BIAFRA: BIAFRANS SHOULD NOW DECLARE THE SEATS OF BIAFRAN SENATORS AND REP MEMBERS VACANT IN NIGERIA PARLIAMENT

BIAFRA: BIAFRANS SHOULD NOW DECLARE THE SEATS OF BIAFRAN SENATORS AND REP MEMBERS VACANT IN NIGERIA PARLIAMENT

By Mazi Onyebuchi Eze (Nnamdi Kanu Disciple)
For Family Writers

Biafran commoners under the supreme command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu De Great (Prisoner of Conscience) have continued agitating for the restoration of Biafra on the platform of IPOB in the face of the state sponsored terror being carried out by Nigeria government against Biafrans through instrumentality of Nigeria armed forces as just contained in the Amnesty International report just released few days ago and Fulani herdsmen, without hearing senators and House of Rep members from Biafran states saying anything or moving any motion to register the demand of restoration of Biafra from people in the states and constituencies they are representing in both chambers of Nigeria parliament as to restore peace in West Africa.

There is nothing else that Biafrans in the ten states of Biafraland namely Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross-River, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo and Rivers states, should do now than to declare the seats of the senators and Rep members vacant in the Nigeria parliament. The Biafran populace in the states and constituencies should officially write letters that will be sent to the constituency officers of the senators and Rep members and let them know that their seats in Nigeria parliament has be declared vacant.

We will tell them that we the Biafrans who voted you people are hereby withdrawing the mandate we gave you people to represent us in the respective chambers of the parliament. After dropping our letters for notifying the senators, we will also let our traditional rulers to know that we have taken the journey to Biafran restoration to another dimension by withdrawing the mandate we gave our senators. We will also notify the government of Nigeria that Biafrans have withdrawn the mandate of representation given to our senators and Rep members as any further business the government is transacting with them is no longer in the interest of Biafrans who vote them because we have declared their seats vacant by withdrawing our mandate given to them.

Other Nigerians may ask why Biafrans decided to declared the seats of their representatives in Nigeria parliament vacant by withdraw of their mandate given to them through their votes. The answer should be as follows:

(1) We Biafra are committed to the quest for the restoration of Biafra our God given nation. There is no how we will be agitating for the restoration of Biafra and at the same time still maintain a representation and interest in Nigeria parliament. Those senators and Rep members are also Biafrans who should come home and join us in the struggle to restore Biafra. We don’t want representation any more in Nigeria parliament.

(2) Biafrans wish to withdraw the mandate given the legislators because they have not represented us well. An ideal legislator moves motion in the parliament containing the boiling issues or demand of people in his constituency after a constituency hearing or town hall meetings with relevant stakeholders to ascertain the true demand of the people in the constituency just Late Pa Anthony Ehahoro of blessed memory did in his time for Nigeria independence. There is no evidence or reference whatsoever that any of the 30 senators in 10 states of Biafra has ever come home and had any town hall meeting and discuss the boiling issues of Biafra which has made Nigeria government to massacre thousands of Biafrans from August 2015 to August 2016 as already reported by Amnesty International.

Again, no senator or Rep members of Biafra extraction has ever move any motion for the call to listen to the people of Biafra as they are protesting in virtually every country in the world with demand to restore Biafra. Sen. T. A. Orji is representing a senatorial zone where Nnamdi Kanu is held from but has never raised the issue of his illegal arrest and detention in the senate but representatives of Nnamdi Kanu constituency in both UK house commons and EU parliaments have at different times registered a displeasure over the detention of Nnamdi Kanu (a British Citizen) in Nigeria. But the legislators representing him Nigeria (senate & Rep) has cowardly say nothing about his illegal arrest and illegal detention in Nigeria parliament.

There is virtually no part of Biafra where Biafrans has not been massacred, yet none of them ever open mouth and fearlessly report the evil of Nigeria armed forces against Biafrans. That is why I hereby move motion that it is time we declare the seats of these senators and Rep members vacant and disown their further representation in Nigeria parliament. They have obviously shown that they are not representing Biafrans but their pockets. I want Biafrans resident in states of Biafraland to quickly hold rallies in front of their constituency offices and declare their seats vacant.

