TO OUR NEIGHBOURING COUNTRY, NIGERIA

TO OUR NEIGHBOURING COUNTRY, NIGERIA

By Chijioke Ifeanyi
For Family Writers

In this context, I shall address Nnamdi Kanu by MR BIAFRA, and my reason for this is very simple. He internationalized Biafra and made the whole world come alive on Biafra issue. It’s amazing that British parliament has moved motion 808 where recognition of Biafra independence is to be debated. Furthermore, he has drawn Biafra to the fore-front of emerging nation. In his words “Biafra has come to stay” to us Biafrans, Nigeria is now a neighboring country.

We neighbors must not kill ourselves, neighborhood helps people achieve their aim and is also important to value neighbors. Biafra is now a neighboring nation to Nigeria because not in this life shall Biafra be in Nigeria henceforth. If death shall swallow us all, let it be so that we may live Biafra in spirit world. Meanwhile, I love the diplomacy shown by Nigerian senates not to raise issue of Biafra on their floor, issue of Biafra and Nigeria is external matter and not a Nigerian matter. UK parliament that the issue affected will soon deliberate and pass a bill. More reason the Nigerian senate cannot address the Biafra issue is because, the indigenous people agitating are not Nigerians and the mass murder going on is not on Nigerians but Biafrans. It is understandable that it does not concern them what is going on in Biafra just as what is going on in Cameroon does not concern them.

I never loved that boring green and white flag, often confusing when my little brother says it is green, white and green. Dwelling on one thing or lacking creativity, Akinkumi must have designed the flag after oil money had left him hurrying for a night club even Donald Trump said it all. The flag had lost its significance since oil was found in Biafra land, the vegetation withered while peace was lost to the desire to milk Biafra land without replenishing it.

Oil took away the significance of the “green colour” and instilled laziness in Nigeria, hardworking country became parasitic to Biafra and the nature of parasite engulfed her. Parasite will only eat, destroy and go as that became applicable to Nigeria, you ate and destroyed Biafra, having destroyed Biafra, it is time to go. The “white colour” also lost its significance because as a parasite, you destroy the body and the white blood cell fights back which will result to conflict or war. MR BIAFRA being the white blood cell, we dare that you won’t kill or hurt MR BIAFRA because you will expose us to danger and we shall fight to keep him working with the last drop of our blood.
Parasites became thieves, stealing from one end to another, sharing the proceeds of oil like it is a laboured achieve. Nigeria became an enterprise, managed by politicians, buying and selling future of Nigerians became a hot business. Lives lost value as ambition consumed human right and the lives of the poor forced to be sacrificed on the altar of power. Election became do or die as they all know leaders are the official thieves and it is survival of the fittest where the winner loots all.

Biafran Flag
Unlike Nigerian flag, Biafran flag is a product of deep thought, our heroes remembered, our ordeal noted and our resourceful land connoted. Unlike horses, tigers are there, ready to live like tigers, not needing interference and being jealous of her offspring. The rising sun, more or less a crescent or half of a rising sun, The world can see the light shinning as it rises, giving hope of a better day and bringing light where there is darkness. Have you imagined the beauty of a rising sun, how amazing and irresistible its rays intruding from the openings of your doors and windows? Just as that feeling it gives of a fair day, Biafra shall be fairer than day.

There is need for a new beginning, the rising sun must shine on our path, the rising sun of Biafra will also show Nigeria our neighbour the way and entire Africa will see the light they yearn for all these years they have been in darkness. Africa is our mother land, we need to live as united Africa instead of die as one Nigeria. We must work together as neighbours for our collective gain.
I am of the opinion we should not destroy our relationship by engaging in unwise war, killing of Biafrans and threatening of life and freedom of MR BIAFRA. Release MR BIAFRA to us and let us talk because come death or life Biafra is now a neighbouring country to Nigeria. And nothing shall re-annex us again, not even another genocide nor conspiracy. The sentiments have run deep down our bone marrow, we have been convinced by virtue of treatment and history that we are not Nigerians and can never be.
