BIAFRANS, IPOB AND THE CALL FOR ELECTION BOYCOTT

BIAFRANS, IPOB AND THE CALL FOR ELECTION BOYCOTT

To stand by the TRUTH and for the TRUTH has never been an easy task. Misunderstanding, hate and acrimony from people awaits you as a bearer of the mark of Truth. Atimes you get frustrated and rejected as people embraces liars and sees you as the enemy or traitor.

Such has been the fate of those that chose to stand with the oppressed and marginalized in their struggle for freedom. I have for long been vocal in the quest for the freedom of the Biafran people and I must say, it has not been easy with so many moles of name calling and misunderstanding, with most of my friends wondering why I have chosen this path. There has been serious misunderstanding as regard to this journey for freedom by Biafrans from different works of life, while many have asked why they will join the struggle and I am forced to ask, must they join? Brothers, joining Biafra struggle should be a personal decision because Biafra is a spirit and when it cought you it will overwhelm you.

We all have different calling,  even as we all have a reason for being in this world. Without any shred of doubt, I was born and called not to side with the oppressive leaders against the oppressed masses. My calling has nothing to do with lying for politicians for crumbs, my calling has everything to do with standing up as an oppressed, standing with the poor and marginalized masses. What defines most of us in Biafra restoration quest is not materially motivated or induced but transcends material things because it is spiritual and has to do with our collective existence as a people. As the journey for Biafra restoration rages on irrespective of what people think of those of us in the struggle, no matter the name calling and media bulling and blackmail, we are determined to continue without prevarication and deterrent.

Many have alleged that Biafra agitators are serious jokers, miscreants and violent, while some said they are wasting their time in the pursuit of self determination.  It is ironical that these unguarded utterances are coming from those who suffer the same unjust treatment from the oppressive Nigerian government with others, yet decided to toe the path of self denial and playing the ostrich. It is disheartening, yes, but that is where we draw our strength, determination and courage to continue our quest for freedom. The more destructive criticism we Biafrans face on a daily bases, the more we are determined to fight to the finish because the cause for freedom can not be achieved on a platter of gold and silver but with resilience, resoluteness and doggedness we will overcome and achieve Biafra with a happy ending.

Many Biafrans have paid the ultimate price for Biafra restoration, others were also arrested while many have been secretly abducted and taken to unknown destination probably for summary execution or assassination. The Nigerian military on many occasions embarked on shooting spree, killing many Biafrans with little or no provocation. Even many that were secretly abducted from their homes were mutilated with raw acid so as to die a slowly but painful death. They have killed many Biafra activists in different parts of Biafraland like in Aba, Onitsha, Port- Harcourt and Asaba and evidences abound, so do not wait for a certain Elochukwu Nicholas Ohagi to tell you what to believe rather, google it and see an authentic report from forensic investigation by Amnesty International where IPOB youths were massacred mercilessly by the Nigerian military and buried in shallow graves hence, you will be horrified by what you will discover.

However, no figurehead leading a massive freedom fighting movement like IPOB has found it easy or smooth in the quest for freedom but the paths are always convoluted with thorns. They were labelled different type of names and were also metted with various inhuman and degrading treatments ever known to humanity. Even Martin Luther king did not find it easy during his freedom fighting era as he were called all sort of unprinted names, yet, he were never deterred because he knew he had a destination. Even among his own people, Martin suffered untold humiliation, blackmail and sabotage and upon his assassination, many applauded it and said it severed him right. But today, history is on his side because he chosed the path of freedom than slavery. Therefore, what defines one is the legacies left behind when one passed on. Same thing with what Nnamdi Kanu the leader of IPOB is facing today from all quarters and believe me history will also be on his side.

Meanwhile, the call by IPOB for boycott of election in Biafraland is not without it's gains and loses. Like when Mohandas Gandhi, the Indian independence leader, led Indians to the sea to protest against the British monopoly on salt as he called for the boycott of European salt by Indians, it came with immediate loss, as the poor Indian masses suffered alot but with perseverance, stood with Gandhi so as to end their slavery in the hands of the British once and for all. Therefore, no matter what it takes to get Biafra restored, Biafrans have decided to take their destinies into their hands to end their misery in Nigeria once and for all. So boycotting election in Biafraland will serve as a panacea to getting Biafra referendum and the boycott has more gains than loses.

Many uninformed and brainwashed Anambra state indegines, have in several occasions accused Biafra activists of trying to destabilise the state with the election boycott directives, in that it will cause upheavals that will eventually lead to anarchy in the state. How could a sane Biafran ask Biafrans to leave their state alone? But for avoidance of doubt, where these set of people see Anambra, those of us in the struggle see Igbo land and Biafraland in general. IPOB is a non-violent freedom fighting movement with her presence in almost all the countries of the world with a single aim of restoring Biafra. Therefore, election boycott is one of the best rudimentaries of civil disobedience which is prevalent in a democratic dispensation. What happened to the devolution of power in the floor of the Nigerian senate, has killed any further arguments by those who thought Biafra can be actualized by electing someone with Biafra ideology, that line of argument is dead on arrival as Nigeria and what it stands for is a failed entity.

Undoubtedly, Nigeria as structured can not survive balkanisation and nothing can redeem her from totally collapsing into abyss with her name obliterated from the world map and from her ashes will Biafra nation birthed.

  1. I support Anambra election boycott 1000%. It is our democratic right to do so. No amount of lies being peddled can stop the boycott. Nigeria is fraud held together by Sokoto Caliphate, Kaduna mafia and evil British government. We, the people must say no to bondage, oppression, and slavery. We must stick our ground no matter what. Anambra and entire Biafra election boycott must be 100%. Let the zoo military, Boko haram, Fulani herdsmen and evil global powers get ready to kill us (Biafra people) all. We cannot be forced to live in bondage. Nigeria needs to be divided. It can never work as one united country - NEVER. Let us stop deceiving ourselves and let the global powers understand that.
