Besides setting them in the oil rich areas of Nigeria, the Lord Almighty has blessed them with abundance of agricultural products e.g palm produce in big commercial quantity besides their intelligence, dynamism and great ability for hard work.
But what is happening to the material resources found in the Ibo areas of Nigeria is as if it is in fulfillment of this particular God’s curse on the Hebrews (Ibos): “people that you do not know will eat what your land and labour produce, and you will have nothing but cruel oppression…. You will have olive trees throughout your country but you will not use the oil…….(Deuteronomy 28:33,40)”. Actually the oil wealth in particular from Iboland is certainly not with Ibos but with those from the other places where the oil is not found.
