My life is in danger: they may become even more vicious and deadly---Pius Anyim

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Anyim Pius Anyim, has raised the alarm over a perceived threat to his life and property. He has asked President Muhammadu Buhari for extra security.

Pius Anyim

In a petition over a publication by Sahara Reporters, in which the online medium on December 2, stated that Anyim was under investigation over allegations that he is funding pro-Biafra protests, the former SGF linked it to a sustained media attack on his person.

In the petition Anyim said he was compelled to seek protection from government because of “the desperation that has sustained the evil elements in the last five months could drive them to become even more vicious and deadly.

“I have taken time in the last five months to uncover the masterminds of this dangerous plan and my findings reveal a bunch of touts and hirelings with a track record of dangerous capacity to commit any harm. They operate as a network and recruit other elements, when necessary, to act as their undercover agents.

“They occasionally appear frontal and, at other times, act as if they are faceless. They are well organised and employ multiple strategies to sustain their plans, including blackmail and spurious allegations.

“It may interest Mr. President to note that following my resolve to maintain my decency and absolute faith in God, I have watched their orchestrations unfold in the last five months. I may not need at this point to name the suspected masterminds but I believe that a clear presentation of their mode of operation would provide a useful lead to the investigating authorities.”

He, therefore, urged the government to uncover all the actors in the plan and bring them to book.

  1. Like Kanu always said, Nigeria is a virus. If you are a Biafran, you can't serve her without being hounded and disgraced. Anyim is another example why Biafrans should see the light and liberate themselves from the clutches of the murderous and monstrous Nigeria.

  13. Dear Mr Ayim, for me, you are the main sponsor of Biafra. Your so called Uncle Mazi Mattiaus Okafor to whom Nigeria Government sent to Vietnam as an Ambassador is a real example of dis unity in Nigeria today. he distabilize the unity among Nigerians in Vietnam just because his term finish when our current President won the Election. He has been preaching Igbo leadership for all Nigerians in Vietnam and also come out fully to impose a Igbo leader on Nigerians in Vietnam. This are part of your plans to make sure Nigeria is divided. Come out fully and tell us why you and your group want to put an end to the Unity of a great country Nigeria.

  14. I dont pity any Igbo man who was supposed to do something when he or she was in government. If they had Biafra in mind while they were in office in the zoo, they would have use the opportunity to declare Biafra or alternatively himself would have adviced Jonathan to declare Biafra before leaving the office.
I pray they use this time to learn their lessons and return to Biafra as a prodigal son did by either openly or secretly support Biafra.

  15. The best thing Anyim would do for himself is to openly support BIAFRA, this will enable us (BIARANS) be for him, if he denies us now, we will deny him in time to come. BIAFRA has come and is alive. This is a great opportunity for Everyone who has been or is occupying any office in Nigeria to either secretly or best openly join and support BIAFRA to every extent.
No peace to Nigeria until the world recognizes Biafra as an Independent state.
I remain humble to all lovers of Biafra: Ejike Okorie

  18. The struggle must take a renewed drive. Let's look not on the present pains and persecutions but upon the craven freedom which imminent. O Biafra! How dear you are to me. Thy rivers overflowing in splendour. Thy lands which I will embrace at last in freedom when these shackles cast by inhumane Nigerian anti-Igbo propagandists. In unity and unwavering nationhood ever shall remain - free from the abomination from the Middle-East and the Arabian deserts.
