JUSTICE BINTA NYAKO, THE NEW FACE OF JUDICIAL TERRORIST IN NIGERIAN JUDICIAL SYSTEM

For three years now, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu(currently kidnapped by Nigerian Military), Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu, David Nwawuisi, together with Bright Chimezie, have been in jail without bail since President Buhari returned to power as the democratically elected President of Nigeria. They are being held in prison for demanding for their people's right to self rule, as a result of the long-aged marginalization and suffering being meted and imposed on their people by Nigerian government since the British Lord Lugard, brought together "oil and water" (North and South) and called them Nigeria. Buhari is using his fellow Fulani judge, Justice Binta Nyako to illegally hold these innocent men in Nigerian prison.
This is not the first time President Muhammadu Buhari is using this same method on innocent Nigerians. A Yoruba popular Afro musician Fela Kuti, was illicitly incarcerated for a lengthy period of time by (then) Major-General Buhari, who first came to power through a military coup he led in December 1983.
Fela was tried by a judge called Justice Okoro-Idogwu and was sentenced to prison for a period of 5 years under Major General Muhammadu Buhari. Buhari's draconian law as at that time states that, "no Nigerian should be in possession of more than £500", but exemption was given to military personnel and those who have earned the foreign exchange legitimately. Everybody knows that Fela was innocent, but Buhari was defiant and hell-bent in sending Fela to prison so as to silence him because, the legend musician was a major critic of Major Buhari's dictatorial government and that he does through his music.
Fela was imprisoned on a trumped-up charge of illegally being in possession of foreign currency by the brutal tyrant called Major Buhari, in 1984. He was jailed for holding £3,000 he earned legally.
Just like Buhari in 1984 used Justice Okoro-Idogwu to perpetrate all sort of injustices and violet human rights of the Nigerian citizens, he is also maliciously using Justice Binta Nyako to hold innocent Biafran young men in prison in his second return into Nigerian government albeit in a democratic dispensation, in 2018.
It is quite disheartening that in this age and time, a mother like Mrs Binta Nyako will because of money, threw integrity and conscience to the dust, just to keep innocent young men in jail, all in the name of serving a tyrant and doing his biddings for favouritism.
Binta Nyako in her eternal service to the tyrant Buhari, who was brought back into power by ignorant Nigerian citizens, has devised means of elongating the trial of those Biafran activists in Kuje prison. It has been adjournment upon adjournment of the case between these young activists and Nigerian government for three years now and still counting. The Nigerian judiciary has completely shown how decayed and devastating it could be by allowing Justice Binta Nyako to drag to the mud the hallowed, noble and one of the most important arms of government with her disgraceful conduct which she has been exhibiting since she took over the case, in that all her conducts are against the ethics of law profession and judiciary. Her actions since she took over this case is tantamount to what I call "Judicial terrorism", in that she is using fraudulent court rulings to torment and terrorize the victims(defendants).
Is it not funny that a President who has been releasing in droves from prison, well known Boko Haram members that are slaughtering innocent Nigerians, of which more than 20,000 people have been killed as recorded and they are still killing. But today, Buhari is offering them Amnesty and even recruiting them into Nigerian military thereby aiding and abating their heinous and barbaric crimes against humanity, and at the same time holding IPOB/ Biafran activists in prison for 3years for committing offense not known to (by) any Nigerian or international law. This is same President Buhari who becomes paralyzed and dumb when his brothers, Fulani herdsmen slaughter Nigerians with impunity.
This type of human right abuse on innocent Biafra activists should not be allowed to fester. The international communities should look into this issue and see more reasons Biafra should be restored and become a sovereign nation. We also call on Amnesty international and all other right groups to join hands in asking the Nigerian government to release these Biafrans held illegally for three years now without bail.
