BIAFRA:  KASHIM SHETTIMA IS A CRIMINAL, NOT NNAMDI KANU

Following the recent attacks by the Nigerian Army in Abia State which led to the massacre of unarmed innocent Biafrans, the Federal government in a swift move to restore calm delegated five northern governors led by Kashim Shettima of Borno State to broker peace in the South East region. It could be recalled that the  Nigerian Army, in an operation code-named, "Operation Python Dance", invaded the home of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), shot scores of people to death, including his pet dog, captured some youths, tortured and killed them. They did not stop there, they barged into people's homes and killed them in their sleep at night. All the videos and pictures of this brutal and gruesome massacre are there for all to see.

These governors, arrived Owerri, the Imo State capital and were received by their counterpart, Rochas Okorocha. Kashim Shettima, who led the team, addressed both the Igbo and Hausa leaders. According to him, lack of development in the South East is not as a result of marginalization but the fault of the past leaders. South East has occupied exalted positions like the Senate President, Secretary to the Federal Government and so on. Invariably, the Igbos are not marginalized and he described Nnamdi Kanu as an ordinary criminal:

"You can take for instance the case of Nnamdi Kanu who is an ordinary criminal. When he was arrested, Senators from the Southeast were falling head over heels to bail him for what they could gain at the detriment of National unity and peaceful co-existence "- Kashim Shettima.

This means that all the while the northern leaders were upset by the Igbo politicians signing Nnamdi Kanu’s bail. They least expected them to have identified with their brother.

Kashim Shettima has goofed by calling Nnamdi Kanu a  criminal and we challenge him to mention the crime committed by Kanu. If Kanu had committed any crime, wouldn't he had been jailed by the Court all the while? Nnamdi Kanu and Biafrans are agitating for self-determination, which is our inalienable right enshrined under the United Nations charter. We are waiting for Shettima to tell  70 million Biafrans world wide, the records indicting Nnamdi Kanu or where he was labeled a criminal anywhere in the world.

Kashim Shettima, who cannot imagine his existence on earth without oil money from Nnamdi Kanu’s land, is highly Instrumental to the existence of Boko haram insurgency in Borno State. With him, as the governor, Boko haram has refused to fissel out because he controls his own faction. It was alleged that the series of attacks this year by Boko haram, at the University of Maiduguri was as a result of his demand of 800 million naira monthly from the Vice Chancellor. The Vice Chancellor refused to comply by such outrageous sum and Kashim Shettima ordered his Boko haram boys to attack the University which led to the deaths of many people.

Kashim Shettima, equally had a hand in the kidnap of those Chibok girls after which he rewarded the Principal of the school with the position of Commissioner for Education. There are other exposures. If Shettima does not tell Biafrans where and how Nnamdi Kanu became a criminal, he should be rest assured that IPOB's eagle-eye investigative team will not hesitate to reveal to Nigerians and the whole world his true nature.
