30TH OF MAY 2018: A REMARKABLE DAY OF VICTORY IN BIAFRALAND

30TH OF MAY 2018: A REMARKABLE DAY OF VICTORY IN BIAFRALAND

There was enthusiastically an aura of accomplishment amongst Biafrans, as there was a total lockdown of activities in the entire Biafran territory, in response to the call of the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) globally, for a Sit-At-Home, amidst threats from the Nigerian security forces. This was in concert with the commemoration of the Biafran Heroes and Heroines Remembrance day.

It was really a date with history where genuine Biafrans all over, stoutly expressed respect and honor to their fallen and living brethren who have sacrificed their lives and dignity in defense of their fatherland. 30th of May is annually observed to pay homage to the victims of Biafra genocide of 1967 till date. The Nigerian government has steadily been on the genocidal orgy of violence against Biafrans with so many being killed, maimed, abducted and incarcerated across different detention cells in the country. The mayhem spread across Biafraland in Asaba, Aba, Igweocha (Port Harcourt), Ebonyi, Enugu, Idoma, Igala, et cetera.

All the roads, churches, schools, markets, business centres and offices in were on standstill.  Some parts of Lagos amongst other places where Biafrans are domiciled, were not spared as the Biafran Heroes and Heroines were comprehensively honored in conformity with the clarion call by the IPOB leadership.

It could be recalled that Vanguard Newspapers and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), shamelessly concocted lies to hoodwink the gullible on the eve of the event that the "Sit-At-Home" on the 30th of May 2018, would not observed. That people should go about with their normal businesses. This they tried to achieve in connivance with the Ohaneze Ndigbo and other shameless saboteurs in Biafraland, with the primary intention of thwarting the commemoration. Earlier, the  Northern Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) had carried some statements suggesting that the IPOB poses a threat to the so-called national unity, collaborating what Umar Garba had said that: the family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) cannot make and enforce a Sit-At-Home. All these amongst other threats from the agents of the Nigerian government were floated as ploys to scuttle the 30th of May 2018 edition of the Biafran Heroes and Heroines Remembrance Day, as ordered by the IPOB leadership. But all these were clinically brushed aside by the resilient and courageous IPOB family members in Biafraland and elsewhere, to successfully bring to reality, all plans as orchestrated.

Shame to Biafra enemies!

Long live IPOB!!

God bless Biafra!!!
