BIAFRA: NIGERIAN CABALS ORCHESTRATED THE EBONYI COMMUNAL CRISIS - SAYS IPOB AFRICAN CONTINENTAL REP

Reporting from Abakiliki for Family Writers Press

The African Continental Representative of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide, Mazi George Onyeibe,  has confirmed the communal crisis that evolved recently in Biafraland. The disturbances which was the handiwork of some powerful Nigerian cabals (Hausa-Fulanis and their fellow Yoruba accomplices), took place in Ebonyi State, ostensibly to stamp their disdain for peace and unity amongst Biafrans.

He stated this in the popular/daily evening phone-in program of Radio Biafra London, anchored live by the deputy leader of the IPOB, Mazi Uchenna Okafor-Mefor, on Tuesday 26th June, 2018. Mazi Onyeibe maintained that the major reason behind the orchestration of the communal/tribal conflicts by these cabals within the Biafra territories, was to institute disunity and discord amongst the Biafran people, as their unity, love and peaceful co-existence have remained a colossal threat to one-Nigerianism.

It is pertinent to state here that Ngbo in Ohaukwu local government area of Ebonyi State and Agala people in Benue State, have been locked in communal wars with each other for the past one hundred (100) years,   which have claimed thousands of lives and properties worth billions of Naira wantonly destroyed. Up till date, the Nigerian government has not yet considered it necessary to initiate an enduring solution to the crisis. Instead,   there has been a callous connivance by the powers that be with the murderous security operatives to maintain and even worsen the status quo.

The case is not different either with the people of Izzi local government area of Ebonyi State and their neighbors in Yala local government area of Cross River State, all in Biafraland. There has been spates of land disputes amongst these communities since the year 2000. The recent communal conflict between Izzi and Yala communities got heightened with loss of lives and properties worth fortunes. The Muhammadu Buhari led federal government has remained docile in the face of this disturbances that has claimed the lives of the innocent.

Expressing his displeasure over the ugly development, the IPOB African continental representative, called on Biafrans irrespective of tribe and affiliation, to join hands together  and proffer lasting solution to this condemnable scenario involving brothers and sisters. He emphasized that allowing such to continue portends danger to the Biafra restoration efforts. He however, pointedly stated that though there could be distracting signals from the camp of the enemy, nothing whatsoever can truncate this divinely ordained drive of restoring the sovereignty of our fatherland. He encouraged all to remain focused and undeterred in this very unique and rewarding mandate.
