BIAFRA: ENUGU PEOPLE PLEDGE SUPPORT TO THE RESTORATION STRUGGLE DURING ANNUAL NEW YAM FESTIVAL

The people of Enugu state in Biafraland have once again, overwhelmingly pledged their unalloyed support for the Biafra restoration project. This took place on Sunday 9th September 2018, during the celebration of the annual new yam festival organized by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in Enugu Province, ably led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The annual festival which specifically took place at Nkwo Nike was massively attended by IPOB Enugu family members, traditional rulers and lovers of freedom from within all nooks and crannies of the state and elsewhere. It featured numerous traditional dance groups, masquerades and of course the Biafra popular musician - Don Prince (aka Sampe Master), who stole the show with various tracks of his album, exceptionally driving home the gospel of Biafra restoration.
Mazi Ikechukwu Egbonwodo, the IPOB Enugu State Coordinator was not left out as he led members of his executive to the occasion. He expressed joy and satisfaction over the encouraging turn out of people particularly IPOB family members from within the state for the festival. Mazi Ikechukwu Egbonwodo scored the organizers high for a job well done stating that "with this impressive record, I am sure that our people are now more united to get Biafra restored. May Chukwu Okike Abiama (God Almighty), richly bless you all even as you journey back to your various destinations from here", he prayed.
In his interview with Family Writers Press crew, the event host, Pastor Kalu Samuel, the Enugu East Local Government Area Coordinator said "I am really overwhelmed by the level of cooperation which our people gave to us in making this program a resounding reality". He noted that the culture of Biafrans must be preserved despite the myriads of discouraging and unbearable factors that militated against it over the years.
In his speech before Newsmen, Mazi Ifeanyi, another hardcore IPOB family member maintained that "though the culture of Biafrans has in the past suffered near total collapse and attack resulting from colonialism/neo-colonialism, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has unstoppably emerged to completely restore Biafra and her culture".
Mazi Ikechukwu who is also a member of IPOB family in Emene, pointed out that "culture is not evil, but a way of life in which a particular group of people are identified with in a given community/society. It is important to note that every state or country is associated with a definite peculiarity and the annual new yam festival as being celebrated today, is one of the various cultural heritages of Biafrans which must be treasured/preserved".
Other participants in the event that bared their minds, equally expressed joy, readiness and determination to drive the agitation for the total restoration of the sovereign nation of Biafra to it's logical conclusion. The festival came to an end in an atmosphere of satisfaction and fulfillment.
