POEM : BIAFRA---THERE IS HOPE

(POEM) BIAFRA---THERE IS HOPE

By Paul Emerenini,
For Family Writers.

There is hope,
Indeed nothing  good
comes easy;
Now I agree,
that you must suffer
before pleasure.
This is the time of sorrow unto us,
but certainly,
the moment of joy is on the way
Because there is hope.

There is hope,
The night will soon be dawn
 as it is still dark now.
The tears is getting dried;
The sorrows are passing away,
The joy in us,
Because there is hope.

There is hope;
I heard a strange noise,
I looked through my Windows,
It is too noisy;
I opened my door,
It is the noise of cries,
Yet there is hope.

There is hope;
No one is ready to comfort others,
All families were affected-
Father at one corner,
Mother at the other corner,
Their children all outside-
All crying without consolation,
Yet there is hope.

There is hope;
It is mass killing,
Ordered by an unrepentant tyrant,
A certified illiterate,
A furry vampire-
Who sits on the throne of blood;
But the end is near,
Because there is hope.

There is hope;
The dead all whisked away,
 buried in mass graves,
at unknown destination;
The families,
 deprived of burying their dead ones-
Yet there is hope

There is hope;
Those who questioned the tyranny,
All sent to prison.
Those with bullet injuries,
 also taken along-
Yet there is hope

There is hope;
Elders become betrayals
Among their own people:
The voice of the voiceless-
All sealed with chains of iron and money,
Yet there is hope

There is hope;
The Judas,
 exchanged the people's freedom
for oil and Pipelines Contracts,
Yet there is hope

There is hope;
Suddenly everyone became silent,
Human right organizations all dead,
Britain turned dumb,
America gone blind,
Ban ki Moon now a stutter;
Yet there is hope

There is hope;
The Messiah arrived,
Established means of reaching
His people,
Who were scattered all over
The world;
He went different places,
 consoling his own people,
Because there is hope.

There is hope;
The tyranny crossed boundaries
The messiah in chains.
The downfall of the contraption began,
Nepotism and corruption
Exposed,
Because there is hope.

There is hope;
The economy sinking
Unredeemably
The currency becoming
Like a tissue papers
The oil price is falling,
Yet there is hope.

There is hope;
Confusions in the upper chambers,
Politicians swimming in corruption,
Judiciary also implicated-
"Who corrupted who?"
Yet there is hope.

There is hope;
The messiah smiling inside prison,
Britain looking confused
Deputy on the steering,
All because there is hope.

There is hope;
I see the rays of the sun,
Coming out gradually;
I see the standing tree
With a good greenish leaves
In a distant place
Apart from the desert,
Because there is hope.
There is hope;
From nowhere emerges,
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
They called the avengers,
Yet there is hope.

There is hope;
You shall identify them,
By the sound of their booms!
And by the special flame,
That accompanies the Boom:
Yet there is hope

There is hope;
The case has gone beyond tyranny
All the tyrant's efforts
 to use his secrete killers
 to frustrate the people,
The judges and the judiciary
Have failed woefully-
Because there is hope.

There is hope;
The case is now
 in the hands
 that is above the tyranny;
There is a heavy high blood pressure, and sudden fever
In the life of the tyrant-
Because there is hope

There is hope;
From the ECOWAS COURT
Shall emerge,
An upright, Unperturbed
And transparent  judge,
Who shall without fear or favour
Give verdicts to the messiah-
Because there is hope

There is hope;
The tsunami has consumed the vampires,
Their names are no more,
The new nation has come to stay,
There is a loud noice,
And glorious songs,
For the lost tribe has been restored,
The lost glory is back.
My hope never failed me-

There is hope;
The Mesiah has emerged triumphantly with glorious music.
There is Dances in the streets,
Leading his people-
With the Rising Sun flag he bears,
Because the hope has come.

  1. I know it seem hard sometimes but uhh
    Remember one thing
    Through every dark night, there's a bright day after that
    So no matter how hard it get, stick your chest out
    Keep your head up, and handle it.
