FAMILY WRITERS PRESS IN TOUCH WITH HISTORY [THE MAIDEN EDITION]

FAMILY WRITERS PRESS IN TOUCH WITH HISTORY [THE MAIDEN EDITION]

Family Writers Press gladly welcomes you to the first edition of her weekly program tagged:

"FAMILY WRITERS PRESS IN TOUCH WITH HISTORY"

A program aimed at educating the people on history. After the Nigerian Civil War, history was expunged from the School Curriculum in Nigeria in a bid to shield the evil and atrocities meted on the innocent people of Biafra before and during the War by the Hausa/Fulanis from the younger generation of Biafrans. But they forgot that a people without the knowledge of their past are bound to repeat the grave mistakes of the past. History has a way of repeating itself.

This deliberate act of expunging history in Nigerian schools has left many Nigerians half-baked with history and others with zero knowledge of the past and thereby suffering in the shameful hands of "history deficiency."
It was Marcus Garvey that said and I quote,
"A people without the knowledge of their (past) history is like a tree without a taproot"
Family Writers Press carried a survilance and discovered that over 99% of the younger population of Nigerians have a zero knowledge of the history of Nigeria. As a matter of fact many Nigerians today do not know how Nigeria came into existence. It is on this note that Family Writers Press have deemed it necessary to educate the people via her program titled:
" FAMILY WRITERS PRESS IN TOUCH WITH HISTORY"
Always stay glued to Family Writers Press as she embarks on this journey weekly to revisit the lanes of history.
