IPOB: NIGERIA PRESIDENT CALLS FOR MEDIA BLACKOUT ON NNAMDI KANU'S COURT CASE

The President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari, has ordered for a total Media Blackout and Barricade over the trial of the leader of the Indigenous people of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu who was unlawfully detained and imprisoned on the 14th of October 2015.

The IPOB leader and citizen Nnamdi Kanu who was kept in DSS custody and denied the right to be arraigned in court twice, was after few months arraigned in court following the monstrous alarm and protests carried out by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) all across the globe. On the 17th of November 2016, when Citizen Nnamdi Kanu and two other defendants, David Nwawusi and Benjamin Madubugwu, were brought to court and bail application heard, as the case was presided by Justice Binta Nyako the third and new Judge over this very case, there was monstrous fight and barricade against the Biafra Media personnels, who came from far and wide, to the Federal High Court Abuja, to take coverage of the case.

The Nigeria Government has been utilising their Brown envelope media agents, to twist and give out false reports on this case, as they add more charges, Exaggerate and persecute IPOB Leader contrary to the court proceedings in other to bring about tension and false impression over this obvious innocent citizen who only exercised his human right in accordance to UN Charter of Self-Determination. This false reportage by the Nigeria media Houses, went on for long, until the Media Houses under IPOB started going to the court proceedings, while reporting the case and handling total media coverage to expose the factual outcome of the court proceedings formally reported by the Nigeria Brown Envelope Media Houses.

This now led to the order of a "Total Media Blackout", by the President of Nigeria, as his Security agents, molest all Reporters who went into the court, to take coverage of the court proceedings. Giving firsthand information, as one of the IPOB reporter (representing Family Writers) who was victimized, before the court sitting, members of IPOB Media, had their Phones seized by the Nigeria Department of State Security and other heavily armed force men, sighted at the entrance of the gate.

Cameras and other Writing equipments were forcefully hijacked and seized, while the State Security molested most reporters by taking them to an underground room right in the court for two hours. They were asked to lie down on the floor and beaten mercilessly, after being interrogated and confirmation made that they were IPOB reporters.  Most of us were beaten up and harassed, in an unforgivable manner that posterity will not forget.

For those who were allowed to go into the court, we were molested and ordered not to take pictures of the defendants even after court proceedings. When the warders from Kuje Prison were asked why they palisade against taking a snap shot of the defendants, one of the Prison warders replied " It's an order from above".

One would wonder why the same "Above Order", who convicted citizen Nnamdi Kanu through his first presidential media chart, installs presiding judge over this particular case, is not yet satisfied with his quest to violate and trample on the right of Citizen Nnamdi Kanu. He is not just calling for a Media Blackout, but the molestation of the Media personnel's boldly trying to exercise their human right, by reporting this case without exaggeration or fallacy. The International community, World Leaders and Human Right organisations should hastenly rise up, to break this shackles against the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), because even Muhammadu Buhari the President of Nigeria, stated “Nobody have the right to stop others from being free". He also publicly declared his support for the Palestinian State, hence has no right to stop the coverage of this case or denying Citizen Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans their freedom. The World should look out for the next barbaric move by this jihadist and Man whose interest is to implement sharia law, in a country where numerous religion is being practiced.
