TO WIKE AND AMAECHI: RIVERS MUST NOT BE A BATTLE FIELD

TO WIKE AND AMAECHI: RIVERS MUST NOT BE A BATTLE FIELD

By Ifeanyi Chijioke

For Family Writers

As soon as Rivers election ended, though caught by inconclusive Aneamia. Rotimi Amaechi quickly drove to the airport and left in his private jet. He did not only leave but made a closing remark of his experience in the battle field when he addressed journalists. I saw a man that came down from Abuja his home to Rivers his resort and wrecked havoc. His resort is in violence he planted and he has gone back to his sweet home. Before his coming, he had boasted that he would cross boundaries by coming to Wike's ward. It is clear that his father Mohammadu Buhari had given him authority and everything needed to destroy Rivers. It was no surprise when Wike complained that the Police and military deviated; the deviation means; Buhari gave Amaechi the force to cause death or kill Biafrans he sees as enemies. Today, Biafra land is a question of state of emergency, once Buhari succeeds, he would get the avenue to massacre more of us.

On the other side, as soon as the election ended; Governor Wike went back home and regretted why he allowed a prodigal son destroy his home. Wike as the executive Governor of Rivers should be blamed for the violence and death that occurred in Rivers. His inability to cage Amaechi or stop APC from orchestrating violence is where he takes all the blame notwithstanding he couldn't help it.

Wike reading this essay, I know he would label me a novice, he would say blaming him is wrong because "Federal might" cannot be stopped with "state might". He would say I am not aware of what he went through- the official treason by FG. He might have lost control of the army and police due to federal interest and interferences. But I still blame Wike for everything that transpired in Rivers. His Excellency, the day you stop taking blames is the day you stop being the executive governor of Rivers.

To Rotimi Amaechi- dear sir, I want to remind you that despite the "Rotimi" you bear, you are not Arewa or Oduduwa and neither is Abuja your home. You are a Biafran because Rivers is old eastern region, as you came down from Abuja to brag and cause death of our brothers, you have committed abomination of killing or causing death of your blood. You join hands with the enemies of the people of Rivers to hurt them- your people.

Rivers don't need APC or neither can they need you again after eight years with them. Wike owns Rivers as our people mandated him, you must leave Rivers for Wike because when two elephants fight, grass suffers the most. Putting up resistance or fighting Wike is fighting the people of Rivers, opposition is healthy but using federal might to derail Rivers is abomination that deserves banishment. Your desire borne out of frustration or pride to stop or suffer Wike has only brought death and violence to my people. Rivers cannot be taken, it belongs to the people. You started killing our people the day you decided to selfishly and forcefully stand the people against Jonathan our blood.

You have boasted with Federal might, you have used Federal influence to frustrate and oppose the people of Rivers by unleashing federal forces against state forces. The forces only brought death to my brothers. Dear Minister, there is need you hands off power struggle in Rivers so that peace can be restored. What will it cost to be an influencer or use your position to better the lives of our people than using it to show the opposition you can be? Nyesome Wike represents the people of Rivers and fighting him is fighting the people of Rivers.

I can reliably tell you that you are causing mayhem in Rivers and that is the grand plan of Muhammadu Buhari to take Rivers through state of emergency as the poll failed him. This strategic battle of usurpation is at the detriment of my innocent brothers but if Amaechi so wish us death; we shall die without a shred of fear and never shall Buhari take Rivers- our mandate through you. Rivers can be termed a deadly state to justify his invasion while his Boko Haram states are termed peaceful state. We don't give a damn and shall stand firm to come out victorious.

To Wike his Excellency, I am not your fan neither your admirer. How you treated peaceful and lawful Biafra protesters that voted you in even in the face of death baffled me. Why shoot and incarcerate them for lawfully saying they want something; are they forcing you? Even-though you have killed us; I never stopped loving you for your courage and doggedness. My brothers-your people are at the mercy of violence, I must bare my mind and massage not words but tell you everything the way it should be told.

I have known you as a dogged fighter and one that is jealous of Rivers people. I expected you to shift ground or be decisive and strategic in confronting this evil. I know they want to take Rivers by all means from us but you must approach it decisively. Not every battle needs equal measure, some battles need strategic and decisive approach while some need all-out attack.  You need decisive and strategic approach because those fighting you don't see Rivers as a home, they see it as battle-field. For you that sees it as home, fighting dirty will break the TV, mirror etc (properties).

Finally, you must plead or pray the people of Rivers to sheathe their swords, the battle is over and this is a time of reconciliation. Call them to order and tell them it is over, pray anti-Rivers and Pro-Rivers because they will hear you. Rivers belongs to everyone and we must not wreck havoc on it,  Amaechi must admit that the battle is over and you must see yourself as a truce broker. Killing ourselves by ourselves must stop, Buhari's foot soldiers had killed enough, we must team up and pray APC havoc wreckers. We must not play into the plan of those that are at the corridors of power in Abuja who want to sacrifice Rivers to gain favour or stamp their loyalties. Spare men to live that they may die gloriously in the battle for the true freedom of Rivers.
