Asari Dokubo Has A Tough Lesson To Learn From Nnamdi Kanu

Asari Dokubo Has A Tough Lesson To Learn From Nnamdi Kanu
Asari Dokubo

When Mazi Nnamdi Kanu started his exposition on Niger Delta and the abnormality called South South, some Biafrans were totally against it. Some said IPOB Leader should not be picking on such matters. That it will divide us the more. How wrong they were.

Today, most of them that had this view have seen how this exposures have been yielding fruits. It has thrown up an aggressive debate that is uniting Biafrans even more. The truth is that both the name South South and Niger Delta are names the Caliphate used to divide us. But unfortunately, so many people don't know or are simply ignorant of the truth. Kanu isn't attacking anyone other than the people that concocted these names and artificial boundaries. And they are the Fulani, backed by the British. For the avoidance of doubt, I have stopped addressing the Fulani as Hausa-Fulani. That is another Nigeria lie we must stop helping them to propagate. There is nothing Like Hausa-Fulani. There is just Fulani who overthrew Hausa people and took over their lands since 1804 till this day.

As I was saying, before the little digression. Kanu was after the oppressors; yet so many people have been feeding fat on the division called Niger Delta and South South. Just like the Northern hegemony try earnestly to use some selfish individuals in South East to maintain the enslavement of Igbos, they also used some people in the so called South South to keep pining the people down. But before I continue, it is important to note that the creation of South East is also a fraudulent initiative. You can pick up a map of Nigeria and study it yourself. Look closely at the map, then you will understand truly that Calabar is more of a South East state than any other state which the Nigeria government fabricated into the region.

The elements eating from the dirty pots of Nigeria's abnormalities can never easily give up. Believe me, when you have been engaging in corruption, it takes same continuous corruption to maintain yourself. Moreover, the corrupt practices going on in Nigeria is very sweet and those engaging in it hardly want a stop to it.

I am not surprised seeing Asari Dokubo coming out to speak against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to the extent of calling him a con artist. Asari Dokubo no doubt, is a very important figure in the fight for the emancipation of the Biafra people. If he is selfless and sincerely ready to free his people, working closely with Mazi Nnamdi Kanu would have accelerated his movement for both freedom and resource control.

A lot of people have accused Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB of not consulting people from the coastal parts of Biafra. However, from what the IPOB leader said during his recent broadcast, it is evident that consultation and agreement had been in place. IPOB led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had some years ago tried to reach out to Biafrans in the coastal region through Asari Dokubo. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in his broadcast said that he signed out 20 million Naira through former IPOB senior member, Uchenna Asiegbu, which was given to Asari Dokubo, and which was aimed as a support to the defunct activists in the coastal region called 'Avengers'.

Till today, according to the IPOB Leader, Asari Dokubo has not accounted for the said money. Though Asari is asking for evidence that IPOB leader gave him money, a critical look into the issue will leave one in little or no doubt over the statement from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Asari's denial isn't strong enough, as Nnamdi Kanu mentioned the names of those he sent to his house in Benin Republic. Asari has been challenged by the IPOB Leader to say Uchenna Asiegbu never gave him money.

Personally, I must say that Asari Dokubo is in a position to lead his Ijaw people to freedom, but he is on a fast lane to destroy not only this position, but himself too. What do I mean?

Asari has proven that he is not truly for the people as he claims to be, but for himself and his stomach. Asari Dokubo has decided to stand on lies concerning his encounter with IPOB including the 20 million naira saga. But every body know he is telling lies. Yes we know. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has no reason to lie against him. Also, for the fact that the person that moved the money is no longer with IPOB puts Asari Dokubo in a tight corner. Will Asiegbu deny giving Asari any money? I doubt it. Men can fall out, but there are certain things they can't afford to do.

Asari Dokubo have been in the forefront for many years fighting for the emancipation of Niger Delta, a name MNK has proven to be a tool of division. However, his actions today shows that it was for himself that he fought for. A freedom fighter I must say, should not take a contract to guard oil pipeline from those that has no drop of oil in his backyard. It is like an owner of a mansion accepting to become a gatekeeper, while strangers take over his mansion. Asari decided to guard the pipeline, while Fulani people take over oil wells, NDDC, and NNPC. This action has made Asari Dokubo extremely rich, but not without pauperizing his people the more. But it appears that Asari Dokubo himself is a proud pipeline guard for the Fulani. Terrible, isn't it?

Have you been to the so called Niger Delta? Yes, I did my NYSC in  the region. It is nothing to write home about. Believe me, you can never believe that there is a locality that for more than 50 years have sustained Nigeria and made Abuja, Kano and Lagos what they are today. You need to see the type of water they use for bathing and drinking. A bag of pure water is not affordable there, as you hardly see a pure water company there, due to oil spillage and pollution. The so called Niger Delta is generally poor, but their elites and politicians are super-rich. You don't understand it right? The worse is that an average Niger Deltan is ready to defend these elders raping them, in the name of respect for elders. Instead of facing these truths, they would rather launch attacks on IPOB and Ndi Igbo while the Fulani foot soldiers keep encircling them.

I think what Asari Dokubo is doing is to align  more with the Fulani Federal government and the so called Niger Delta elites, than stand with ordinary people. That is exactly what differentiates him from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB. IPOB is millions of miles away from the dirtiness of the powers that be. Nnamdi Kanu led IPOB is the voice of the people and never succumb to politicians who have sworn to keep the people down.

I don't see Asari Dokubo's fall out with IPOB as harmful, rather it is a big lesson to both parties, even though it will affect Asari and dethrone him as a voice of authority in the so called Niger Delta. You can't lie over 20 million you received and still claim to be a voice of authority. Everything shouldn't be contract to you, including helping to free your people.

Asari Dokubo has jettisoned his own Niger Delta to build a massive private University in Benin Republic. His agitation has not really empowered the common man, which he aimed to achieve. And the question now is, why should Dokubo be against a genuine move by IPOB to liberate Biafrans? What is he really fighting for? To keep the name Niger Delta intact?

IPOB has said it that Biafra will be a confederate state. In Biafra you will own your resources and control it 100%. You will make your own laws in your own land, using your own language. The people will jointly write the constitution and there must be a clause for secession should any component part so wish or desire to quit the union.  And no one must be forced to belong to Biafra, as referendum must be conducted. So tell me again, why Asari Dokubo is against the restoration of Biafra? There is no other group that is serious about Biafra agitation and restoration other than IPOB. Therefore when you are against IPOB, you are against the restoration of Biafra.

I see new leaders rising from Ijaw land and all over coastal region of Biafra. Selfless leaders who will rather use their resources to fight than asking to be paid. Leaders that will be so detached from today's corrupt elites and liars. People that will have nothing to do with settlement from Nigerian government to jettison their fight against injustice. They will rise from among the people to liberate their own people.

These crop of leaders will jettison the name Niger Delta. They will understand that South South is a misnomer that exists no where in the world, apart from the zoo called Nigeria. They will proudly carry their Biafra identity like a flag.
