthermore, it is becoming evident that
Nigeria's legal system is rather ill-equipped to handle the case of Mazi Kanu,
or has little or nothing to do in ensuring that the informed decisions of
competent court of jurisdiction, are executed to the letter. Thus, the need for
diversification is required in resolving the disagreements between the two
parties - IPOB and the Nigerian government. And, it is totally in the place of
the IPOB movement which he Kanu - is at the helm, to determine which means or
strategy is suitable to confront the Nigerian government with.

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">

<span face=""Segoe UI Symbol",sans-serif" style="mso-bidi-font-family: "Segoe UI Symbol";">The practice of extraordinary rendition
presents a formidable challenge to the principles of justice and human rights
as far as International law is concerned. The case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu serves
as a viable lens through which, one can see in its entirety, the commitment of
the Nigerian state to legal norms and international standards. And in this
context, states who do not respect either its own laws nor its International
obligations falls under the global description of a pariah state.

The bereft decision it made while acknowledging the unlawfulness of Kanu's kidnap and extraordinary rendition from Kenya, cleared those suspicions about the independence and law-based self-directiveness of the Apex Court in making decisions.

During the proceedings, the Justices acknowledged the illegality of the Nigerian government's actions in kidnapping and extraordinary renditioning Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, yet upturned the judgement of the appeal court of 13th October, 2022 which summarily discharged and acquitted Kanu, based on the premises and process through which he was brought to stand trial by the Nigeria government.

The Supreme Justices also affirmed that Kanu did not jump bail – as a consequence of the brutal assault and assassination plot by the Nigerian army on him, in his home on 14th September, 2017 – which led to the loss of over 28 innocent unarmed civilians and ultimately resulted to his flight out of Nigeria to secure his life.

This extrajudicial act by the Nigerian government cum military, is in clear violation of the does and does nots of the 'Bail pending trial' clause encoded in the constitution, as well as international law. Despite this serial acknowledgment, the Supreme Court went on to revert the case of the Federal High Court - whom a year earlier had resolved, it had no jurisdiction or "judicial might" to prosecute Mazi Kanu, thereof sending the case to the Supreme Court of Appeal, which gave its judgement on the 13th October, 2022.

The essential question that bothers all conscientious observers on this issue is; on what premises did the Supreme Court decided to overturn the landmark and airtight decision of the Appeal Court, and revert back the case to the High Court? The suspicion deepens when one considers the report that, the Justices were in synergy and the judgement was not a unanimous one, indicating disgruntlement and fatigue amidst some of Justices, over the clear travesty of justice.

The acknowledgment and justification of the illegality of extraordinary rendition by the Nigerian Supreme Court raises ethical and legal concerns. The Supreme Court in affirming this breach of international law literally, assented its culpability in the crime.

Its decision to return the case to the Federal High Court - after taking cognizance of the self-evidential nature of the case, rather than upholding the resolution of its subordinate Court of Appeal, creates a paradoxical scenario, leaving many to question the motives behind such unlegal move.

While some argue that the Justices may have been under pressured into delivering a compromised judgment against Nnamdi Kanu, others point to a strategic game being played by the Supreme Court justices in collaboration with the Federal government.

The fear of the legal, political and diplomatic implication of affirming the illegality of Kanu's extraordinary rendition - as the Apex court of the land, might have led the Justices to take an unconventional route, by passing the responsibility back to the High Court, to source for a better means of bending the law to do their nefarious bidding.

By reverting the case file to the Federal High Court, the Justices intends to "washed their hands" of a potential fallout from affirming the illegality of Kanu's extraordinary rendition. However, this clearly compromises the courage and independence of the Apex Court in judicial decision making, and has inadvertently compelled the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) movement to lose faith and confidence in the Nigerian Judiciary, and has promised to look for other means to resolve with the Federal government, the incarceration of her leader, and the Biafra question.

The controversial judgment against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by the Supreme Court of Nigeria on December 15th, 2023, remains a travesty of justice, which as reported is acknowledged by presiding Justices themselves. The acknowledgment of the illegality of extraordinary rendition, coupled with the decision to return the case to the Federal High Court, instead of making a law-based decision to uphold the judgement of the appeal court, leaves a lingering sense of unease.

As Nigeria as a state grapples with the implications of this controversial decision given the fact that the IPOB movement has ultimately resolved to pass a vote of no confidence on the Nigeria Judiciary as not being competent and reliable enough to give an informed and salient decision, the judiciary battles to restore its already lost integrity, independence, and commitment to upholding justice, even in the face of political pressure.

