What Biafra Is And What Biafra Is Not

What Biafra Is And What Biafra Is Not

By Elochukwu Nicholas Ohagi
For Family Writers Press International.

Many of us have been supporting Biafra without meditating on what Biafra is and what it is not.
I have met some people who always think that the emergence of Biafra will make them rich or make them governors. I have seen lots of MASOB members already claiming governors of a particular region and provinces. I see some already taking control, humiliating and extorting people. I once heard a woman say, if this is how Biafra will be, let Biafra never come. I don't even want to believe that these boys are still loyal to Raph Uwazurike, because what they do is in contrast to the ideals of Biafra.

Biafra won't make anyone a governor because you were once a MASOB member or an IPOB member. In Biafra, you will be thoroughly investigated, your worth ascertained before you are given  authority to serve in any position. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu once said that IPOB as an organization will cease to exist after the restoration of Biafra. That's because he understand the mandate of IPOB, which is to restore God's kingdom on earth. The pride of Africa.

Biafra will be a country that will uphold the supremacy of the rule of law above every other thing. The road to Biafra is a movement to something new and organic. Biafra will put an end to illegalities. It won't be like Nigeria where everything goes like a banana republic. Where money can make the victim guilty and the guilty victim. Biafra won't make governors too powerful that they can intimidate and arrest journalists and charge them for terrorism. Biafra will give back prestige and honour to policemen. Biafra police will never stay on the road boldly collecting 50 Naira bribes from motorists, and laying false accusations on innocent people. In Biafra, politicians won't keep boys on every junction to be collecting money from poor people for them. In Biafra, the judiciary won't be in the pocket of the President or the prime minister. In Biafra, it will be a crime to fake drugs and pirate people's books.

Education will be elevated in Biafra. It won't be like Nigeria where anything goes. Teachers will be taken care of. Private school owners who collect millions and pay teachers peanuts will be checkmated. Government schools will be well managed.

In Biafra, there won't be any form of slavery. The state will make sure that company owners are paying their workers what ought to be. It will never be like in Nigeria where workers are slaves. Where those that suppose to defend the ordinary man go all out to feed on their sufferings, taking bribes from company owners in utmost wickedness and ineptitude.

In Biafra, protesters won't be declared terrorists, neither would real terrorists be rehabilitated and recruited into the national army. Quota system will be outlawed, abolished and meritocracy enthroned.

As Biafrans, you should be thinking of these things and know it that it will never be business as usual in Biafra. We know the damage Nigeria has done to our psych as a people. Exactly why we must consistently remind ourselves about these things.

Biafra Must Come!
God Bless Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
