Welcome to the last edition of Family Writers Spotlight of the week for the month of February 2017.
Briefly, let's begin with the first update that broke out during the week..
* When people were trying to put themselves together and settle down; fresh attacks hit 3 Southern Kaduna communities, left 21 dead and scores injured.
It was noted after previous attack that left many dead, The Nigeria government promised to bring the perpetrators to book but none was brought to book till this recent attack.
Who're truly, those behind these attacks and killing of Christians in Southern Kaduna that can't be brought to book by the Nigeria government?
Huh! The governments of Nigeria have a lot hidden behind the door over this issue.
* "Nigerians are curse to us, they have destroyed our lives" -South Africans attack Nigerians again.
* Right there at the door of the SSS of Nigeria known as DSS, the unexpected happened.
Guess what?..............
They said the truth for once.
"No evidence that Justice Ademola demanded bribe to grant Kanu and Dasuki bail" -That's according to the DSS who confessed in the court.
Shooooo! DSS, vomit the truth? First in history.
Maybe it's because their top commander in Aso Rock is away.
* "Release Nnamdi Kanu now to save Nigeria from needless war" aggrieved Nigerian Writes open letter to the Nigerian government.
* While the masses are busy shouting- "Hungry o, Suffering o.; the deputy Senate president Ike Ekweremadu screamed and said -"Under Buhari, naira now Africa's worst currency".
Ghen! Ghen!!
* "Poverty, polygamy and terrorism have connection, i'll introduce a law prohibiting poor men from marrying more than one wife" -Emir of Kanu(Sanusi Lamido) spits fire.
And that simply means rich people like him can marry as many wives as they want but the question is- Is it only poor men's children that got themselves involve in terrorism or is he trying to indirectly legalize their Islamic system of child marriage only for the rich?
* "Bakassi still exists despite ceding to Cameroon" - that's according to Clan head.
* Spotlight of the week took a look into the Judiciary where a witness told the court that Buhari's lawyer gave corrupt Nigerian judges #500,000 during certificate controversy.
Hmmm.. Irony of fighting corruption .
* "We'll meet at ICC" -IPOB replies Nigerian army.
This was after the Nigerian military denied they didn't kill members of IPOB during the rally in support of US President Donald Trump.
* Lai Mohammed has dropped it again.
This time, he said- "Fake news poses more treat than insurgency and terrorism"
And the masses are asking him- "Professor Lie, if that's the case then who else tells lies more than you?"
* Following the human rights abuse, IPOB seeks travel ban on Nigerian government officials.
* EUROPE UNION(EU) responded to the Issue of Detention of the Leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra(Mazi Nnamdi Kanu) and other Biafrans, and said it is monitoring his trial.
On the other hand, they also send a strong message across to the Nigerian government in a new letter.
* While people are seriously asking- "Where is Buhari?";
Again, the federal government of Nigeria said Buhari spoke again on phone with Hausa language, saying- "I'm feeling better".
Hmm... That simply means he will soon speak again on phone with Chinese language.
* Still on the denial of killing Biafrans during Trump solidarity rally by the Nigerian military; Army and Amnesty International, trade words over killing, torture of Biafrans and others.
* "Nigeria breakup imminent, Oduduwa Republic inevitable" -Bayo Oluwasanmi.
Ghen! Ghenn!! Another Yoruba man spoke again.
* Despite the hardship in Nigeria; The Central Bank of Nigeria are at it again, another systematic stealing from the masses.
CBN reintroduce charges on cash payments and withdrawals, customers to pay three and 7.5 percent for deposits and withdrawals respectively.
* Our Spotlight camera took a look into Cameroon and found out that even Cameroon is deporting Nigerians.
They deported 517 Nigerians with 85,000 to be sent home soon.
Still on same issue, Italy deported 43 Nigerians empty-handed.
* "President Muhammadu Buhari is not coming home soon" -London source disclose, unlike what the Nigeria presidency said.
* "Restructure Nigeria, give Biafrans referendum" - Bakare tells Buhari.
* During the week, the vigilante group in Delta state intercepted armed herdsmen from Taraba going to Anioma in Delta state.
* NNAMDI KANU: ECOWAS court suspends judge over alleged fraud.
Wilkins Wright (The Judge handling the case of the Leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra) has been suspended for 12 months over fraud.
Hmm. This justified the alarm raised earlier by IPOB.