Written By Chima O. The judgment came to the world as a big surprise. All Nigerians and non-Nigerians have great doubts that the Nigeria Judiciary delivered justice on this matter even as Abuja High Court commences the trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on February 8, 2024. This is following the order by the Supreme Court's minority justice ruling.

The Supreme Court of Nigeria delivered a confusing written judgment against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on December 15, 2023.

That compromised judgment discouraged Nigerians who thought there were independent and courageous men at the Apex Court of Nigeria. It showed that ordinary men can't get justice in Nigeria.

During the Supreme Court judgment on December 15, 2023, the Justices affirmed that it was unlawful for the Nigerian government to have kidnapped and extraordinarily rendition Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria. But they still stopped the landmark decision and judgment of Nigeria Appeal Court Justices that delivered justice. They also affirmed that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu did not jump bail, which was the main reason that the Nigerian government broke international laws and treaty of extradition. By kidnapping and extraordinarily renditioning Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, they lost all their rights to try him. On what grounds did the lily-livered Justices return the case back to the High Court after Mazi Nnamdi Kanu won the case in Appeal Court? Why will the Justices set aside the judgment of the Appeal Court that discharged and acquitted Mazi Nnamdi Kanu but refused to deliver their own independent judgment on the matter?

As much as we believed that the Judges were pressured to read a compromised written judgement to be used against a peaceful freedom fighter and a prisoner of conscience, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, nevertheless they played a smart game. They understood the consequences affirming the illegality of extraordinary rendition by the Nigeria government. That's why they connively and unprofessionally sent the case back to the High Court so that the federal government will fulfill their agenda. Pontius Pilate Justices indeed

The public should take note that the Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed February 8, 2024, as a date to commence what would be a scripted or endless Court case. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will be represented at the court by his legal team. But we want to inform the Nigeria government and the international community that IPOB have lost confidence in the Nigeria Judiciary until they prove otherwise.

The Supreme Court Justices colluded with Tinubu's Government to send the case back to the same Judge who has been doing hanky panky with the case in the High Court for many years. It's sad that the Supreme Court Justices will succumb to pressure or inducement and deny justice to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who has been persecuted and detained illegally by the Nigeria State for seeking to exit Nigeria via a legal UN supervised Referendum for an independent Biafra Nation. By the actions of the Supreme Court, it's obvious that they are part of the oppressors and suppressors of the UN and the African Charter on People's Rights to Self Determination.

The international community, the Human Right Organization, and Civil Society groups should be aware that the Nigerian Government, Nigerian Security Forces and the Nigerian Supreme Court are persecuting Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for peacefully championing Biafra Self Determination

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been detained in a solitary confinement in Nigeria's lawless Secret Police, DSS, for almost 3 years. He has been denied access to visitors of his choice as permitted by the High Court in Nigeria. He is being subjected to all manner of ill treatments, including starvation, drug abuse, and isolation in DSS solitary confinement. His health has deteriorated, and he doesn't have access to quality medications and professional private physicians.

Should anything happen to our leader in detention, the Nigeria Government under Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigeria Secret Police (DSS) Director and personnel, and the Supreme Court Justices that upheld injustice should be held responsible.

COMRADE EMMA POWERFUL, MEDIA, AND PUBLICITY SECRETARY FOR IPOB.

Emeka Gifthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10134360289078060311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7046283784500530673.post-13728005737985699672024-01-28T13:00:00.000-08:002024-01-28T13:00:32.749-08:00Agitation For Biafran Sovereignty And The Dire Need To Jettison Emotional Outbursts And Face Realities
Agitation For Biafran Sovereignty And The Dire Need To Jettison Emotional Outbursts And Face Realities

Biafran restoration project is one of the most herculean tasks of the century, which naturally involves several challenges as; psychological preparedness, physical realities, international representation and more. These values and qualities are prerequisites to achieving the long term goals of this form. They are the objective needed from both the pioneers, leadership and supporters of the restoration movement.

As it stands, the Biafran Freedom Struggle has been erroneously affixed with too many unguarded emotional pronouncements, utterances and dispositions by alot of individuals and sympathizers. Many have started alluding that the Biafra Struggle is one where too many wishes and sentiments would prevail, not minding the current realities facing the struggle. As such, this article intends to highlight these anomalies following the series of expositions made by Mazi Chinasa Nworu on Radio Biafra Broadcast of 27th January 2024, as updated by Family Writers Press International(FWPI).

During the Radio Biafra live broadcast anchored by Mazi Jonathan Chinedu, Mazi Chinasa Nworu admonished Biafrans about the need to discard certain emotional outbursts and expectations they carry around towards the struggle, to boldly prepare their minds and face realities on ground as a way to prevent falling prey to local and international manipulations.

