What Is Rev. Fr. Mbaka's Crime In Praying For Mazi Nnamdi Kanu?
Sometimes, one will be strained to ask what has really happened to the humanity in some people that they have turned so barbarous and callous. What is the problem with humans in this part of the world? Is it just because of the cursed country called Nigeria or has the devil so plagued some individuals that they see even good thing as evil? Some people have become so envious of their fellow's progress. And so, thinks they should dictate to even men of God on who to bless and who to curse.
I have sat down to think and tried knowing if anything is actually wrong with the prayers Fr. Mbaka prayed for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Is it that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu does not deserve to be prayed for, or that it is wrong for Fr. Mbaka to pray for any particular person, but I can not really fathom. Mbaka as a man of God is under obligation to pray for both sinners and saints.
I was taught that Prayer is the act of communicating with a deity (especially as a petition or in adoration or contrition or thanksgiving), telling God your intention. And when you pray, you pray according to the way the spirit directs you. No body can dictate to another what to pray for and how to say the prayers. Why is Fr. Mbaka’s prayers raising dusts? Or, is Mazi Nnamdi Kanu a Satan that is condenmed and thus cannot be prayed for?
Priests of God especially Catholic priests are known for using their hands to bless people rather than cursing them. This is exactly what this reverend priest just did.
The more surprising thing is that Fr. Mbaka has always prayed for politicians, and none of those prayers have ever become an issue to the Nigeria Department Of State Security (DSS). He prayed for president Muhammadu Buhari, he prayed for Hope Uzodimma of Imo state, he prayed for Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State and many other politicians in the country, and nobody have ever seen or said anything bad about it. So, why has Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case become an issue, and such a serious one to warrant DSS's invitation?
Fr. Mbaka is a man of God, he is an ordained priest of God, he has the full right to pray for anybody he chooses anytime and anywhere without human's dedication. He blesses whom God tells him to bless and shred anybody the spirit of God in him tells him to shred. How is that a problem to DSS?
Likewise, We are all created differently. what you hate, is what another likes. One man’s meat maybe another man’s poison. So, if you hate Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, you should not think that Fr. Mbaka will do the same. Rev. Fr. Mbaka has done his duty as a priest of God; he did as the Spirit directed him. haters should go and do their worst, after all, no matter what you do, some people must still feel offended.
