BRITISH GOVT CYNICISM ON HER CITIZENS AND NNAMDI KANU AS A CASE STUDY: AN OPEN LETTER TO BRITISH CITIZENS ALL OVER THE WORLD

BRITISH GOVT CYNICISM ON HER CITIZENS AND NNAMDI KANU AS A CASE STUDY: AN OPEN LETTER TO BRITISH CITIZENS ALL OVER THE WORLD

12/4/2017

Dear Imperial British Citizens,

NNAMDI KANU: A VICTIM OF BRITISH GOVT CYNICISM

I am seriously constrained to write this open letter to all of you who are British Citizens all over the world to bring to your notice the cynicism of your government to a British Citizen who has been held in an unlawful detention in Nigeria since 14th October 2015. The name of this British Citizen who has being in illegally detention in Nigeria for nearly 2 calendar years now is Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who resides in North-West London, England of UK.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the popular Supreme Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Worldwide and also Director of Radio Biafra London/Biafra TV, organizations which he duly registered in UK Govt internal Corporate affairs under British Law, as instruments to be used to pursue a legitimate course of restoration of Biafra as a sovereign nation from the occupying government of Nigeria. He is a Biafran by his Indigenous identity, and Biafrans are indigenous people located somewhere in West Africa near the gulf of Guinea in Atlantic ocean. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is an Igbo by his indigenous tribe.

British Citizens, it become imperative to let you people know that in the legitimate course of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu making global political consultations, diplomatic persuasions and local sensitizations in Biafra Land where such desire is emanating from, on best way to go in getting the nod of acceptance of Nigeria government to organize a referendum to test the wish of Biafran people; whether to remain in Nigeria federation which is presently forcefully occupying the territories of Biafra or whether the people will choose to restore the sovereignty of the territory, Nigeria government unlawfully arrested Mazi Nnamdi Kanu when he visited Biafra Land for grassroots consultations with Elders, Chiefs and Kings in Biafra Land. It will surprise you people to know that an imperial British Citizen has being in such unlawful detention since 14/10/2015 with British government doing little or nothing to show Nigeria government a displeasure over such detention of her Citizen.

Imperial British Citizens, it will also interest you to know that 2 Courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria has ruled that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (the British Citizen) should be released unconditionally when both Courts in different trials find nothing as crime committed by Mazi Kanu who is exercising his right to #Self-determination. These two separate court verdicts have never been obeyed by Nigeria government, yet British government cynically refused to diplomatically register a displeasure against Nigeria over detention of her revered Imperial Citizen.

British Citizens, it was on the above analyzed realities that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu through his defense lawyer, Hon Ifeanyi Ejiofor wrote to British government to bring her notice to the unlawful detention and inhumane treatment being meted on him by Nigeria government, again British government in her bid to retain her economic interest in Nigeria fail to do any reasonable thing with Nnamdi Kanu's report other than a mere letter which British govt wrote to Nigeria making her know that British government is aware that Nigeria is holding her Citizen. It is expected that since Nigeria domestic courts have acquitted Nnamdi Kanu and Nigeria govt refused to obey the Court verdicts that British government should immediately sanction Nigeria and severe all diplomatic ties binding Britain and Nigeria until the court verdicts are obeyed.

Imperial British Citizens, according to Vienna Conventions of 1964, article 36, it stated thus: any British Citizen held in detention or convicted to prison anywhere in the world is entitled to the consular services of British government. The consular services mentioned above includes a high-powered diplomatic persuasion so that such detained British Citizen should be arraigned and tried at a reasonable time in a court under the serious monitoring of the British consular. However, in this case Nnamdi Kanu has been acquitted by two Court as far back as December 17, 2015 but British government cynically overlooks Nigeria which committed court contempt in releasing her detained citizen.

British Citizens, although Nnamdi Kanu is not begging for his release, but I must tell you that his continuous detention on the watchful eyes of British govt portend danger to the Imperial Right of British Citizens in the world. Today, Nigeria is unlawfully detaining Nnamdi Kanu and Britain do nothing, tomorrow Iran may detain Michael Owen & Britain will still do nothing. It is time for British citizens to begin to protest against unlawful detention of their fellow British imperial citizen or risk the boomerang of the injustice of British government against Nnamdi Kanu.

  1. Shame to British government for their silence against human right abuse of Nnamdi Kanu, who is their citizen. Because of crude of oil flow and fear of radical Islam you compromise your principle and dignity as a nation! Shame on you! Moreover, Nnamdi Kanu is being detained by an ex-military dictator, whom you know very well committed treason in 1983 when he overthrew the democratically elected government of Alhaji Shagari and Chief Ekwueme. Britain, you brought your religion to us and we embraced it. Now, you turn around to support Muslims to marginalize us and kill us and you don’t say anything. What a hypocritical world. Very shameful indeed.
