Nigeria: This Brewing Plague Is Avoidable

Nigeria: This Brewing Plague Is Avoidable

Senseless attacks and destruction of lives and properties has unarguably become a norm in the geographical location, called Nigeria. This has remained so since the forceful marriage of divergent cultural and religious ideologies by the British. Britain colonized Nigeria, and has been the sole benefactor of the forced union, to the detriment of the indigenous peoples who have continually shown disapproval in various ways.

A disgraceful pitch invasion and destruction of valuable items in Abuja on the 28th day of March is a product of irritation about everything concerning Nigeria. People are well fed up of the system that has no working face.

Just for space of a few days back, there have been series of terrorist attacks on innocent and defenseless citizens, while the President Buhari's led government appears helpless.

One of the most pathetic is the bomb blast attack by the Fulanii terrorists on a passenger train, along Abuja - Kaduna route. So many precious lives were lost to this incident, and so many were taking away to unknown destinations. Yet there is no government to help.

Injustice and clampdown on people's rights, especially the Biafran people have unabatedly continued.

Last year 2021, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) was kidnapped in Kenya by security agents of the Buhari government, brutally tortured and extraordinarily renditioned him to Nigeria. This man has been unjustly detained under unimaginable conditions in the facility of the department of state security(DSS).

It is actually important to note here that IPOB leadership have been intelligently wedging what could have since become the outcome of this terrible injustice on Kanu.

Kanu has very large followership and lovers who call on the universe daily for interventions on his behalf.

Most of these people are not even under the command of his freedom movement, IPOB. Among them are persons that a willing to get to any length in seeing Nigeria bow. So, continuing to detain him will eventually spell what we humans cannot clearly begin to imagine for the moment.

Recently, even people that are not from Kanu's tribe or religion are beginning to show great concerns about the man's ordeal in the hands of the Nigerian government and her corrupt security agencies. This is grave pointer.

In a tweet, Nasir Isa Usman had asked a compelling question: "ls Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the person attacking us here in kaduna, bombing Abuja-Kaduna railways, hijacking airport runways"?

If the answer is capital No, then he should be released from @DSS terrorist dungeon.

Another tweet from Alhaji Shehu Galadima's handle reads;  "We keep on saying release that innocent man before it is too late for all of us in this country, to evade what took place in Egypt to repeat in Nigeria, i have seen the handwriting on the wall, Allah is not happy with Nigeria for holding his own. The anger of Allah is on people of Nigeria for holding Mazi Nnamdi Kanu".

Another also reads: "We keep on saying : release this innocent man(Nnamdi Kanu) before it's too late for all of us in this country. There are some unconfirmed information I hardly believe or I take it with a pinch of salt because should anything happen to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, that young man is like an atomic bomb o".

Unimaginable number of lives and hard earned properties of citizens have been lost as a result of the continued existence of this British contraption, Nigeria and the destruction it represents. Yet, it seems this is just the beginning.

The world should not continue pretending not to see the handwriting on the wall. Leaders and men of good conscience should act positively to rescue indigenous peoples trapped in the contraption called Nigeria to evade impending danger.

This brewing plague can actually be averted.

A referendum holds the key.
