On Wednesday 14TH of October 2015, the leader of indigenous people of Biafra was secretly arrested in his hotel room at Golden tulip essential airport hotel located at 42/44 murtala Muhammad airport road, Lagos. The principal officers and directorates of states of indigenous people of Biafra had made it clear that the leader was kidnapped by Nigerian DSS in Lagos and reaffirmed that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu remains the leader of Biafra and called for his immediate arrest
However, when Biafratimes correspondents under family writers inquired from IPOB directorate of states, they confirmed and said the leader of IPOB is being held hostage and that they have not seen him " Why on earth should Nigeria press abet on tyranny and fraud, we were disappointed that they floated the news of his bail while he is languishing in DSS dungeon" Mazi Austin Ofomah lamented. Recall that vanguard and other host of media houses floated the news that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been granted bail by the DSS as at Monday evening. “Nnamdi kanu was never granted bail, the Nigerian government floated this fraudulent news of his bail to calm the angry people of Biafra and deceive the world into killing him" a prominent member said to our correspondent on condition of anonymity
Meanwhile there have been raging protest across Biafra land with women championing the protest " we are trying to calm our husbands down by coming out here to condemn the incarceration of our leader, our husbands are Biafrans and the world knows what they are capable of, that is why we decided to peacefully demand the immediate release of Nnamdi kanu" one of the women carrying placard inscribed "Nnamdi kanu or death" said. The arrest has been the trending news all over the world as every media houses condemned the arrest as abuse of freedom of speech.
