The Arrest Of IPOB Activists In Ebonyi By The Nigeria Police Is Illegal And A Breach Of Human Rights

For Family Writers

Information Reaching Family Writers desk now has it that the Nigerian police have continued with their harassment and molestation of Biafrans as they have arrested some members of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) in Ebonyi state Biafra land during their peaceful evangelism.

Ebonyi state coordinator together with Ebonyi media coordinator for IPOB was arrested by the Nigerian police this morning during their sensitization rally.

We are bringing it to the notice of the world human rights organizations that IPOB has been declared legal by the Nigerian Federal High Court, Abuja. Therefore, the arrest of peaceful IPOB members during their evangelism to create awareness for the upcoming 30th May SIT-AT-HOME in Biafra land is illegal and a breach to their fundamental human right as it's against the rights to peaceful assembly and peaceful rally. Everyone have the right to peaceful gathering or protest and Biafrans must not be denied of such inalienable right.

We urge all the international/national human rights bodies to take immediate action by securing the unconditional release of all the IPOB members that were arrested by the Nigerian security forces in Ebonyi state Biafra land today.

WE SAY NO TO CONTINUED MOLESTATION OF BIAFRANS BY THE NIGERIA SECURITY PERSONNELS!!
