HOW SWEET IS THE BLOOD OF THE BIAFRANS

HOW SWEET IS THE BLOOD OF THE BIAFRANS

IPOB killed by Nigeria police
Today at about 1:00am, the peaceful Biafran protesters were shot at along Onitsha Head Bridge. These protesters were demanding for an unconditional release of the director of radio Biafra Prince Nnamdi Kanu who was arrested by the DSS on the 14th Day of October 2015. Since then, He only appeared in court from the DSS cell on the 23rd Day of November 2015 and the case was adjourned. He was to appear in court again on the 1st Day of December 2015.

Kanu’s sympathizers and the Biafrans have waited patiently for his appearance in court and hopefully that he will finally be judged and either released or jailed depending on the outcome of the judgment. But all was to no avail as he was nowhere to be found in court and no significant reason was given why he never appeared and to make the matter worst, no date was fixed for another hearing. This has caused an uproar as his people took to the streets requesting for his release and they were being killed.
The bitter story is that the same situation that ushered in the 1967-1970 bloody civil war is repeating itself. It was as a result of this same kind of deliberate killing of Biafrans that Odumegwu Ojukwu a man of honour got infuriated by the development and decided to save his people. In the process, the Biafrans were tagged rebels and genocide committed against them. It was a murderous attack jointly mated upon the Biafrans by the Nigerian civilians, the British government and the Nigerian armed forces.

Nnamdi Kanu the leader of the indigenous people of Biafra was arrested since October up until now, it is a thing of one story to another. Tales that are not legally backed by any law on earth which is simply an abuse of human right, His people are protesting for his release and there has been a renewed killing of Biafrans again in this new age.  The elders and the political elites from Biafra have kept mute and formed deaf ears as the situation keep unfolding.

The direct attack on these peaceful protesters keep growing as the day go by yet the elders from the East will not get it  as just a simple message from the Nigerian state, “we killed you and will kill your children even before your very eyes and you will do nothing” . It is heart breaking when armless Biafrans are been attacked with fire arms as if in a war situation. The world is watching as if killing Biafrans is a Global agreement but I don’t think the Blood of the Biafrans will be as sweet as it use to be, I perceive it will be very bitter and undrinkable this time. In a situation where this magnitude of lawlessness is been practiced it automatically turns such an environment into a jungle and the inhabitants of any jungle are mainly beast.
