NIGERIA: FG Indicts Gen TY Danjuma’s Company Of Fraud

The federal government has indicted NAL-COMET, a company owned by General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (Rtd), of fraud, information reaching ElombahNews says.

The indictment came few days after Gen Danjuma accused the Nigerian Army of complicity in the Fulani herdsmen killings across the country and asked Nigerians to rise and defend themselves.

According to the source, federal government made the indictment using Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), a government agency headed by Mrs Hadiza Bala.

The source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that this is typical of Buhari and his village vendetta style.

NAL-COMET is a Nigerian shipping company founded in 1979 by General Danjuma.

It has eight companies and employs over 2,000 staff within Nigeria, ElombahNews gathered.

NAL-COMET Group offers comprehensive services within shipping, oil servicing, terminal operation, clearing and forwarding, underwater engineering, electrical and electronic supply and installation, transformer manufacture, fishing, food product importation and distribution.

Although the company is managed by a competent Board of Directors, Danjuma still plays an active role in the Group’s activities and is involved in high level decision making.

Recall that the retired general was quoted as saying:

“You must rise to protect your selves from these people. If you depend on the arm forces for protection, you will all die one by one.

“The ethnic cleansing must stop now, otherwise, Somalia will be a child’s play.

“I ask everyone of you to be on alert and defend your country; defend your territory, defend your state because you have no where else to go.

“The arm forces are not neutral, they are conniving with the armed bandits that are killing people,” he said.

The presidential spokesperson, Mallam Garba Shehu is yet to respond to call and SMS sent to his phone in response to the report.
