NNAMDI KANU HEADS TO COURT: MATTERS ARISING

NNAMDI KANU HEADS TO COURT: MATTERS ARISING
By Ifeanyi Chijioke
(For Family Writers)
Today being 18th of November, the leader of indigenous people of Biafra will be presented before the magistrate court in Abuja on yet to be known charges. Questions will trickle in as to what will be the fate of Nnamdi Kanu hence Nigerian court is judging a man perceived to be an enemy to them. Has Nigeria the moral right to judge Nnamdi Kanu? Will the same court that issued an order and its order was trampled on by Buhari and DSS do more than they have done? If Buhari is greater than a competent court of law then what will be the fate of the proceedings? It's clear the case will continue receiving adjournment to tactically orchestrate means to hurt the leader of indigenous people of Biafra.

The Nigerian government has shown no sign of respect for the law nor the human right of the people of Biafra. In spite of the sustained and massive protests that had crippled the eastern part of Nigeria, the government has only promised to use soldiers and engage peaceful protesters instead of solving the problem, in some quarters it is believed it's a call for an all out massacre of Biafrans and while exercising right to self-defense could lead to another civil war. Meanwhile, today's court will make or mal the already deteriorating scenario of the matter, if the case is handled cautiously and all protocols observed then it would go a long way calming the tension but if Nigerian government should toe the part of negligence to rule of law, which would kill the hope of legal resolution, it would however spark a more fierce demonstration and the time bomb will explode. Everybody will pay the price of illegality and negligence but it's up to Nigerians and Biafrans to oppose Buhari who had before now shown disrespect to the lives of Nigerians and Biafrans when he promised monkey and baboon will be soaked in blood and in 2011 ordered killing of people through motivated post election violence
