BRINGING THE HARVEST AND MERCHANDISE OF HUMAN ORGANS BY THE DSS TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS

BRINGING THE HARVEST AND MERCHANDISE OF HUMAN ORGANS BY THE DSS TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF HUMAN RIGHTS ORGANIZATIONS

The shocking revelation that the Nigerian Secret Police, Department of Security Services (DSS), is relentlessly kidnapping quite a number of innocent young Biafrans in Biafraland and taking them to the Abuja division of the notorious security agency where they are secretly killed and their internal organs harvested for merchandise is most inhuman, despicable and disgustingly provocative. This trade is consciously transacted with human organs dealers from India and it is ultimately important to bring it to the notice of both local and international human rights organizations for appropriate action. The ugly phenomenon involving a supposedly disciplined and professional security agency of a country, carried out against Biafrans by an agency of the Nigerian state, must not be dismissed with a wave of the hand. It is a menace orchestrated against humanity and human dignity. The DSS operatives have been ravaging the entire length and breath of Biafraland wherein innocent Biafrans have been randomly kidnapped and secretly killed with all their valuable internal organs harvested and sold to Indian nationales trafficking on these. The relevant human rights organizations such as Amnesty International and Intersociety, should carry out detailed investigations into this criminal enterprise. Hundreds of Biafran agitators have really gone missing over time with absolutely no knowledge of their whereabouts till date.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) globally, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in one of his very recent special Radio Biafra broadcasts monitored globally, revealed that most of the secretly kidnapped family members of IPOB in Biafraland by the officials of DSS, ended up being killed, their body organs harvested and sold out to Indian merchants. This indeed, is the height of evil from a supposed security agency in Nigeria. It is not surprising therefore, that there currently exits, large number of able bodied Biafran youths that have reportedly been missing from different communities, villages and towns across Biafraland, whose whereabouts could yet not be traced.

Investigations into this heartwrenching misnomer perpetrated by the officers of the Department of Security Services (DSS) as accused, is very disappointing. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu himself, equally tasted and endured the effects of the bitter waters of DSS criminality during his years in detention and he spoke right. A detachment of Family Writers Press crack team of investigators, were deployed to really ascertain the veracity of this atrocious enterprise by carrying out interviews on non-IPOB members who have equally been detained by the DSS, with the aim of getting unbiased information concerning the revelation.

In the cause of the investigation, families in various locations within Biafraland, reported to the Press crew that their relatives who were arrested, detained and eventually released in the past by the officials of this security agency, never had it easy at all. They were always told that such detainees were not brought to the DSS nor even kept in their cells. Asked further if their missing relatives were subsequently found, the same families responded "NO". Continuing in the investigation, Family Writers Press had on the spot interactions with many people across the land who had fallen victims to the DSS tyranny. They were asked whether they met others in detention facilities who were denied court trials or even been released. The respondents virtually stated in anonymity that there were really so many people they met in DSS underground cells that were later taken away to unknown locations from the cells. One of the interviewees who regained his freedom, tried visiting a supposed freed former inmate in his hometown only to discover from his family that it was actually the DSS officials that kidnapped their missing relative in the first place.

An encounter was had with a DSS former detainee who identified himself as Mr. Ransom Chinda, an Ihuruoha indigene in Igweocha (Rivers State). He revealed that he saw a young Igbo man known as Chinedu Okeke, from Anambra State. He met him in a DSS detention cell, who was later taken away one night, with other detainees thinking that he may have been released. On his release later however, Chinda stated that he  actually visited the hometown of his fellow inmate but to his greatest surprise, Chinedu Okeke's family told him that his whereabouts has remained a mystery. Mr. Ransom Chinda told them that he actually saw their son in detention cell but was later taken away weeks before his own family lawyer helped in securing his bail in court. When the family eventually got in touch with the DSS officials, they flatly denied knowledge of their son. Family Writers Press Investigative team in Rivers State, also collaborated the story of Mr. Ransom Chinda with the team in Anambra State.

Family Writers Press Investigative Journalists have numerous information regarding this state-sponsored menace in Biafraland. The alarming rate of disappearances of Igbo Biafran youths particularly, have been traced to the criminal activities of the officials of the Department of Security Services (DSS), who specialise in kidnapping, secret killing and harvesting of valuable human organs from the victims which they sell to their benefiting Indian dealers.

It is basically on this premise that Family Writers Press hereby call on Amnesty International, Intersociety and Nigerian Human Rights Commission, to conduct neutral and unbiased investigations on the activities of the DSS in the interest of the protection of human rights. Relevant Human Rights Organisations must have to compel the DSS operatives to desist from detaining anyone henceforth through their arrests or kidnapping. The Nigerian police force should be made to completely comply with the tenets of relevant international laws guiding human rights. Appropriate actions need be taken in that respect.  It has been proven by  Family Writers Press investigation that DSS officials have killed thousands of Igbo Biafran youths who were randomly and secretly arrested,  whom they erroneously thought were all registered family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). These human organisations should not be deceived into doing the contrary through the number of detained and freed IPOB registered family members who  were subjected to despicable inhuman and degrading treatments in various detention cells. There yet remains, quite a large number of Igbo Biafran youths who were randomly picked by the DSS officials especially at odd hours and locations, as they hunt for IPOB faithfuls. These are those whose particulars are yet to be ascertained by IPOB legal team. These victims often times end up not making it back eventually because DSS lacks legal and professional discipline to accept and entertain complaints about the missing, though through their unprofessional activities.

This security outfit should be made to stop arresting people  randomly on trumped up tip offs but should always call in the conventional police officers for whatever justifiable reason for any arrest.  In circumstances wherein a sting of operation is needed to be carried out during an arrest by the DSS, the person so involved ought to be immediately handed over to the police for arraignment and prosecution. By so doing, human rights will be seen to be protected in Nigeria and the DSS, totally denied access to this prevailing heinous wave of criminality occasionally visited on humanity.
