Open letter to Biafrans- We Shall Overcome!

Open letter to Biafrans- We Shall Overcome!
By Okonkwo Isaac Somto
(For Family Writers)

All Hail Biafra, All Hail Biafrans! My Brothers, Sisters, Fathers and Mothers the situation is getting tougher and tougher as the day goes by but we must not relent. We must remain strong and positive, please let’s not be discouraged, I know it hasn’t been easy but please let’s all remember how and why we started all this, let’s not forget why we are doing what we are doing. Let’s not forget that the enemy is close by and watching to see if we will give up.

That’s what they want, the DSS have refused to release Nnamdi Kanu, even after he was cleared of all charges. They are testing our patience and endurance to see if we will turn our backs and go home. But they must not mistake our silent for weakness. The fact that we have refused to be violent and destructive doesn’t mean we are not capable of such abilities, we just chose to remain peaceful and calm. They still killed about 20 IPOB members, injured about 70 and kidnapped about 15  in Onitsha after the news broke that Nnamdi Kanu has be cleared by the court but we didn’t retaliate, So they felt we are weak. The British-Nigeria Government and the UN should be taking notes now, because we have tolerated a lot from Buhari and his agents. When we start to counterattack and strike-back, Nigeria will survive our wrath, this is not a threat but a warning in advance.

My beloved Biafrans, Nigeria Government is just trying to make us give up on Biafra and go back to the way things were. But we can’t go back, because there is nothing to go back to and we don’t have a present in Nigeria talk more of a future. Over 50 of us have been killed and slaughter just during this protest alone, so you can imagine if we then choose to remain in Nigeria, probably in 10years time, we might have been exterminated.  Yes, they can do that, have you forgotten that they tried to that during the civil war? This people hate and despise us, so what’s stopping them from doing that again? That is why we need to remain strong and stay united because this is our one time opportunity to have Biafra, so please don’t give up because we have given a lot already. I know it hasn’t been easy but that is how it was meant to be, to enjoy freedom and equality, we need to make sacrifices and we have started doing that already, that is why we must see it to the end.

Let's not forget that we have only just started, the journey has just fully began and the road will be rough and tough, but we must remain strong and courage not just for Biafra but for Nnamdi Kanu, his family and the families of those who have dead for Biafra. We are more than formidable and that is why the British-Nigeria Government fears us. Biafra is closer to us than ever and we will finally get our beloved Biafra. We all have sacrificed one thing or the other in this fight for freedom and I know that we shall overcome. We are not just fearless, courageous and bold, but we are law abiding people and with our peaceful demonstration, we have proved and displayed to the world how well we handle situations even in difficult times. With patience, perseverance and togetherness, we will have our freedom.

A lot of people said different things about us, some called us names and some said we are just freedom fighters on social media and aimless towards our talk about having Biafra, but where are the people who said we can’t come out openly and protest?  They are now shocked and speechless because they couldn't believe we will make such an impact. They will keep saying can’t do this, we can’t do that, please let them keep talking because when Biafra comes, the same people who said we can’t, will say YES THEY CAN! The Nigerian Government have tried to bribe Nnamdi Kanu to abandon Biafra but he remained strong and said no because he know Biafra is greater than material things.

So therefore, we must stand by him and together we shall overcome these tribulations. Our continuity and unity has kept us this far, so we must not relent and let's continue to stand together because the Nigeria Government will continue to try everything in their power to divide and break us. They fear our unity, because they know our unity will give us Biafra. So please Biafrans, let us continue to stand united, positive, courageous and strong, that's when we shall overcome.

  5. Going through this post my eyes were filled with tears of sorrow and of joy... Sorrow on how our past heroes and heroines were slaughtered, eaten by animals, buried upon the surface of the earth, disappeared into the thin air as smoke from the chimney and forgotten by the youths as sucklings.... And joy because i see a land where there would be peace and freedom.. The sons and daughters of zion would be free to serve the living God.... Remember brethren when in fold we can never be broken but can be destroyed separately... And nothing Good comes easy....
    Peace.....

  8. There is no other way but forward. A step backward will mean more steps forward in the future or none at all because the journey will then be too long.

Thank you all leaders of Biafra ,we are progressing ,but I suggest we declear fast and prayer for 3 days all over Biafra land ,and every Biafra must participate or if you don't stay in your house indoor till the end of 3 day's .That is another protest with God ,believe me it will work, and I prophesied after the 3days ,a more horrible thing bigger than what happen in Zaria will happen to the zoo called Nigeria .Believe me the days of Moses is about to come to Biafra land this time .is not by our power or might but by the spirit of almighty God .
