FOREIGN OBSERVERS FRUSTRATED: BEMOAN BUHARI'S PERSECUTION OF KANU

FOREIGN OBSERVERS FRUSTRATED: BEMOAN BUHARI'S PERSECUTION OF KANU

"where is the prosecution? What sort of persecution is this that a man can stay in prison for more than six months without trial and when court should sit, they still embarrass us even-though that is their method for the continued- illegal detention of your leader" a foreign Observer who worrisomely left the court premises murmured as she was approached by our correspondents.  They had waited patiently for the hearing of the petition lodged against the federal government but experienced unusual irregularity. They expressed disappointment and was so embarrassed while walking out of the court room on ground that Kanu's case file was not brought to the court by Buhari's-  DSS. Walking out like dismissed school children, they wondered how case file of such high profile case could not be brought to the court or lost. Earlier on the case took a new twist when they all settled and exchanged pleasantries, hoping to get the first hand information of what is going on but once more, Buhari proved the dictator he is by withholding a case file to enable him continue detaining Nnamdi Kanu and as well frustrate foreign observers .

" If truly there is a case and buttressing evidence against Kanu, why are they shying away?  Why not come to the court and prove it" a Ghananian observer told our correspondents on condition of anonymity. The term that Nnamdi Kanu is being persecuted and not prosecuted was once made manifest and there is something to go home with which is Nnamdi Kanu has no case but only being trampled upon for what is just and legal. Furthermore, there seems to be fear that the appeal court would dispense justice after Buhari might have tried to lobby the three justices. " They might have disagreed and he withheld the case file to show them what he can do. It is easy to lobby one man than three men" a spectator said amidst rumour'. Finally, it became more troublesome that FG that would appear before Tsoho even when he did not summon them will suddenly excuse themselves from appellate court. Buhari has his reason for this embarrassment but it would be fair we trust and still have confidence in the justices of the hallowed appellate court.
