KARMA: NORTHERN NIGERIA AND THE RISE OF BOKO-HARAM

KARMA: NORTHERN NIGERIA AND THE RISE OF BOKO-HARAM

I remember vividly Some years back at a seminar organized by The Supreme Council Of Sharia in Nigeria, President Muhammad Buhari made a very remarkable statement, he said:  "I will continue to show openly and inside me the total commitment to the Sharia movement that is sweeping all over Nigeria", He added- "God willing, we will not stop the agitation for the total implementation of the Sharia in the country". Still on the agitation for sharia and Islamizing the country, Boko haram began just like a child's play and at first it was called a social group by the northern elders. With time when the group revealed their vision and mission, the founder was arrested and when he mistakenly died in custody, the sect became more deadly.

Then again when the north lost the presidential seat, they slaughtered humans and destroyed properties just to frustrate the government but the most amazing and yet surprising thing was that they still got people who covers them and voices that speaks no ill of them by the time.

I can remember when President Muhammadu Buhari spoke as "Guest of the week" on Hausa program of Liberty radio Kaduna; he condemned the state of emergency which was declared in Borno, yobe state and also called the military offensive against boko haram 'an injustice against the north'.

Then in a twist of fate, reasons best know to them which I call the Power of Karma; the group became more wild and deadly that they started killing and destroying both their own people. Christians, mosques and markets were not speared.

But surprisingly Immediately they took that step, the same people who called them social group, who backed them up and who also called an attack on them injustice  became troubled, and highly disturbed over the same sect they felt less concerned while they slaughtered only the Christians.

Then again we were told that Shekau(ex leader of Boko haram) whom unfortunately  jumped out of the main target was killed. I call it super story because I have heard similar tales from Nigeria. Then again we woke up to a new side of the story, behold the technically defeated social group automatically have a new leader either by selection or election we are yet to be told and his name is Abu Musa Al Barnawi who apparently have the backing of ISIS and obviously have been briefed on the main and actual mission and his first introduction to Nigerians was telling them he will kill Christians and bring down churches. When this news hit the media houses I keenly observe as some group of people (mainly the Muslims) were hitting heavy Likes below the online medias that carried the news.

His words and these actions justifies that they are trying to kick Shekau out of the game because he fell from the main target and this absolutely means that the new appointed leader(Abu Musa) is appointed in to complete the main mission which is Sharia and Islamizing the country. The news of a new leader obviously didn't go down well with Abubakar Shekau(ex leader) who felt used and done with, cause he immediately resurrected from death and responded to the statement made by Abu Musa Al Barnawi(new leader) by saying he will continue to slaughter whoever he pleases. And this simply means he still stand by his former track. (losing sight of the main mission) Some may ask why the two opposition and leaders are in one ship but I want you to know that it's simply called karma Man proposes God disposes.

People are displaced from their various homes, suffering and dying of hunger in the hands of this wild sect, the seed which their fathers sowed and which some of them stood by all in the name of power, greed, and domineering religion. Day in, day out we are In the Valley of the shadow of death as long as the name 'Nigeria' is concern but we the Biafrans shall fear no evil because we're under the umbrella and protection of Chukwu Okike Abiama who is our shield and shelter.
