FAMILY WRITERS PRESS OFFERS TO BE PERMITTED BY ANAMBRA STATE GOVT TO CONDUCT INDEPENDENT INQUIRY ON OZUBULU MASSACRE
As Igbo youths in Anambra state have vehemently insisted that they are not going to allow Ozubulu Church terrorist attack to be swept under the carpet, whereas it has become obvious that Nigeria Police Anambra state Command under CP Garba Umar is shielding the truth of what exactly happened in Anambra state, people of good conscience all over the world are now demanding for an independent panel of inquiry to unravel what truly happened. The call for independent and neutral panel of inquiry over the senseless massacre is a welcome development .
On that ground, I hereby call on Anambra State under Gov Willie Obiano as the Chief Security Officer of the state to empower Family Writers Press to conduct the neutral inquiry within 30 days and come up with our findings. In other to ensure transparency in the inquiry, Family Writers Press will welcome in the inquiry team people who will serve as observers:
1. 2 persons from Amnesty Intl.
2. 2 persons from Intersociety.
3. 2 persons from Anambra State Min of Justice
4. 2 Clergymen from Nnewi Catholic Diocese
5. 2 Police officers from anywhere outside Zone 9.
6. 2 persons of unquestionable integrity from Ozubulu Town.
Family Writers Press will keep these people in observers status during the period of inquiry. After Anambra State government has given Family Writers go ahead empowerment, then Family Writers Press will create modus operandi of the inquiry, make demand of number of witnesses needed, types witnesses needed, begin to collect exhibits within and outside locus in quo and relevant evidences.
Family Writers Press terms of reference during the inquiry will include as follows:
1. To discover the actual perpetrator(s) of the terrorist attack in Ozubulu church.
2. To ascertain the remote, immediate and actual causes of the attack.
3. To discover whether somebody's or group of persons' inaction, dereliction, negligence to duty or delay in emergency response contributed to the success of the attack and escape of the perpetrators.
4. Whether anybody or group of persons within Anambra state participated, contributed or aided the attack.
5. Whether anybody not being indigenes of Anambra state participated, contributed or had hands in the attack.
6. To ascertain whether the attack was politically motivated, or has any link with any business feud within or outside Nigeria.
Family Writers Press will also suggest measures to be taken to avert the reoccurence of such in the future as part of the report that will be tendered after the inquiry. If the hands of the principal officers of Anambra State government is clean in ugly incidence, Family Writers Press eagle-eye investigative team are waiting for you people's invitation, inauguration and commissioning so that we will have access to anywhere we want to enter for the inquiry without any hindrance.
