ASUU STRIKE AND VISIONLESS NIGERIAN STUDENTS

ASUU STRIKE AND VISIONLESS NIGERIAN STUDENTS

Alarmingly regrettable is the fact that quite a great number of Nigerian students are missionless and visionless. Having watched series of conducted interviews with those running for presidential office, there has not been any notice of any of these students, asking questions about the seeming endless industrial action embarked by the Academic Staff Union of Universities  (ASUU) and what hope that yet remains of their academic future.

Rather than frontally contending with the Nigerian government for its inaction over their plights with sustainable threat of election boycott, they are busy shamelessly campaigning for the same crop of individuals (politicians) whose insensitivity and selfish drives have kept them at home unabated.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide, succinctly stated that, "the more you study in Nigeria, the more stupid you become". This particular statement clearly buttresses this point.

What a hopeless, visionless and pitiably misinformed set of people! In civilized countries, students of higher institutions play leading and viable roles in bringing their governments to accountability but not so in black Africa especially in Nigeria. What exists in this part of the world is a bunch of moronic brand of students that have no focus in life. They hardly can differentiate their left from their right.

It is not surprising therefore, that politicians refer to them generally as "lazy youths". Your feelings regarding this outburst of mine is inconsequential, for all sane and well informed individuals are really disappointed in these Nigerian students who reel endlessly in indolence and aimlessness. Their antecedents are in sharp contrast with what obtains in students from other parts of the world. In fact, the state of their stupidity is mind-boggling.

If the above placement is hurting to you, then stand up, dust off and do what is expectedly right and valuable. Hold your government accountable. Take notice of the fact that your future is greatly at risk here.
