IPOB UNITS 4 & 5, UMUEBULE 4 ZONE 19, OBIGBO AREA 2 IN IGWEOCHA, BIAFRALAND, CELEBRATE NEW YAM FESTIVAL

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), comprising of units 4 & 5, Umuebule 4, zone 19, Obigbo in Igweocha province of Biafraland, joyfully celebrated their new yam festival on Sunday 20th October 2019. In his opening prayer, Rev. Yek Honey King committed the day's event into God's hands. A minute silence was observed in honor of the deceased mother of the IPOB leader, Lolo Ugoeze Sally Okwu-Kanu who reportedly passed on August 30, 2019.

Special guest of honor for the day and founder of Biafra Indigenous Council of Elders (BICOE), in his opening speech, called on the ancestral spirits of Biafraland to heed the cries of the people and fight the enemies of Biafra restoration project. He gave the revelation that the Ooni of Ife (Yorubaland), is in agreement with the Biafra freedom struggle, stating that they are ready to exit Nigeria with the nation of Biafra. He maintained that Biafra means light and that it's freedom will automatically bring to an end, the evil of "divide and rule policy" foisted on the people by the Nigerian government.

In an interview with Evangelist Ogaeri Lambert, there is this declaration that the Biafra restoration project is divinely orchestrated. He stated that he was neither called nor induced by anyone to enlist in the struggle but rather, through the vision given to him by God Almighty. He said that he had called on the undecided Biafrans to join the liberation struggle during the criminal invasion of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's residence at Afara-Ukwu Ibeku in Umuahia, Abia State, by the Nigerian military.

The IPOB zonal coordinator, Mazi Ikonne ably represented by his deputy, expressed gratitude for the encouraging turn out of participants. He enjoined the units to remain resilient and determined, assuring them of God's guidance, protection, provision and promotion. He equally charged them to continue setting the pace.

A Unit coordinator, Mazi Chima Anyanwu thanked the family members, guests, friends and well wishers for their support and physical presence. He restated his vow concerning the Biafra restoration, maintaining that all sacrifices being invested shall never ever go unrewarded. This attracted a thunderous Iseeeeeeee (Amen) response, from all.
