AN OPEN LETTER TO INDIAN GOVERNMENT

AN OPEN LETTER TO INDIAN GOVERNMENT

Records are not kept simply to assist the weakness of memory, but to operate as guides to the future. President Muhammad Buhari of Nigeria dictatorial style of leadership is a natural path he has always followed whenever he is in power. He committed treason by overthrowing a democratic elected government through a bloody coup on December 31 1983 and installed himself military head of state. Buhari and his cronies in the State Secret Service and Judicial system created Decree 4 against freedom of speech and press. He made it clear to journalist and media houses that it does not matter if their story was true or not, if his regime does not like it they will be put to jail. He locked up Nduka Irabor and Tunde Thompson of "The Guardian newspaper". And made sure Vera Ifude of Nigeria Television Authority was sacked because she had reliable information on the location of the stolen "oil money" in a Midland Bank London branch.

Buhari jailed without trials Fela Anikulapo Kuti who was vocal against the $2.8billion "oil money" he stole. Tai Solarin was incarcerated and denied medication for his asthmatic condition. Prof. Ambrose Ali, one time governor of Bendel State who had retired from politics was slammed with trump up charges and imprisoned. He died shortly after his release. Muhammad Buhari has rigged himself into a democratic system to continue his tyranny unabated. The directive for massacre of Biafrans just like the 1967-1970 Biafra Genocide with Buhari as a major actor has begun in full swing with the clamp down and killing of Biafrans since he became civilian president. He ordered the kidnap of the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and Director of Radio Biafra and Biafra TV, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu,(#NNAMDIKANU) an action that has caused uproar in all parts of the world even in India. Nnamdi Kanu has been locked up without trials for 12days and counting even though he has met the stringent bail condition of 10 million naira and a level 16 civil servants with a landed property in Abuja metropolis as surety.

The DSS led by Musa Daura, a close associate of Buhari has refused to release Nnamdi Kanu from their custody or bring him before the judge for release. Buhari's tyranny has stretched forth to the civil society and human right groups. Human Right Writers Association of Nigeria [HURIWA] in a recent statement signed jointly by its National Coordinator Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko and the National Media affairs Director Miss Zainab Yusuf raised alarm that the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Burutai is scheming to arrest and detain the leadership of the organization for its recent decision to invite the International Criminal Court in the Hague, Netherlands to investigate the July 31st 2015 attacks and alleged killing by soldiers and police at innocent Biafran traders at Ariaria International Market,Aba in Biafra land. Amnesty International recently lambasted Buhari's government for not acting on its independent investigation report indicting the Nigeria Army for human right violation. I appeal and urge the Indian government and people not to allow the sell of arms to Muhammad Buhari. You will be arming a tyrant and the leader of BokoHaram which has pledged alliance to ISIS. A leopard cannot change its skin.

  4. The unlawful detention of the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra by Buhari without trial or bail in a democracy is a shame on United Nations and their so called messages on human rights.
