IPOB: SACKING OF ABUBAKAR MALAMI SAN, THE AGF, FROM NBA: A SEASONED CALL TO NIGERIA BAR ASSOCIATION

A Biblical quote said "If at any time, salt fail to produce its expected sweet savour, it is no longer good for anything but to be thrown away for people to tread on it". The Nigeria Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the federation, Mr. Abubakar Malami SAN, is one person who has like the biblical salt lost relevance and deserve nothing but outright dismissal from Nigeria Bar Association for onward sacking by president Muhammadu Buhari for making mockery of his office in the land. He made mockery of his office as he failed to enforce the laws completely in Nigeria as stipulated by the constitution either by dereliction, conduct or negligence. The result become grave lawlessness in Nigeria evidenced from the flagrant contempt to both domestic and international courts by Mr. President and his DSS, state sponsored onslaught on judicial officers in the land, neglect on activities of terror of Fulani herdsmen without any arrest or prosecution, human right abuses of citizens of Nigeria, etc.
In the Federal Republic of Nigeria constitution of 1999 as amended, section 150, sub-section (1), it stated thus "There shall be an Attorney-General of the Federation who shall be the Chief Law Officer of the Federation and a Minister of the Government of the Federation". This is the powers vested on Mr. Abubakar Malami SAN to operate under as a platform. However, under the regime of Mr. Abubakar Malami SAN, as the Chief Law Officer of Nigeria, all sorts of near anarchy types lawlessness have taken the center stage in Nigeria. He even aids the success of the lawlessness with his hallowed office. My evidence on the claim that he aids lawlessness is anchored on the fact that he used the power of his office to write to ECOWAS court and cluelessly questioned the jurisdiction of ECOWAS court to hear a case bothering on human right abuses of ECOWAS citizens within an ECOWAS member state while still believing that Nigeria domestic court has jurisdiction to try Nnamdi Kanu for preaching an ideology in a radio station in UK.
What a demonstration of legal moronism by number one law officer in Nigeria! By the reason of this continuous battering of the image of NBA, I now ask how long will Nigeria Bar Association keep mute and watch the only man representing their image in both Federal Executive Council, National Council of States, Federal Judicial Services Commission, etc continue to tarnish the said image and the NBA takes the bull by the horn and suspend him or outrightly dismiss him from NBA to serve as image laundry to NBA? Mr. Malami SAN to my own view is a monumental disgrace to NBA where he was appointed from in particular and legal profession in general. Considering the powers vested on his office by the constitution of Nigeria which in my own opinion is more than the psychological and intellectual fibre of Mr. Abubakar Malami SAN, it is better for him to honourably resign on the ground of intellectual incapacity to perform the duties of his hallowed office.
He is not legally trained and equipped enough to occupy such exalted office in the land but because Nigeria is a place of celebrating mediocrity, he is kept there to be disgracing NBA. Myself who is never a law student or ever a lawyer by disciple will interpret and enforce laws if I occupy such office vested with such powers by the constitution of the land because the excellent spirit of intellect of Nnamdi Kanu is in me.
Nevertheless, whether Mr. Malami SAN resigns or not, may not be the business of NBA but the image, reputation and integrity of Nigeria Bar Association is now under question because of the activities of Mr. Abubakar Malami SAN. NBA should without further delay suspend or outrightly dismiss Mr. Malami SAN from NBA or at least establish a panel of investigation to conduct enquiry in his excesses before it is too late. It is only mischief makers will till now feign ignorance of the near anarchy state which Nigeria has drifted into due to the dereliction of Mr. Malami SAN office, in properly interpreting and enforcing laws especially court orders and verdicts and calling lawless agencies like DSS to order when they over-step boundaries like invasion of judicial officers in the mid night and humiliating them because NJC only have constitutional powers to caution, punish, suspend, dismiss or recommend sitting judges for prosecution if found guilty of crime or corruption and not DSS or Mr. President office. In conclusion, the only way Nigeria Bar Association can purge themselves of disrepute, integrity damage, dishonour and shame brought to them by Mr. Abubakar Malami SAN, is to outrightly dismiss him from NBA as he is the most incompetent AGF ever in Nigeria.