  2. Why are hausa and Yoruba people so much afraid of Biafra going out of Nigeria? The so called hausa and yorubas are the ones busy saying that Biafrans that is igbos are the problem of Nigeria that they are the ones tarnishing the image of Nigeria that they are thieves kidnappers and even in abroad that they are the ones still tarnishing the image of the country Nigeria by doing drug business and all types of evil. And the same Biafrans now said that they don't want to be long to Nigeria anymore because they don't want to be tarnishing the country's image any longer, and you Hausa and Yorubas are saying No that they must remain in Nigeria. That is just like you went and bring in someone into your own house and you later find out that this person is a thief and he is really bringing you shame and disgrace then along the line this person on his own wish said he want to go and you said No that he will never go, that means you are the thief and the one doing all evil things. Yes we the Biafrans we agreed we do all that evil things even we do more than that ones you mentioned but you refuse us to go why because you Hausa and Yoruba knows very well that without Biafrans there will be nothing like Nigeria.

  5. I concur. Some radical action must be taken politically to send a clear message to these coward senators and assembly representatives from SE/SS representing us in the Islamic republic of Nigeria. In most civilized and advanced democracies, legislators and senators vigorously debate issues concerning the nation and the constituencies they represent. In the case of Nigeria, they are only after their pockets and the senators and legislators from SE/SS especially are the most coward human-beings on planet earth.

  7. Well; this is what I have been saying for quite a long time now. The provision is there in their constitution. The best thing is to use everything; to use their own constitution against them, yet not leaving out all our other weapons and methods; recall the idiots as requested above and foil any attempt to conduct elections for replacing the recalled. We must do this, not by violence but by simply boycotting the elections. But this will only be possible if we build a strong government of our won. How can this government be built? We already have traditional village meetings and government. We need to get the sound minds amongst our youths as youth leaders, village chairmen, etc. At the village level, we then avoid using anyone who has eating or drank with the Nigerian government. This will build strength at the village level. It is very important. It must be noted that, even for the sake of referendum, we must build our votes at the village level. Hence the time to start working hard at the grass-root is now. Expecting that they will want to use the police to harass people during village meetings and therefore force people to avoid the new structure, we have to avoid terming it Biafran meetings. We already know that we are all Biafrans and love, hence their is no need to shout the name and give them an instrument to use against us. The idea is to strengthen our village meetings and give ourselves the feeling that we have decided to take our destiny as a people into our hands by carrying out certain communal activities aimed at rebuilding out society. We need to bring back strongly, the old activities our fathers and grandfathers used to work with as communities. Let the village and town hall meeting draw people away from Nigerian events and create an atmosphere of separation, alienation without violence, and a total resolve to find a way to life without recourse to Nigerian government - be it at federal or state level. Mental withdrawal coupled with internalization of our social, political, legal, and financial structures and systems will automatically dissolve the chains of bondage. For instance, if a man and a woman live together, but the woman neither asks for house keeping money, no greets the man, nor asks his help or support under any circumstances; and avoids him even if he antagonizes her; then, even if he refused to sign the divorce papers, the marriage is automatically dissolved. If we do not ask their police but use out local vigilante for security; if we do not go to their courts but resolve out disputes within ourselves or at Court Nwukwa; if we do not care about their allocations but use our community programs of old to contribute money ( remember the old taxing method?) and also Ikuchi Nkwu etc.; if we form village corporative and do business with thier citizens just as we do with those of other countries; if we can bring in internet services into the Obi, which is the gathering place in every kindred, and through that, connect our villages and young men and women with the world outside for business, have we not separated ourselves from them and formed a nation?. Then when IPOB , MASSSOB , etc succeed in getting referendum, will it not be one way traffic?. If we decide to withdraw those blokes in their senate and house of representative, will it not be easier?. I strongly support this write up and have already written/asking for it before. But we need to do greater strategizing at the grass root without violence - just solidifying our already existing traditional government. They cannot turn it violent. We know they will send people and will also want to intimidate the people. That is why we needs to brand it as Government of the People instead of Biafran government; or we can call it Peoples Renaissance Government (PRG), or Government for peoples Renaissance (GPR).
