NNAMDI KANU'S TRIAL, JUSTICE BINTA NYAKO AND THE SHARIA LORDS OF THE NIGERIA STATE

NNAMDI KANU'S TRIAL, JUSTICE BINTA NYAKO AND THE SHARIA LORDS OF THE NIGERIA STATE

I have watched with utmost disappointment, how Mrs. Binta Nyako who is serving as the presiding judge to the case of the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has continued to summersault in her various contradictory and controversial rulings pertaining to the trial of the IPOB leader who has been in detention since October 14, 2015.

From all indications so far, Mrs., Binta Nyako has clearly shown that she is not ready to adjudicate justice, rather she has revealed to be under intense pressure to do the bidding of those who appointed her to steer the proceedings of the most publicized trial within Nigeria and beyond.

It is pathetic and incomprehensible that a federal high court Judge , who is under oath to dispense justice without any fear or favour, have become a willing tool in the hands of her political lords, to manipulate and suffocate justice, thereby making the constitution of Nigeria a laughing stock to the international community. Her injunctions in the ongoing Nnamdi Kanu's trial have become so flexible to the extent that today she rules against a matter, and tomorrow she reverses her ruling.

This is exemplified in her recent ruling on March 20, 2017, in which she pronounced that Nnamdi Kanu's trial must be done secretly subject to Sharia law, which goes contrary to her ruling earlier in January this year, during which she struck out secret trial for the IPOB leader.
What we have seen so far in Nnamdi Kanu's trial is no longer rule of law and justice; rather, it is a miscarriage of justice, resulting from the intimidation and manipulation of the judiciary by Buhari's government.

Nnamdi Kanu, a freedom fighter exercising his inalienable right to Self-determination, was arrested on the 14th of October 2015, and has been held ever since despite court orders that has granted him release. The Nigeria government leveled frivolous 11 count charges against the IPOB leader, ranging from treasonable felon, to managing and belonging to an unlawful society, alongside others.    The court struck out 6 out of the 11 count charges, even as it held that IPOB is Legal, since there is no evidence to substantiate the allegation that Nnamdi Kanu is managing or belongs to an unlawful society, which goes further to imply that Self-determination is an inalienable right of all indigenous peoples.

However, on the 20th of March 2017, when everyone expected the court to to release Nnamdi Kanu and his co-defendants, the presiding judge, Mrs Nyako resorted back to secret trial and even ordered Nnamdi Kanu 's defense counsels, Barrister Ejiofor and others to go and study the Sharia law in order to comprehend her rulings.

Based on this, it is very certain that Justice Binta Nyako has seen that  Nnamdi Kanu is not guilty as alleged, therefore she desperately turned to try Nnamdi Kanu based on the Principles of Sharia law in order to satisfy her political lords who appointed and paid her to murder justice, by ensuring that Nnamdi Kanu is jailed.

Now, it is time for people of good conscience and of all lovers of freedom, democracy and rule of law to stand up and resist this jihadist plot of Binta Nyako and the Nigeria government to infiltrate the Nigeria constitution with the so called Sharia law, because Nigeria is not an Islamic state.
Finally, based on what we have seen so far in Nnamdi Kanu's trial, every reasonable mind must have at this juncture resolved and demand the following:

1. That under the principles of civil and common law of Nigeria, he, Nnamdi Kanu is not guilty as alleged by the Federal government of Nigeria, and self-determination is a right that belongs to the Indigenous People.

2 That under the democratic principles of law,  Nnamdi Kanu has the right to speak out against the injustice meted on his people.
3. That, whoever that has evidence against citizen Nnamdi Kanu must come openly to testify against him.