In his exact words, "We are realistic in everything we are doing as the Leadership of this great movement. And, we want our people to face the reality and stop being easily deceived". While acknowledging the preparedness of the leadership to face head on the challenges encircling the struggle, Mazi Chinasa enjoins Biafrans to follow the tides of events as it is in the world, especially in national and international politics.

In this regard, Nworu states that, "Interests in international politics or geopolitics cannot be achieved with emotions, sentiments or false sense of belonging in a place you actually do not belong. Majority of our people believe that if something happens today, Israel or America will come to help us because we carry their flags, but that is untrue. This is because their interest is parallel to ours. This is a rational and unemotional fact. America played a major role in the kidnap of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The moment Mazi Nnamdi Kanu left America, the US government barred Onyendu from re-entering America. This is a country that Lai Mohammed bragged that Nigeria government spent over 600 million dollars to bribe. Are you aware that US government also banned Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's wife from going to US to campaign for the release of her husband. They also revoked the travel documents of Kanu Junior, the son of Nnamdi Kanu".

He further stressed on the ignorant attachment of our people to Israel, saying; "For public awareness, may it be known that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was not accepted by the State of Israel after the attack on his home on September 14th 2017, where he was smuggled to safety. Kanu latter gained access into Israel legally, but Israel refused him asylum. They rather told him to kindly exit the country quickly through which ever means he entered. Infact, they yielded to the pressure of Nigeria government, but played smart by not arresting him like Nigeria requested from them. And subsequently, Israel deported the then Nnamdi Kanu's personal assistant and banned him from entering Israel for 10 years".

"Even in spite for the massacres going on in Biafraland, all the killing of people by Wike in Igweocha, yet the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria met Nwike few months ago for the preservation of Nigeria. The Israeli Government arrested the IPOB National coordinator in Israel after the rendition of Nnamdi Kanu and have never granted any Biafran asylum till date".

"I am not saying all these so you will hate Israel, rather to help you lower your expectations from a country that does not care if you live or die. Infact, Israel asked Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to leave Israel the way he came."

" Our first satellite was an Israeli company, and they sold the satellite to Dangote as soon as Nigeria government bribed them. I am not going to talk about the name of this country that many of you come online to insult, but they are the reason we are broadcasting today. Ask anybody in Israel; Israel has refused to grant any Biafran asylum. I am not telling you to attack Israel, I am just asking you to lower your expectations. As a policy, the Israeli government does not support us. This is quite different from citizens who may be sympathizers. For your information, the Israelis supplied Nigeria with mortar bombs during the Bịafran Genocide, these bombs were heavily used against us. They do not care about us. And for the sentiments that some Israelis helped us, a lot of people helped us during the war. The Irish, French, Portuguese, Yorubas, and even some Northerners fought on the Biafra ranks during the war. It does not mean their nation of origin are our friends".

Meanwhile, Mazi Chinasa Nworu concluded by asking the following question, "Since the restoration of Biafra is no more about Nigeria and Biafra; It is now on the stage of international politics and one has to be smart and strategic. For example, now that South Africa is having a legal battle with Israel, if you live in South Africa, do you think the South African government will be nice to you if you are waving Israeli flag in Johannesburg? ".

At this juncture, therefore, it is important to note that it is high time Biafrans offload all their unnecessary expectations that does not reflect the current events in the world. Age long sentiments and promises should be revisited and reviewed to meet the realities playing out in our time. Biafra Restoration project is akin to the realities on ground. And, inorder to reach that victorious end, Biafrans at large must jettison emotions and apply their proactive measures in accordance with the foregoing realities facing the struggle. Time for emotional dispositions and utterances are hereby gone. As the world continues to evolve, we must endeavour to follow suit, accordingly as it protects and preserves our collective interests as a people, both locally and internationally.

Oguwuike Kelechi Chukwuezi, reporting

For Family Writers Press International

Emeka Gifthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10134360289078060311noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7046283784500530673.post-27397620644910318522024-01-22T05:13:00.000-08:002024-01-22T05:13:11.426-08:00 The Illegally Withheld CTC Judgment of IPOB Leader's Case, And The Panic Of Associated Supreme Court Judges.
The Illegally Withheld CTC Judgment of IPOB Leader's Case, And The Panic Of Associated Supreme Court Judges.

