A TERROR GROUP IN THE MASK OF HERDSMEN

A TERROR GROUP IN THE MASK OF HERDSMEN

The recent Enugu attack by the terror group in the name of Fulani herdsmen is a clear picture of the alleged Islamization agenda playing out at its peak. Over 200 persons have been confirmed dead and 300 injured in an attack mated out by this terror group against the indigenes of the said community in Enugu. Such attack had been recorded severally across Nigeria but mainly against Christian dominated areas.

Recently, there was a record of such attack in Agatu community of Benue state which over 300 people were reportedly killed and many injured. This recent attack stirred up pandemonium and the issue was yet resolved before its repetition, this time around, in Enugu state which happened to be a neighboring state to the recently attacked Benue state.

Before now, the leader of IPOB, Prince Nnamdi Kanu in most of his broadcast on the Radio, raised an alarm that these Fulani cattle men parades arms fearlessly and the security forces had never said or did anything about it then, even as they were gradually showing off their majour occupation across the country. Their have been records of kidnaps and malicious murder of innocent citizens before they now started playing out their scripts fully.

Justifying the Islamisation allegation, why have the Nigerian security forces looked the other way even when they saw, and heard messages passed across the country that this men parades sophisticated firearms? Why did they allow the situation freely, up until now that it has started taking lives of hundreds and keeping the lives of many other indigenes of unknown communities on a butchers desk? How many significant arrests have been recorded since the perpetrations of these evil attacks on innocent civilians? What measure have the government taken to curbing the situation if not the rumored grazing bill that will worsen the matter?

Recently, there was an alleged murder of five Fulani herdsmen in Aba according to Nigerian DSS. After numerous investigations, it was proven that nothing as such ever happened but theirs was an alarm and it was everywhere on the daily papers. But now, there is a proven mass murdered of the indigenes of a community in Enugu state and no such pressure was pushed into finding and arresting the hoodlums. They are human and still survive within the borders of Nigeria and as a matter of fact, within the next 2-3 hours after the attack, they were definitely very close to the attacked community, finding them wouldn’t have been a big deal. If such pressure as in the case of the five herdsmen was pushed into arresting the situation and capturing the hoodlums. It would have been a successful one.

Looks like the Nigerian security institution is taking sides now than working appropriately as supposed in favour of the entirety of the Nigerian citizens. Such is a daring ill wind that will blow no one any good as it will disastrously serve as a catalyst to a disintegrated Nigerian state. The Igbo-Hausa relationship is nothing to write home about even before now. This kind of a racial violence eruption may have stirred up a more disastrous relationship between the two parties.

In my own opinion, this continued forceful relationship between two hard rivals is a practical evil as the blood of the innocent will not continue to be split because Nigeria must remain one. I just hope the International community is taking records of all the happenings in Nigeria.
