THE NATIONWIDE OPERATION PYTHON DANCE EXERCISE OF THE NIGERIAN ARMY IS TARGETED AGAINST IPOB MEMBERS

THE NATIONWIDE OPERATION PYTHON DANCE EXERCISE OF THE NIGERIAN ARMY IS TARGETED AGAINST IPOB MEMBERS

The Nigerian army acting in consonance with the directive of the Nigerian government, has commenced yet another round of military expedition tagged "Operation Python Dance III". This exercise is despotically put together to further victimize and kill family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) specifically in Biafraland. The global community has yet again been deceived by the Nigerian authorities to believe that they mean well by floating such nefarious activities across the country to curb acts of insecurity.

Presently,  the Nigerian army with officers of the Department of Security Services (DSS), are on the prowl, abducting IPOB principal officers across Biafraland at dead nights. The most disturbing aspect of it all, is the adopted gestapo style by these lawless uniformed and armed hooligans in Nigerian army, shamelessly involved in this victimization drive. It is grossly unfortunate that a supposed highly professional army and a reputable security outfit like the Nigerian army and the DSS, will condescend so low to breaking into the homes of armless and law abiding citizens at odd hours of the night like armed robbers, not only to destroy personal properties worth fortunes, but to criminally kidnap them for unknown offences committed. Their victims are being manhandled and taken away to mysterious destinations for torture and possible summary execution, just for being Biafrans who are legitimately agitating for their political independence.

It therefore becomes necessary to bring this ugly trend to the notice of the international community, human rights organizations, media organisations  both locally and internationally. The Nigerian army whose officers and men of Biafra extraction particularly Igbos, are being persistently sacrificed on the altar of Boko Haram terrorists activities in the Northearthern part of Nigeria. Conversely, their Hausa-Fulani cum Yoruba counterparts are being carefully chosen and tranfered with armouries down to Biafraland, to be terrorising innocent Biafran citizens who are legally based in their ancestral lands. Human Rights Organizations in the country are hereby informed that the Nigerian army is currently kidnapping Biafrans at night and blatantly whisking away them to unknown locations for possible summary execution.

The world should of necessity note that it is the sole responsibility of the police which is legally constituted to arrest or issue warrants of arrests to defaulting citizens. And such arrests are not effected at odd hours of the night. It is only such crimes that are regarded heinously committed and arrests resisted, that such crimes suspects are publicly declared wanted. Such sting operations can be acceptably implemented for possible prosecution of defaulters. When sting operation is activated in hunting down a suspect, his or her arrest could be carried out even at midnight because of the attached notoriety.

The principal officers of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) whose homes are being incessantly invaded and are being kidnapped at odd hours of the night by the combined team of the Nigerian army and the officers of the Department of Security Services (DSS), have not been fingered by any law to have committed any crime, deserving their dehumanizing treatments. Virtually no IPOB family member nor principal officer has at anytime, been declared wanted in Nigeria for being an accomplice. The Nigerian army is inadvertently tagging itself before the civilized global community, a terrorist organization through their lawless and oppressive approaches in civil matters.

The world and all relevant Human Rights Organizations within and without the Nigerian federation, must as a matter of urgency, compel the Nigerian army to immediately release all Biafran detainees held in custody and desist forthwith, from abducting IPOB principal officers for committing no crime known to the law. It is totally illegal for the government of Nigeria to authorise it's military to embark on the invasion of the residence of law abiding citizens at odd hours of the night, destroying their properties and kidnapping them in a guerrilla war-like style. The principal officers of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have not committed any crime by legitimately agitating for the restoration of the sovereignty of Biafra from the defunct Nigeria federation. Human Rights Organizations within  the country must have to strongly condemn this wave of barbaric, despicable and lawless activities of the Nigerian military against law abiding citizens of Biafraland.

  1. If you’re not a criminal no need to worry about the military operations because if there is insecurity the same people complaining would also blame the government of not doing enough to protect lives and property,
