BIAFRA: BRINGING THE ATTENTION OF THE WORLD TO UNCONSTITUTIONAL MILITARY SIEGE AND BRUTALITIES IN IGBO LAND

BIAFRA: BRINGING THE ATTENTION OF THE WORLD TO UNCONSTITUTIONAL MILITARY SIEGE AND BRUTALITIES IN IGBO LAND

By Mazi Onyebuchi Eze
For Family Writers

As the Islamic government of Nigeria has unleashed an unconstitutional military siege and brutalities in Igbo land of Biafra, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the supreme command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is hereby bringing the attention of the International Community and the world at large to the brutalities being meted out on Biafrans on daily basis in our ancestral land. It has become necessary to alert the world that the Nigerian Army is secretly kidnapping and wasting the lives of Biafran youths all over the land. IPOB has the proof to that . As it is at the moment, there are many Igbo youths who are missing in Aba, Owerri, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Umuahia, Onitsha and their whereabouts still unknown to their respective relatives. This enforced disappearance and eventual summary execution of Igbo youths was traced to the Nigerian Army.

According to the Family Writers Press eagle-eye investigative journalists who made inquiry on the root cause of the missing Igbo youths all over Igbo land, Family Writers Press has authentic information with proof that the Nigerian Army is secretly kidnapping Igbo youths and killing them with the view that they are members of Biafra Security Service officers. IPOB has started compiling the names of the missing Igbo youths with their family names for onward transmission to Amnesty International, Intersociety, HURIWA and other local and international Human Right Organisations. It is still on record that recently, the Amnesty International released a report that there are thousands of people disappearing in Nigeria on daily basis. We are telling the world that the majority of the people who are missing in Nigeria according to the recent Amnesty International report are Igbo youths from Eastern Nigeria presently known as Biafra land.

Biafrans resident in Igbo land are raising alarm and calling on the governors of Igbo land, Human Right Organizations, International Media, International Community and the world at large to come to the rescue of the Igbo race from the secret killings of Igbo youths by the Nigerian Army. The Nigerian Army has launched OPERATION PYTHON DANCE II, the sole objective of the unconstitutional military operation and territorial siege is to intensify the secret abduction and summary execution of Igbo youths for no good reason, who continued disappearing on daily basis. The time has come for the world to ask the Nigerian government and her military what the Igbo people and Biafrans at large did wrong to warrant these inhumane treatments meted on their youths. The world must break their deafening silence over the evils of the Nigerian Army in Igbo land because it is now war against the helpless Igbo youths.

It is upon this ground that the Indigenous People of Biafra worldwide under the supreme command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu hereby call on the Nigerian government to return all soldiers parading up and down in Igbo land to their barracks. This is because there is no imminent security threats in Igbo land at the moment warranting such intimidating military presence in a democratic and peaceful society like the Igbo land. In a civilized world, military men do not need to parade the streets like a place under state of emergency, brutalizing law abiding citizens and secretly kidnapping and killing innocent civilians openly and secretly before they can maintain territorial defense through intelligence gatherings. The Igbos do not need military siege around them or any form of armed military presence because Igbo land is not under state of emergency or is there any perceived security threats having to do with the violation of territorial integrity of the land.

If the Nigerian Army refuses to return its officers scattered all over the streets of Igbo land and all the armoured tanks rolling left and right to the barracks of Enugu, Abakaliki, Obinze, Onitsha, Ukwa, within the next 7 days, Igbo women may begin a voracious gale of protests against the military siege and the brutalities meted on Igbo youths which the result would be very ugly for the Nigerian government. In the military rules of engagement, any armed military presence in a democratic and peaceful society like the Igbo land is pure dictatorship against the people. Streets of Igbo land are not military training grounds or training forests.

The International Community should kindly join hands with the Igbo people and their leaders to compel the Nigerian government and her Army to abolish OPERATION PYTHON DANCE II anywhere in Igbo land and return the soldiers with their armoured tanks to barracks where they rightly belong pending when any invitation is given to them for an emergency response to any insurrection or territorial violation of the land. For now, the Igbo land is very peaceful.

The Igbo youths have disappeared enough and we can no longer tolerate their secret disappearance. Should Operation Python Dance continues after 7 days, it would be viewed as a declaration of war against the Igbo people by the Nigerian government which could attract deadly consequences.

A word is enough for the wise!
