Maxwell Chuks reporting for Family Writers Press International,

Members of the family zone of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB Area 2 in Igweocha, Rivers State, have again declared their support for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (the leader of IPOB), and reiterate that they are not Nigerians but Biafrans.

The zone which disclosed this to Family Writers Press International in a special program on Sunday, described the codename “South-South” given to the part of BiafraLand they inhabit, as a political name and a “divide and rule” tactic of the Nigerian government.

Diamond Estate - Zone 2 Coordinator, Chris Okeke said;  “They divided us and told us that we are from the South-South and the Niger-Delta, why don't they also have North-North and West-West? Why is there no North-Delta?  That is to tell you how wicked and desperate they are - to divide and destroy us because of oil.”

Other coordinators who also spoke during the program expressed concern about the military siege in BiafraLand now the army is much needed in the North where there are serious security threats by Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and other Islamic terrorists.

“We, as Biafrans, are not safe in Nigeria. The police and the Nigerian army extort, humiliate and kill our people every day. The military also aid Fulani terrorists called herdsmen to destroy our farms, kill our people and also rape our women every day,” said members of the area in an interview.

Lolo Juliana Onu, a member of the zone who spoke with Family Writers Press International in an exclusive interview, described the achievement of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB for the restoration of Biafra as great.

She said; “So far, the achievement is excellent, and we will continue until Biafra is completely restored as a sovereign nation. I urge all Biafrans who are working for the restoration of Biafra to remain resolute because we are already at the doorstep of our success.”
