BEFORE YOUR PLEA OVER IPOB PEACEFUL PROTEST

BEFORE YOUR PLEA OVER IPOB PEACEFUL PROTEST
By Ifeanyi Chijioke
(For Family Writers)

We are Biafrans and cannot be fooled neither will crocodile tears nor sympathy derail our resolve to sustain our agitation for the release of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. I have read in some quarters where northern people said we are brothers and should live in peace. My question is, where is the brotherhood when our leader is detained extra-judicially by your father Buhari and instead of demanding for his release you are asking us to stop demanding for his release, are you not aware the release of Nnamdi Kanu would end this protest? Even though Biafra is restored, does it stop Nigeria and Biafra from being brothers? Some persons and other governmental organizations had pleaded for an end to this protest. Who is happy over the protest? We left our shops under lock, we risked our lives, we are being massacred and you think is a child's play where you will plead and it ends? Biafrans are serious and at worst Biafra has turned an ideology that can never stop, all that it's needed is dialogue and one to dialogue is still in detention, demand for his release and his release will end the protest, this is a simple arithmetic. It's still unbelievable that people are fighting against dictatorship, illegality and injustice while some people wag filthy tongues in condemnation. Are the hearts of black Nigerians called monkeys and baboons a component of evil?  Why must war against injustice, illegality and dictatorship not receive full backing? Why must IPOB peaceful protest not receive full backing? Why must peaceful protesters be massacred? Recall that UN charter made Biafran's agitation legitimate, federal government of Nigeria affirmed legitimacy of Nnamdi Kanu's IPOB.

Then why the arrest and incarnation of Nnamdi Kanu? A competent court of law issued four different orders demanding the release of Nnamdi Kanu but Nigerian government trampled on them thus marking an end to rule of law and judicial power. He has been held in detention without trial as Nigerian government is trying everything possible to hold him extra-judicially because they have no case against him. Nigerian government has apparently failed to produce him before a competent court as one pretext or the other keeps hampering his trial. This protest is a call for proper trial, this protest is call for judicial support, this protest is against injustice, this protest is for the sustenance of rule of law, this protest is for civilization, this a protest for total freedom and against dictatorship so why must a right thinking human being ask for it to be stopped without compromise or conformity of the actor? Join hand and say no against evil wherever it’s seen because it would fester, Biafra will come which no man can oppose unless death comes on us all. If Nigerian government is not rebuked now when Biafra might have gone, how will Nigerians handle this scenario, we Biafrans care about the well being of Nigeria our neighboring country because we are all one as Africans. Come out en-mass and support IPOB peaceful protest that Nigerian leaders' might be taught what leadership is all about. This protest has gone beyond IPOB as everybody, all men and women of goodwill and conscience are supposed to join and peacefully say no to evil.
