BREAKING NEWS:

IPOB WOMEN PROTEST THE CONTINUED EXTRA-JUDICIAL INCARCERATION OF MAZI NNAMDI KANU AND OTHERS BY THE NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT

The women wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), massively converged in Owerri, the Imo State Capital from across the entire Biafra territory, today, Friday 17th August 2018. They staged tsunamic protests undeterred, to press home their demand for the immediate release from extra-judicial incarceration of the IPOB worldwide leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other Biafran activists still held by the Nigerian government.

The women decried the lacklustre attitude so far exhibited by the international community particularly, the United Nations, United States of America, African Union and European Union, over the plights of Biafrans since the inception of the British contrapted called Nigeria right from the year 1914. They explicitly stated that the unholy union between the grossly divergent indigenous people groups of Arewa, Oduduwa and Biafra  by the British colonialist Fredrick Lugard is a mismatch. The resilient and courageous IPOB women called on the United Nations and other relevant international bodies and countries, to synergize and work out modalities for the conduction of acceptable referendum for the oppressed people of Biafra. This is the only democratic way globally, for the people to determine their future.

It should be recalled that the previous attempt by Biafrans to peacefully exit Nigeria after the ill-fated Aburi accord in Ghana, resulted in a catastrophic war leveled against Biafrans by Nigeria and her foreign allies between 1967 and 1970, which claimed the lives of over 3.5 million Biafrans including children, women and men. Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu of blessed memory, led the Biafran defense forces against the Nigerian vampiric military onslaught under the control of Yakubu Gowon that lasted for three good years. Biafrans faced the most annihilative policy of a government ever known in human history when the Nigerian government in connivance with her British and foreign allies employed the weapon of starvation alongside strenuous military campaign against Biafrans. There was excruciating hardship, hunger, diseases, mass murder and all despicable inhuman treatments against the people. All these atrocities committed were subtly shielded from world knowledge through the instrumentality of jaundiced and criminally biased journalism.

Many years after, the same ugly experience is being suffered by Biafrans in a more horrendous manner even in the 21st century, in the hands of the Nigerian government. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide ably led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu courageously emerged to challenge established interests by asserting their rights to self-determination. The IPOB has globally been rated as the most peaceful, highly enlightened, well organized, wisest and largest freedom fighting movement in the world even in the face of provocative treatments against it's membership by the Nigerian Security Operatives.

Hundreds of IPOB activists arrested by the Nigerian Police in complicity with other security forces in the land, are yet languishing in different prison custodies across Nigeria without court trials. Some whose trials were initiated, suffer incessant and mindless adjournments by the compromised Nigerian judicial officers.

The Nigerian government, Southeast governors and the Ohaneze Ndigbo socio-cultural group,  have criminally proscribed the world's most celebrated indigenous mass movement (IPOB) ever known in freedom fighting and had launched the most horrendous military exercise known as Operation Python Dance I & II in Biafraland to forcefully thwart the legitimate activities of IPOB. On the 14th of September 2017, the Nigerian army murderously invaded the palace residence of His Royal Majesty (HRM), Israel Okwu-Kanu,  Eze Udo 1 of Afara-ukwu, Ibeku in Umuahia, Abia State. This is the father of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Since then, neither the IPOB leader, his aged parents have been seen nor their whereabouts identified. Recall that an Abuja-based Federal High Court had earlier declared IPOB, a legal organization, duly vested with the right and freedom of assembly and association etcetera. Justice Binta Nyako clearly made this declaration in the court before the criminally-minded, self-serving, Hausa-Fulani bootlickers called Ohaneze Ndigbo, the Southeast governors and other caliphated political slaves in Biafraland.

During the callous military invasion of the residence of HRM Eze Israel Okwu-Kanu on the 14th of September 2017, quite a number of innocent Biafrans were killed whose bodies were taken away and dumped in different bushes. Many sustained various degrees of gun shot wounds, orchestrated by the terrorists infested Nigerian army. It was in the midst of this mayhem that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents were abducted.

The women wing of the Indigenous People of Biafra who converged today in their numbers at Owerri, from Enugu, Ebonyi, Delta, Abia, Anambra, Imo, Igweocha (Rivers), Cross River, Akwa-Ibom States etc, protested in unmistakable terms, against the myriad of injustices being meted out against their children, brothers and husbands in the contraption called Nigeria by the Islamic government of Nigeria.

They called for the immediate intervention of all relevant global community and nations to avert the pending catastrophe which will overwhelm not only the continent of Africa but the entire world if not properly handled. They maintained that "Biafrans will fight with every arsenal at their disposal, even to the last drop of their blood to exit Nigeria if the provocations persist".

Many close observers of the unfolding developments and the resilience of the IPOB globally, project that the restoration of the nation of Biafra is quite imminent. This they attribute to one of the earlier radio broadcasts of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, on Radio Biafra London, that "The day our women come out in this agitation, know you that the freedom of Biafra is close". Thousands of Biafran women thronged out enmass today in Owerri from across Biafraland, to unequivocally take their stand before the world, significantly relaying the message of the restoration of Biafra, to even the commoner in the society.
