We Are Giving Kanu An Opportunity To Defend Himself In Our System — Buhari

We Are Giving Kanu An Opportunity To Defend Himself In Our System — Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari made the above statement during an interactive interview with Channel Television on January 5, 2022.

The statement reads as follows: "...So we are giving Kanu an opportunity to defend himself in our system, not to be abusing us from Europe as if he is not a Nigerian. Let him come here and criticise us here."

If I were given the chance, I would have inquired as to which opportunity the Nigeria president was referring to because he(Buhari) is widely known as a president who disobeys court orders. Since the beginning of this his administration, the judiciary has been in a coma. Buhari's regime hardly ever follow court orders. Rather, they openly defies all court injunctions, and the president issue orders to the judiciary.

So, for Buhari to say that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should go to court to defend himself is very laughable because it sounds as if there has been anytime the president or the Department Of State Service(DSS) who is holding Kanu obeyed any court order. This same Kanu Buhari is referring to, and his lawyers have severally filed applications to, and appeared in the court regarding this case. But Buhari and his hunting dogs(DSS) have been found running from their own court.

This is why it is funny to hear Buhari say that Nnamdi Kanu has the opportunity to defend himself in court.

Was it not the same court that ordered Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's transfer from the DSS dungeon to prison, yet, for almost four months now, nothing has been done in respect? Is it now in this same court that Buhari wants Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to go and defend himself? Is this not the same court that ordered El Zazakay, the Shitte leader, to be released for more than 5 years, a ruling that has never seen the light of day?

The truth is that there can be no judiciary in Nigeria for as far as Buhari continues to dictate how the court should operate and who they should release.

In this All  Progressive Congress(APC)'s administration, led by Buhari, it is well known that for all who have taken the option of going to court to defend themselves, it has amounted to a complete waste of time and energy, because the government in power always disregards the court's decisions.

But, Buhari should know that we have taken enough time to master his tricks. And soonest, we the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) will force him and his tyrannical regime to bow to reasons.
