  15. Just as Prof. Wole Soyinka said "once an idea has taken hold, you cannot destroy that idea.  You may destroy the people that carry the idea on the battlefield, but, ultimately, it is not the end of the story.” Nigerian gov should know that Biafra is an idea and ideas are more stronger and more dangerous than bullets. The release of Nnamdi Kanu is a merry Christmas to all indigenous people of Biafra. I can't wait to hear his freedom speech

  19. Now that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has rightly ordered the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of the so called IPOB, we hope that this would bring to an end this season of agitation madness. The various factions of MASSOB can now retreat to their respective domain and try next time to listen to voices of reason. It should be pointed out here that the incarceration of Nnamdi Kanu by the SSS does not elevate him as a hero to the Igbo nation. He is definitely NOT a hero! The true heroes of the Igbo nation were the young men and women, and millions of children who met their untimely death during the civil war. In 1966, Ojukwu personified the collective frustration of the Igbo nation faced with gruesome massacre in Northern Nigeria. Having been pushed to the wall, the Igbo nation had no option than to fight back. To the millions of men and women dead or alive of the Igbo nation, Ojukwu and the brave Biafra soldiers who literally fought with their bare hands to defend us against the rampaging Nigeria Army were indisputably the true Igbo heroes. There was no self-serving, ego –massaging and ‘Johnny just come’ approach to matters of serious significance as quest for self-determination. The subsequent demise of the Biafra Republic thereof has with time metamorphosed into an enigma, a painful reminder to the Igbo nation of a failed opportunity by the Nigerian nation to redefine our Federalism, the ‘Sovereign National Conference’ that regrettably escaped from our grips. If the renewed agitation for the actualisation of an Independent Biafra is based on this supposedly ‘near –miss ‘scenario, then in the current democratic dispensation, it turns into a Nigeria problem and should be addressed by all the component nationalities in Nigeria – the Yoruba, Fulani, Ogoni, Hausa etc. Chief Emeka Ojukwu of the blessed memory was inches away from pulling that off in the famous ‘Aburi Accord’. Fifty years on, the Nigeria demography and landscape has changed beyond recognition. Now that Nnamdi Kanu has regained his much awaited freedom, he can do the Igbo nation a world of good by relocating to Nigeria from his comfort zone in the UK. He can join the political process and energise the national campaign for a total restructuring of the Federation. That is what is on the table right now from all the different nationalities, the Igbo nation included. . I am sure Nnamdi is intelligent enough to know that. He can initiate a Referendum and the world would stand up and recognise his views and the Igbo nation would rally round Him. This agitation should not be made to look like an exclusive Igbo problem that lives would be lost for and commercial activities paralysed. In 1966, the Igbo nation after building massive businesses across Nigeria abandoned them and flew to south eastern Nigeria. They eventually lost everything at the end of the conflict. Their houses and properties littered all over the country now referred to as ‘abandoned properties.’ The Igbo nation shall never be intimidated or fooled to have a repeat of this. Nigeria’s nascent democracy is evolving and the Igbo nation, like the rest of other clamouring nationalities is a genuine stakeholder in this conglomerate. We will sink or swim with it.
And in the event of Nnamdi Kanu championing such a laudable cause of a Biafra renaissance through a defined constitutional means, those of us who are detractors today will raise up and in unison classify and upgrade his status as a hero of the Igbo nation. On the basis of this latest ill-informed, ill-timed, ill-judged and haphazardly organised agitation, he is not gonna get it; neither would those who have sadly lost their lives and suffered immeasurable losses in their businesses.

    1. YOUR SO CALLED POLITICAL SCRAP NOTES ARE VEHEMENTLY ANTI IPOB, #BIAFROPHOBIC AND CONSIST IN YOUR MISGUIDED WISHFUL THINKING IN TOTALITY. YOU MAY BE ONE OF THE FOOLS WHO THINK RESTORATION OF SOVEREIGN COUNTRY OF BIAFRA IS A CHILD'S PLAY. YOU HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING YET UNTIL #BIAFRA IS RESTORED IN TRUTH AND HONESTY. NOTE THIS: BIAFRA IS IDEA, IDEOLOGY, RELIGION AND SUCH LIKE. "IDEAS ARE STRONGER THAN BULLETS".

    2. POLITICAL SCRAP NOTES, you failed to convey any sense and really you wrote a very wicked scrap or crumb. Firstly, you exposed your very deep ignorance when you try to classify IPOP as fractions of MASSOP. Secondly, calling the agitation for the release of Nnamdi Kanu and the agitation for self determination and restoration of Biafra as “agitation madness” is the highest form of madness and wickedness combined. Who gave you the right to define to the Igbo nation who is her Hero and who is not? Who told you that such classification is important to the Biafran project right now? For your information, Nnamdi Kanu is not only a Hero but a Mega Hero. What have you POLITICAL SCRAP NOTES done to help emancipate your community not to talk of the Igbo Nation. Who are you then to suggest where Nnamdi Kanu stays to continue his excellent works? You wrote:
“... And in the event of Nnamdi Kanu championing such a laudable cause of a Biafra renaissance through a defined constitutional means, those of us who are detractors today will raise up and in unison classify and upgrade his status as a hero of the Igbo nation …”
Which constitution would you use to pursue your so called “defined constitutional means”? I hope you are not referring to the long discredited 1999 constitution or its amendments thereof? Do you think that with the structure of Nigeria today and the composition of the national Assembly you can make any change that would favor the SE and SS in the 1999 Constitution? As an avowed and non repentant detractor of the Biafran Project, why don’t you remain in your blindness and continue to deceive yourself into thinking you can perform any miracle for the total restructuring of your so called Federation. Biafrans are not interested in your so called Federation. After more than 100 year of experiment in your Federation, is it not time you woke up from your deep slumber to understand that you and your generations to come have no chance!
