BUHARI AND HIS FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION

Muhammad Buhari
During the last presidential electioneering and subsequent declaration of Muhammad Buhari as the President of Nigeria, the echo from him and his party APC were on the rotten state of the country due to corruption. In every of his travels abroad since he became President,he has spoken loudly on his desire to probe those involved in corruption in past administrations and also seek for assistance from his foreign counterparts. These were clamors to deceive his gullible followers and unenlightened people listening to him. Let Buhari show his seriousness of fighting against corruption by clearing his name from the Petroleum Trust Fund stolen cash of about N25 billion wherein he was indicted. It is pathetic that a man who claimed he was too poor to purchase the presidential nomination form of his party and couldn't pay his daughter's school fees in a london college has suddenly become wealthy even with the inconsistent public declaration of assets by his spokesperson Shehu Garba. The President's wife Aisha Buhari is indicted in the Harlibuton Scandal which also involves his close associate former vice president Atiku Abubakar.

Muhammad Buhari and his party APC has been chanting about the disaster the opposition party PDP left the country during their sixteen years rule.  It is laughable that the President's closest ally is former President Olusegun Obasanjo the chief architect of PDP's corrupt practices in Nigeria. After wasting four months and counting as a sole administrator in the guise of searching for technocrats and saints for ministerial positions. Buhari sent a list containing men implicated in corrupt practices. Rotimi Amaechi who was the chief sponsor of his presidential campaign has blatantly refused to respond to the probe panel constituted by his state government. The former governor of Rivers state preferred to give fallacious reasons on why he stashed billions of dollars in the Bancorp Bank of America accounts.

Another man in the list is former Governor Raji Fashola who is yet to explain why he built a personal website with a huge sum of N78 million naira and constructed two bore holes with N138 million naira as revealed by his successor Governor Akinwunmi Ambode. APC, the political party of Buhari is swarming with corrupt men and questionable characters like Bola Tinubu, Abubakar Atiku, Nasir El-rufai, Rochas Okorocha, Adams Oshiomole,Murtala Nyako and a host of other evil socialists, It is disheartening that Timipre Sylva who had his corruption case forcefully withdrawn from court on the emergence of Buhari as president is now the APC flag bearer in the forthcoming governorship election in Bayelsa state. Also Abubakar Andu has promised to return the N11 billion he stole in his first stint as governor if elected back into power in the forthcoming governorship election of Kogi State as APC candidate. President Muhammad Buhari and his political associates are corruption personified and should stop their charade of fighting against corruption because it is laughable.
