OPEN LETTER TO NIGERIA'S CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF, GENERAL TURKUR BURATAI--- I WANT TO SEE NNAMDI KANU

OPEN LETTER TO NIGERIA'S CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF, GENERAL TURKUR BURATAI--- I WANT TO SEE NNAMDI KANU

Please read this letter with understanding so that you realize  what I have been passing through ever since your men- the callous army officers abducted our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It is my humble plea that you read this letter with full consciousness, to enable you understand the dangers of having Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), under your custody without any vital information concerning his safety and actual whereabout to Biafrans and lovers of freedom.

Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai
I write to you with a heavy heart full of pains, rage and worries over the well being of my revered and super-eminent leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who is currently in your custody.
It would be my greatest pleasure if your harden heart could be soften for a while and permit me to see and talk to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whom by your order and command, was taken away by your men in the Nigerian army, to an unknown destination since the 14th day of September, 2017.
I want you to understand that ever since the bloody invasion and raid at Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's home by your men, which left not less than 37 men dead and over 50 injured, I and millions of Biafrans all over the world have been restless, owing to the fact that our cherished leader has not been seen or heard from since the day your bloodthirsty soldiers whisked him away. We can  rest and have peace of mind only if we see and speak with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

I actually traveled to Abuja, two days before the slated date of his court sitting, with the hope of seeing my leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu appear at the Federal High Court, just as all had expected you to bring him to court on the 17th of October, 2017, for the continuation of his trial. However, to the dismay and disappointment of all and sundry, neither you, your men nor  your co-conspirators produced Nnamdi Kanu in court.
I left Abuja back to Igweocha(Port-Harcourt)  with a wounded heart filled with emotional trauma. It has been days and months of so much pains for me, ever since I have not heard nor seen Nnamdi Kanu.

Frankly speaking, I want to see Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It is my heart desire to see Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. I can only find rest and be comforted if I see Nnamdi Kanu. Over 70 million Biafrans also want to see and know the safety of their leader. That is our heart desire and which must be granted. Many Biafrans are sick and in anguish today, because they have not heard from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Nnamdi Kanu's thunderous voice gives hope,  strength,  joy,  inspiration and  courage to millions of Biafrans all over the world.  Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not just an individual belonging to his family and kinsmen; he is an institution, a nation  and a millennium gift to Africa and mankind. Mazi represents the voice of over 70 million Biafrans all over the world, both old and young. He is the only viable voice speaking the minds of the people of the old eastern region of Nigeria,  originally known as Biafra land. And we have come to love him so much that we cannot  afford to lose him. In fact, all hell will soon  let loose, should anything happens to him.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is the only leader of thought in Biafra land, who has the  problems  of  all Biafrans  at heart and who also knows how it pains to treat Biafrans as second class citizens. He is the only genuine leader representing the interest and aspirations of the Indigenous People of Biafra. Every other person holding a political position has lost value long ago, because they certainly do not care about us, rather they are more ambitious of their selfish interests and pockets. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is our leader,  uncle, brother,  cousin, father and  son, put together, in whom we are well pleased. I really want to see Nnamdi Kanu, Biafrans want to see Nnamdi Kanu.

I am pained for the loss of my innocent brothers and sisters, murdered in their cold blood by your  men, because they were unarmed, peaceful and defenseless. It is deeply hurting me that they were massacred for committing no crime. Your men (the Nigerian soldiers) massacred and maimed them for who they are and for what they believe in which is Biafra. The pains are really unbearable, my soul has become restless and  distressed. My soul can find solace again only if I see Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Nnamdi Kanu the leader of IPOB
Sir, one thing that should be a source of concern to you is that if anything happens to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the impending peril may not be contended. Words may not  explain what will happen if Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is in anyway harmed. The havoc Biafrans will wreck all over Africa not just Nigeria alone, will surely be unfathomable. I therefore urge you sir, to tread with caution in any issue involving Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, because over 70 million intellectuals and enraged Biafrans are ever ready to lay down their lives in defense of Biafra and Nnamdi Kanu. Yes! The end of Nigeria will come quicker than anticipated should anything happens to the leader of IPOB. We  swore an oath to restore Biafra come what may.

Moreover, it is indeed laughable that the army under your leadership is denying the indisputable fact that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whom they abducted on the eve of 14th September after they raided his home, is not in your custody. There is no way you can prove to the world that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not with the military because there are obvious evidence that attest to that.

It is very appalling, that the army who are paid to protect us, are the people kidnapping, maiming and killing us. Our taxes are used to pay your salaries. This is why I honestly do not understand why you and your soldiers have chosen to maim, kidnap and kill innocent civilians who pay you to protect them. It is really shameful that the Nigerian army has turned to a terrorist group under your watch.

The military we know to be men of honour and integrity have now turned to stuporous hoodoos and now, a conglomeration of inconsequential goons. The army is now an object of caricature that has replaced the Nigerian Police in stooping so low to doing petty jobs for the inept Nigeria politicians. The Nigerian army under your command has turned to chronic liars that lie carelessly about almost everything they do. Today, the army under your leadership has transformed into a tool used for gross human rights violations and promotion of ethnic bigotry and cleansing.

To the best of my knowledge, the military primary assignment is the defense of territorial integrity of a nation whenever it is threatened by external forces. The military are men of the battle field. It is really shameful and a thing of dishonour, that the army has taken to the streets terrorizing and perpetrating all sorts of inhuman sufferings on the innocent civilian population.

I wish  these atrocious crimes perpetrated by the Nigerian army  will be corrected after reading this letter. No conscientious being will be happy with the way the Nigerian army treats Nigerians. They have  lost everything relating to trust, respect and the little reputation the ordinary citizens have for them.
Yes! The Nigerian army has gone far beyond being called an army, because they possess and exhibit the wholesome qualities of  terrorism.

Finally, do really understand that it will be my greatest pleasure to me and millions of Biafrans if you can bring Nnamdi Kanu out from wherever you are holding him hostage, because his abduction by your men is becoming unbearable to us.

We will remain grateful if we are  able to see and talk to our uncompromising leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Never see this letter as an insult or a mockery to your personality, but rather, a candid observation, advice and most importantly a sincere plea. Extend my warmth and heartfelt regards to Nnamdi Kanu wherever you have kept him. Tell him that I and millions of Biafrans all over the world will remain forever loyal to his command. We are earnestly looking forward to getting your permission to see him and find joy once again.

I hope this letter gets to you.

                           Thanks

                         Yours sincerely,

          Nwafor Somtochukwu Aloysius,
