Greetings and welcome to Spotlight Of The Week from the desk of Family Writers Press. On this special edition; we'll be bring to you trending updates and reactions which have been making round during the week.
• First on this edition, we have here with us - "IPOB is not a terrorist group" - US, EU tells Federal Government of Nigeria, reject the unlawful proscription of the Indigenous group.
As we were watching; the matter didn't just end there,, shortly after the statement, The presidency of Nigeria replied and say: " US, EU's position on IPOB, inconsequential and immaterial to Nigeria".
Ohuh! Becoming tough for Nigeria? Let's watch and see how it'll end.
• Still on Spotlight;
" You must provide Nnamdi Kanu" - Biafrans tells Nigerian government and military.
Recall: Nigerian military broke into the home of the Leader of IPOB, where many people were killed, properties destroyed and others including Nnamdi Kanu are still missing.
Too bad.
• "Our Mumu Don Do". Remember the group? The CharleyBoy-led group who were brutalized sometime ago by the Nigerian police during protest in Abuja, are at it again. During the week, Charley Boy filled a suit against Nigeria police. Guess his demand....
# 500m compensation.
And the question now is: Who'll pay?, In which country?, When? and how?.

• Slow and steady, we roll Spotlight boat to Anambra state where Gov. Obiano said: " Buhari likes governors like me who deliver ".
Hmmmm..... Still wondering where he's driving at? Anyway, the cry and situation in Anambra state tells better.
• During the week; as Nigeria marked her 57 independence sadness, sorry, - celebration, Libya deport 138 Nigerians again.
Recall this isn't the first time Libya have deported those from the geographical area called 'Nigeria', and Libya isn't the only country that have deported many Nigerians.
Hmmm.... Surprise? You don't have to.
• Still on Orji Uzor Kalu's comment on Nnamdi Kanu's whereabout; "Orji Uzor Kalu tried to use #35billion to bribe Nnamdi Kanu through me but failed that's why he's vomiting nonsense" - Nnamdi Kanu's brother reveal.
Ohuh!!!!!
• "We'll all decide if we want Nigeria to breakup or not" - that's according to Buhari's aid, Lauretta who have been kicking about.
• "Nigerian embassies are facing threats from host countries" - Nigerian Senate raise alarm, ...says building permits to be revoked, ...rents to embassy staff not paid.

Recall: When they said there was corruption in the country, all these weren't happening but now that they said they are fighting corruption, strange things are happening. And the question is Who Is Deceiving Each Other?.

• While the Nigerian government and military are busy exercising 'Operation Python dance, Crocodile smile' and other animal activities in Nigeria; 15 persons got infected, 50 under surveillance as a disease called 'Monkey Pox' hit Bayelsa state. Still on the Animals things,, just as 'Operation Crocodile smile' extended to Rivers state, report came in that, monkey pox have also stretched forth it's hands to the state where some persons also got infected.

• " I was on air discussing 'The Asaba Massacre', a call came from NBC, "Shut the show down". - Cheta Nwanze, a Social Commentator, voice out after Nigeria Broadcasting Commission kick him off the air for discussing about Asaba Genocide carried out on October 1967 by the Nigerian military.

During the week, US rejected Nigeria's yam. When asked WHY, US said "Your yams are of poor quality".
Now, you'll be wondering why a country like Nigeria where the masses are crying and complaining " Hungry o, Hungry o", is attempting to export the little poor quality food they have.

Southerners and Middle-Belters" - Femi Fani-Kayode.
• Still on Nigerian military's attack on Nnamdi Kanu's home; "Nwodo, Buhari, SE Governors and Orji Uzor Kalu, plotted Nnamdi Kanu's death" - Nnamdi Kanu's brother reveal.

• "Tell us why you won't release El-Zakzaky" - Shiites said as they dare Buhari.
• "Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB not terrorists" - Middle-Belt, Southern leaders blast FG, tells them to stop arresting and killing IPOB members.

• Killing of civilians,,, Court orders Nigerian Army to pay #85.5 million.

Anyway, we are still waiting for an answer from them.
• As Buhari-led APC government of Nigeria are busy fighting the alleged Kwuropshion(Corruption) of past administration; " Money keeps missing under Buhari's watch" - Government officials, Pastor Olumide Akinrinlola and others cries out loud.
• "I disapprove on the declaration made by South-East Governors and FG that members of Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB are terrorists. They are only seeking for Justice" - Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye.

Despite been caught with evidence, Army clears 760 Boko haram terrorists, which according to them, were "Ordinary Suspects".
