HOW BOYCOTTING NIGERIA ORGANIZED ELECTIONS WILL HERALD BIAFRA

HOW BOYCOTTING NIGERIA ORGANIZED ELECTIONS WILL HERALD BIAFRA

Biafrans have an opportunity to herald their beloved nation in 2019 by massively boycotting the forthcoming Nigeria general elections. This will show their readiness for their much desired nation to the international community. Why should Biafrans boycott Nigerian elections?
This is because the outcome of these charade called elections have absolutely nothing to offer. In other climes, elections are tools to relegitimize the mandates of politicians as leaders to continue to provide necessary first rate services to their citizens which are: first rate infrastructures, healthcare, jobs, business opportunities etcetera and to continue to move the State forward in the trajectory of development.

However, what do we have in Nigeria? We have a State that has failed, a State that is totally unable to provide even the most basic of stately responsibilities. A citizen in Igweocha (Port Harcourt), actually faced the reality of the failure of the Nigerian State when his wife was admitted in University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital for two weeks. She was asked to pay seven thousand five hundred naira (N7,000) per day for the admission which cost the family two hundred and fifty thousand naira (N250,000), failure to pay up, unable to pay, attracts detention by the hospital authorities and this is a country with a minimum wage of eighteen thousand naira (N18,000) per month for her workers. Is this what you will be voting for? To continue to be denied access to basic necessities of life? Another citizen had his child admitted in the hospital via incubation at a fee of five thousand naira (N5,000) per day for a man whose monthly income was N30,000 naira (thirty thousand naira) only. That child ended up spending over one month in that unit costing over N150,000 (one hundred and fifty thousand naira). The citizen had to sell most of his properties to foot the bill. Is this what you want him to vote for? To renew his slavery and suffering? This happened in Rivers State that is one of the top oil producing States, a land flowing with milk and honey.

What of the discrimination in cost of services to different citizens of the same country? A katsina citizen had his wife admitted in a teaching hospital in his state for two weeks at a total cost of just only seven thousand naira (N7,000). So you want the Biafran to vote for the continued discrimination in access to social services and opportunities in Nigeria? No way.

What of security of lives and property? Many people who voted for the late Mohammadu Buhari and his All Progressive Congress (APC) Party in Benue, Kogi, Plateau and Kaduna States in the year 2015, are no longer alive today to tell the story or even contemplate voting again in 2019, Why? These people have been killed in the past three years by marauding Fulani killer herdsmen aided by the Nigerian military and its security services? Are their surviving children and siblings to vote again in 2019 so as to be killed by the same terrorists?

Nigeria is a failed State and Biafrans want out of it to reclaim their stolen sovereignty and inheritances. Therefore, beginning the process of creating their own first rate nation that will take seriously, the art of progressive development.

A Biafran State will be an envy to many, with full regional autonomy, resource control, fiscal federalism, municipal development, freedom of speech, trial by jury, free health care, first rate infrastructural developments, quality education, massive free healthcare services, technological advancement and job creation. A State you can proudly describe as yours. One way to benefit from this State, is to say no to this fraud of a country by completely boycotting her elections.
Boycotting the elections and coupled with other steps to be taken by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), will most definitely, help facilitate our referendum for freedom as a people.
