JUBRIL SAGA: THE DOCILITY OF THE NIGERIAN MEDIA AND THEIR WESTERN COUNTERPARTS

JUBRIL SAGA: THE DOCILITY OF THE NIGERIAN MEDIA AND THEIR WESTERN COUNTERPARTS

The ongoing saga of the Sudanese impostor called Jubril Aminu Al-Sudani, presently presiding over the affairs of Nigeria as her President until 29th May 2019, has terribly precipitated professional docility of the Nigerian media. This has gravely infected the mainstream media outlets of the Western world whose journalists dot every nook and cranny of Nigeria, with absolutely no fruitful result. This to say the least, is the height of absurdity, professional stupidity and cowardice. It is appalling that for over a year now since Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the global leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), publicly gave the revelation of this  foreigner impersonating late President Muhammadu Buhari, none of the reputable mainstream media outlets of the Western world has deemed it necessary to accord such the desired  journalistic investigation. They are all docile and inept in carrying out their requisite functions as officially obligated. There has not been any editorial position on the allegation whatsoever following their investigations either in Nigeria, Sudan or Saudi Arabia. It is rather demeaning for one to get associated with this band of world acclaimed media on their complicit silence over such a high profile criminal act perpetrated against humanity. All that is prevalent is the "copy and quote" syndrome that has pervaded mischievous facebook postages of Mr. Femi Adesina and Alhaji Lai Mohammed who serve as principal officers of the  Fulani Islamists controlled Nigerian government. They labor strenuously in their desperation to launder the image of their employees, by denying the allegation devoid of concrete proofs.  These mainstream media outlets should of course, out of ethical journalism, wholesomely extricate themselves from disseminating concocted stories and misleading the general public. They should delve into their professional calling by carrying out indepth and unbiased investigations into the matter and officially give announcement of their findings to the world.

Recently, the Aso Rock impostor that is shamelessly masquerading himself as late President Muhammadu Buhari, traveled to Krakow in Poland and had a town hall meeting with some gullible Nigerian residents in that country. He was in that meeting asked if he truly is an impostor or the real President Muhammadu Buhari. To this, he swiftly and without any recourse to intellectual evaluation, actually responded as the impostor he is by saying: "I am real Buhari, I will soon be celebrating my 76th birthday and I will continue to get stronger". It was the peak of professional disgrace to notice that instead of these Western mainstream media outlets like CNN, BBC, AL-JAZEERA, RUSSIA TODAY, AFP etcetera, to proactively swing into action by fully utilizing the opportunity to launch investigation, they all complicitly exhibited docility like their compromised Nigerian counterparts. Can any rationale being expect to get a contrary response from such an impostor other than what was given? This infiltrator knows fully well that what he is into amounts to international crime with dire consequences. The media outlets would have insisted on carrying out their independent investigations and make the result public just like the IPOB crack team of journalists. They have relentlessly been searching for relevant proofs to convince the global community of their position in the matter.

The mainstream media outlets should as a matter of integrity, emulate the doggedness and courage of IPOB M-Branch intelligence network whose officers are currently  in every region of Sudan irrespective of cost implications, involved in unearthing the exact community/village from where the impersonator come.  The Western world mainstream media outlets whose journalists are scattered everywhere in Nigeria, are hereby challenged to eschew docility in discharging their duties of rightly informing the public instead of this "copy and quote" handouts from the compromised principal officers of the Nigerian government who are equally privy to the whole mess. It is important for these foreign media outlets to begin to tell the world the very exact story of this Sudanese impostor who is impersonating late President Muhammadu Buhari, based on their independent and unbiased findings. Followers of these Western world mainstream media outlets are becoming increasingly aversed  to the rhetorics of Femi Adesina and Lai Mohammed. The global community  wants to know the result of independent investigative journalism of these media outlets on the damning allegation levied against this Aso Rock occupant and nothing more.

If they fail therefore, to publish to the world the result of their expected independent investigation, there would then be left with the temptation to conclude that these media outlets may have mortgaged their professional ethics to service the criminal interests of the Nigerian government which many people already know, can transverse any length to bribe and block publication of  incriminating outcome emanating from such independent investigations of various media houses. Nobody would have ever imagined that these Western world mainstream media outlets could be as docile as the Nigerian media. It cannot be fathomed why the foreign media which seriously believes and cherishes investigative journalism, has not up till date, made any official editorial publication stating the outcome of independent invesrigations into this Sudanese impostor question. This is unarguably, what professional journalism portends and not the copy and paste information being concocted and posted by the principal officers of the Nigerian government, on facebook. The world is earnestly looking forward to seeing the editorial position of these foreign frontline media outlets, containing high profile investigative masterpiece that can prove the authenticity or otherwise, of the personality presently occupying Nigeria's seat of power as the President. The heat is on and the truth must certainly be laid bare for all to see.