As it concerns the determination of causes and matters in line with the Nigerian constitution, the law states that "Every court established under this Constitution shall deliver its decision in writing not later than ninety days after the conclusion of evidence and final addresses and furnish all parties to the cause or matter determined with duly authenticated copies of the decision within seven days of the delivery thereof." This is contained in Chapter 7. Part 4. Section 294 of the Nigerian constitution.

However, why things have turned out otherwise in the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB), remains a question in the mind and lips of so many people since the Supreme Court Judges' failed to comply with the above law, following their 15th December 2023 judgement on the IPOB Leader's Case. This is why it is timely for us to further educate the public on the lawlessness of the Nigerian system, and how they will eventually fall into the pits they dug for the lovers of freedom(Biafrans).

There are some apparent eventualities that are standing tall before the Judges of the Nigerian Supreme Court, which is why they have remained in constant panic and avoided to release the Certified True Copy(CTC) of the Judgement they read about Nnamdi Kanu's case on 15th December, 2023.

The Judges involved do understand very well that immediately the 'unlawfully withheld' CTC in the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is released, it will be a confirmation that Nigeria will not obey her treaty obligations; so, these justices, the presidency and the Nigerian entity will officially turn terrorists, according to the laws of Nigeria.

This is what Section 2 (3)(f) of the Terrorism (Prevention & Prohibition) Act, 2022 has to say.

Quoting it verbatim:

"In this Act "act of terrorism" means an act wilfully performed with the intention of furthering an ideology, whether political, religious, racial, or ethnic and which- violates the provisions of any international treaty or resolution to which Nigeria is a party, subject to the provisions of section 12 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999; and Cap C23, LFN 2004"

However, the delay of the judgement still carries equal consequences, as not releasing the judgement is also a clear violation of the Nigerian constitution and legal jurisprudence also stipulated above earlier.

The Nigerian Judiciary is in contempt of itself. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have long sworn that he will expose the evil Nigeria state, and the ineptitude of the judiciary before the world that they may bare witness. The judgement read on 15 December 2023 was not a unanimous decision as the world was led to believe. It has subsequently emerged, following the unlawful delay in the release of the CTC, that three justices are in disagreement with the tone and wording of the verdict so declared and have declined to append their signatures to the written judgement.

In effect, the judgement as read on the 15th of December 2023 is a minority judgement and therefore ilegal. A Supreme Court panel comprising of five justices can not allow the issues under contention to be determined by only two justices.

The courageous decision of these dissenting justices will go along way in repairing the collosal damage done to the image of the Judiciary, when it held that present and future Nigerian Governments can continue to violate the sanctity of the territorial integrity of an independent sovereign nation, kidnap, torture and extraordinarily rendition political activists, contrary to local Nigeria laws, international treaties, conventions and covenants which Nigeria is signatory to.

According to a knowledgeable and highly dependable source within the Federal Ministry of Justice, the three resenting justices, despite enormous pressures from Aso Rock and leadership of Supreme Court, said they would not wish or want their names associated with a flawed judgement that purports to announce to the whole world that Nigeria's Supreme Court is a supporter of executive lawlessness, inpunity and international banditry. Their concern for the sanctity of the rule of law and rules based international order precludes them from exposing themselves, and the Supreme Court of Nigeria to international ridicule and possible sanctions, because no court of law anywhere in the world as allowed its government to put on trial a kidnap victim extraordinarily renditioned from a foreign country since 1973, over half a century ago. For a Supreme Court to ask her government not to obey international law and treaties is a dangerous precedent which does not bod well for the advancement of natural justice and quality adjudication in Nigeria.

One of the justices went as far as to say that he does not wish to be tagged a terrorist because there is a law in Nigeria that criminalises disobedience to validly signed treaties. Section 2, subsections (3)(f) of the Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022 is quite clear that disobedience or refusal to obey any international treaty or resolution to which Nigeria is a party, is an act of terrorism. This law was written in simple readable and understandable English. Any justice or judge that seeks to encourage the Nigeria government to ignore her own laws and treaties, as the judgement read on the 15th of December 2023 purport to imply, is a terrorist. That is the position of a key provision of the law. This is the simple reason why we have the unlawful delay in the release of the CTC by powers that be at the Supreme Court.

All lovers of justice and freedom around the world should be reassured that the landmark decision of the Court of Appeal discharging our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU and barring all future trial is unassailable. Any countrary judgement to the above is sure to bring untold chaos, humiliation and international disgrace on the leadership of the Supreme Court as we are all now witnessing. We are waiting for their next move.

COMRADE EMMA POWERFUL MEDIA AND PUBLICITY SECRETARY FOR IPOB.
Emeka Gifthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10134360289078060311noreply@blogger.com0
