ANAMBRA GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION: 98% BOYCOTT, 100% SIT AT HOME COMPLIANCE, MASSIVE RIGGING & BUYING OF VOTES IN POLLING UNITS

Maxwell Chuks Reporting For Family Writers' Press (after visiting different polling units)

As both national and international attention were fixed on the Anambra State gubernatorial election, Family Writers' Press correspondents fully prepared, were deployed in all polling units to monitor live and give situation reports on the activities therein  and at the same time obtain first hand information on the success rate of the clarion call for a total Election Boycott and the "Sit At Home" order by the Leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to Biafrans in Anambra State.

At 5am in the morning of 18th November 2017, commercial activities and vehicle movement were shut down by the people of Anambra State in compliance to the 'Sit At Home' order by IPOB leadership. Markets, shops and other business activities were shut down, both major And track roads were empty as no vehicles or people were seen around except Nigerian Security Agents who were seen moving alongy the road with their patrol vans. A walk down the villages and towns including reports from fellow correspondents on ground in Anambra state, indicated 100% compliance with the 'Sit At Home' order from the Leadership of IPOB.

Another centre of focus was the polling units where INEC officials, the Nigerian Security Agents and Party Agents who started arriving at 7am- 8am, were seen sitting idle and discussing like Street lovers at the polling units due the absence of electorates. At 10am-11am; after Party Agents in polling units cast their vote for the party they work for, no electorates were still seen in the polling units. The people i saw hovering around the polling units were Party Agents and Nigerian security Agents. Due to low turn up of the electorates, party agents were seen making calls, hawking for people to vote, enticing, luring people with money, food, etc and buying votes from people, even from those who unknowingly to them are reporters who were on ground to cover and monitor the election process. Despite the wooing, buying of votes and other illegalities in the polling units, the total outcome of Anambra election (as observed live from different polling units), recorded 2%, and the boycott of the election recorded 98%.

FACTS FROM THE ELECTION / 'SIT AT HOME':

1. Party Agents were seen sharing money in polling units, wooing people and buying votes
 2. Nigeria Security Agents and INEC officials helped party agents rig the election.
 3. Those who participated and voted in the election are mostly Party Agents.
 4. There was 100% compliance in the 'Sit At Home' order by IPOB leadership.
 5. The election was boycotted 98%.
